A very cozy small hotel, I felt like staying at a friend’s home. The room was spacious, staff was friendly. Best located for exploring Palermo. With a walking distance to the central station and all attractions of the city. Recently renovated.

The hotel is very well located, close to the action but quiet. The staff were very nice and the breakfast excellent. The drawbacks were the air conditioning which was very inconsistent and the smell of sewers in the room which did dispel if the bathroom fan ran continuously.

A little difficult to find but, once you do it’s a decent hotel. It has a small lobby and the rooms are reasonably spacious and very clean. A very nice up-market B&B in the heart of historic Palermo. The room was spotlessly clean and quite spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Location is just minutes away from major attractions such as the Cathedral and Royal Palace. Be aware that you have to climb a few flights of stairs to get to the apartments so may be a problem if you have mobility issues.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast delivered to our door was a nice touch, and it was hot and tasty. Unfortunately the smart TV wasn’t working properly but that’s very minor. The drive to parking was VERY tight but we made it. You’ll keep fit with the stairs but you’ll not beat the location of this place, right in the centre of all the action, lots of restaurants and shopping.

Check-in was a hassle but getting in and out of the room got easier after I figured all the keys and doors out.

The hotel staff were fabulous. Very friendly and helpful. Our room looked out to Massimo Teatro, which was beautiful. It's a very lively area.I was traveling with a friend and requested twin beds. The beds were a little stiff for my liking. Even though our room faced the main drag, once we closed our balcony door, the room was quiet. I would definitely go back to this hotel.

This is a great place with good location. The only problem is the entrance to the hotel you have to go up a flight of stairs. Also this place is a little limited when it comes to facilities.

We had a great night. Everyone was super helpful and friendly! The room was spacious and nicely decorated. The aircon also made it a nice refugium for an afternoon nap when the heat of the city is too much. The location is perfect for a stroll through the old town. Great hotel for your stay in Palermo!

The location was perfect. The owners were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable for us. The shower was small, but the water pressure was excellent. Isabella made our check in and our stay very convenient. The room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was small for a triple bed room. The location of the hotel allowed us to explored the historic center and gave us easy access to transportation to farther areas. We felt comfortable leaving our car in street parking nearby.

Nice hotel. Outside of historic center but it is easy to travel to any part of the city using busses (a bus passes in front of the hotel every 10 min or so). Several dinning options within walkable distance.

The property's location is perfect, the rooms spacious and well-appointed, and I'd say the bathroom was recently redone. The staff is courteous and helpful. The only problem is the quality of sleep: the fixtures (both windows and wooden shutters) are as beautiful as they are useless in blocking out the noise from the street below. And during the night, there's a constant stream of cars blasting radios...

This is a charming place in a great location. The staff went out of their way to assist us. It is clean and well appointed, very comfortable. There was a bottle of wine waiting for us upon check in and wonderful bath products for our use. I would 100% stay here again.

Lovely apartment building very near the centre of Palermo. Staff were incredibly helpful before and on arrival. The two bedroom apartment was clean, provided excellent toiletries and complimentary wine and water. The kitchen was well-equipped. My only concern would be the road noise which was particularly bad on one night. Definitely recommend a stay.

Cute 16th century place. Adequate service very slow and not consistent. Beds not very comfortable so I slept on the couch. Only thing that was nice was the breakfast and surprisingly for an area with some of the best espresso their espresso was disgusting.

The hotel iand staff are great. The pubs in the area when they are open Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday are very loud and even with the windows closed you better be a heavy sleeper or you will have to wait until 5am to get some sleep. Other than that the staff is there when needed breakfast was good.

The street side room is above restaurants so noise volumes are a bit louder but i was so tired that it did not keep me up.

Showing signs of age This must've been an awesome property when it opened 10 years ago, but it is not the same as it once was. The walls are dirty in some places, some of the gaps between the tiles are discolored, the cracks are starting to appear in the shower floor. The room was crowded to the point that it was hard to move the desk chair out. And that is the only chair there was in the room....

The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from the train station in mostly quiet residential area. The breakfast is not included but well worth the price. Be sure to order the evening before. This property could be fantastic with a bit of work/repairs. I can live with a few tiles missing in the shower and bathroom but what cause my low review was the lack of air conditioning. They turn it off in the cooler months for the whole building! Was not informed of this on check in and after waking in a seat at 1am went to the desk and they told me to open the window...around 2am the garbage...

Great experience, the staff was kind, breakfast quite rich, only flaw there is not much choice for lactose intolerance, only some biscuits and jams! The rooms are quite clean, the towels are changed every day!

Stayed for 3 nights with a family of 6, including 4 children under age 10. We basically had two separate bedrooms - my wife and I slept in one with the baby in the provided crib and the 3 older children all had single beds in the other room with the kitchen. Both rooms had a full bath. Table and chairs, small refrigerator, hot water kettle, cooktop, sink, and tableware all included. Only complaint...

The host was very responsive and when an issue occured she arranged alternative accomodations for a night. Her apartment is like walking back in time 100 years with antique furnishings and 13' high ceilings. Veruly comfortable and easy walking distance to attractions and restaurants.

Everyone was kind and helpful. They were very accommodating sine I arrived early an allowed me to get into my room. When I got there breakfast had ended and I was allowed to partake for a discounted even though it was not part of my stay. Jet lag made me late the second day and again they let me eat.

This hotel was so welcoming! Even though we had to leave before breakfast they brought a breakfast platter up to our room with lots of yummy stuff on it! It’s a boutique hotel so it has a great personality and super cute rooms!

We loved the design that combines the old castle building with modern touches, including the scooters and bicycles used as decorations. The service was warm and full of personal touches. We really enjoyed the welcome cocktail and the cassata cake. A very generous breakfast and spotless rooms made the stay even better. In the end, it is truly great value for money.

Porta Di Castro is a well placed hotel, but set in an edgy district of Palermo. Charming staff whom were very helpful and respectful.

Not for noise-sensitive people. It was quite noisy, as the windows were very thin and there was no real natural light in my room. Cleanliness was mediocre. Towels are only changed after departure, I suspect.

It's five minutes from Palazzo Reale Station, making it convenient for visiting the main attractions. The quietness at night is also remarkable, allowing for a good night's sleep. Together with other colleagues we stayed in this hotel near the University of Palermo. It is a family-run hotel and the staff was very helpful and welcoming, making our stay pleasant. Clean rooms with good daily cleaning service. Breakfast offered very good and eaten under a very nice (isolated) gazebo. I highly recommend!

The property is located just steps from the Quattro Canti, an excellent location for walking to all attractions. We found our room a bit dated and definitely in need of a makeover. The headboard is made of fabric, which is not washable and therefore unhygienic. The air conditioning is noisy, so if it's very hot and you have to leave it on at night, it would be annoying. The soundproofing is terrible...

Never again. Not worth the price The place is not up to standard. Very old building with little maintenance. Electrical fittings are old and don't inspire confidence. No wardrobe or mini fridge, the paint on the wall needs a new coat and the curtains need replacing. The air condition unit looks like 15 years old. I switched it off after 2 minutes as it was letting off a bad smell. No luggage store...
