This hotel is conveniently located near the highway, making it perfect for self-driving travelers. There are also large supermarkets and other shopping centers nearby, and it's very close to Chiusi train station. The room size is decent, and it's clean, with a free mini-bar. The breakfast is good, and the steak for dinner is also excellent. The surroundings are beautiful, with a charming rural landscape.

We had a really nice stay at Il Patriarca. The hotel has a slightly quirky Tuscan charm, especially in the rooms, which makes the place feel very welcoming and gives it some character.

The location is very convenient if you’re planning daily trips around the area, and there’s plenty of parking, which was a big plus for us. There’s also a lovely pool with a nice view, perfect for relaxing after a day out.

The food selection was decent, especially by Italian hotel standards. There’s a restaurant in the hotel as well, which is a bit expensive compared to other places in the area, but it’s a convenient option if you don’t feel like going out or don’t have many other choices nearby. We had the beef and pici and it was very nice. Tiramisu was also good for dessert. The staff were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay.

This hotel is very close to the highway exit, which is super convenient if you're driving. The room was clean and tidy, and I especially loved the Roman-style window – it added a really nice touch. The breakfast was decent too, pretty much met our needs. They also have an outdoor pool with great views! The hotel restaurant had a lovely ambiance and the food tasted great; it was quite busy.

Aside from the building lacking an elevator, it is a perfect hotel in many ways. The entire hotel has a beautiful and antique atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and clean.

The staff at the reception and restaurant are all friendly. Dinner was also satisfying. I highly recommend this hotel for a trip to Tuscany.

My friend and I stayed at Il Patriarca for 3 nights in October. I had booked the stay, which included breakfast, 2 dinners and a cooking class, through Travelzoo. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I must say we were greeted and treated as though we were top patrons. Linda at the front desk was especially helpful throughout our stay, answering all questions, arranging cabs…anything we needed. Our cooking class with Chef Donna at the helm exceeded all expectations! There were only 6 of us in the class and we had several hours of hands-on experience making 4 types of pasta, fillings and sauces. After the class, we were treated to a fantastic lunch in the dining room eating all of our “creations”! Perfecto!

Clean, well maintained, good breakfast, perfect for one night stop close to highway.

The room was freezing at night; the air conditioning was malfunctioning. I called the front desk and they said they had adjusted the temperature, but in reality, they hadn't… It was like an icebox. The shower was practically a cold shower. Even the American guests at the hotel complained about the cold showers during breakfast. Clearly, the hotel's air conditioning and hot water are faulty.

We stayed at Il Patriarca for 1 night in September 2024. After arriving, we wished that we would've had more days to spend there. The hotel was beautiful. We arrived rather late; the staff was so accommodating and even gave us a room upgrade. The bathroom was so nice and clean, it was more like an "American" bathroom. You know what I mean if you've spent a decent amount of time in Italy. The bed and pillows were comfortable. There is a nice breakfast in the morning that is included with your stay. They had many items to choose from and of course cappuccinos! We didn't get a chance to have dinner in their restaurant, but we did talk to a couple that did and they said it was very good. The grounds were meticulously kept, and it was a beautiful place inside and out! We will definitely stay there again if we ever get the chance to return to Italy! The pictures don't do it justice, you have to see it in person! Thank you for your hospitality!

We stayed 4 nights at Il Patriaca. Our room was spacious and very clean. We had a wonderful gourmet dinner our first night in the lovely dining room. The next few days we had a really fun learning experience and enjoyed the fruits off our labor for lunch. We drove to Asissi one day and enjoyed exploring the town and another day we drove a loop through Tuscany. We had dinner 2 nights at the Taverna at Il Patriaca. Food was quite good and service impeccable. This location is perfect for weddings, with beautiful grounds, flower gardens, etc.

The room was clean and cozy. It felt like a country hotel. There was a restaurant next door with a great atmosphere and it was lively. Guests and villagers would come to eat there.
