I travelled solo but as part of a coach trip. Some didn’t like the hotel but I really enjoyed it. It was a bit quirky but I like that. My room was large and immaculately clean as was the shower room. The only tiny problem was the slightly uncomfortable mattress but I sorted that out and had a much better sleep at night. The breakfast was fantastic and set you up for the day. The evening meals were fine but a few of the mains were a bit hit and miss. I still managed to eat them all. I usually prefer to pay my bar bill as CNN I go along rather than sign but I kept track on my calculator so that was fine. The staff were great which makes all the difference. The town was really nice. I didn’t explore a huge amount as I was out every day but would certainly return under my own steam and explore some more of the town. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Great hotel, delicious food with large portions. Breakfast was also excellent, nothing to complain about. And a good, spotlessly clean room with air conditioning. The beds were a bit hard, that's the only downside. But if you put the blanket on the bed under the bottom sheet, that's solved. I'd read some bad reviews, but in my opinion, they were completely unfounded!

Rooms are basic and dated. Springs stick out of your mattress, the air conditioning doesn't work, and the light above the mirror is broken. The staff is unfriendly, the owner is rude and very unfriendly. The front desk is often unstaffed. Room keys are left unattended on the desk. We tried it with a fellow traveler, and you could easily take the key to another room. Absolutely terrible!!! Breakfast was mediocre; the bread was hard and inedible. Yogurt instead. Dinner was fine. During the day, there's no food or drink available, except for the bar across the street. The pool is clean, but the paving is in very poor condition. So watch your step. The shower faucet in the pool was completely covered with tape. The village is deserted, with many vacant buildings, and nothing to do. All in all... a terrible hotel. I completely agree!!! The dinner itself was also terrible: soup tasted like Olvarit, the same fish and meat four times a week, vegetables where? My son developed (mild) pneumonia caused by black mold, and my daughter vomited in the same room. Changed rooms three times: the air conditioning was broken, water wouldn't drain in the toilet, shower, and sink, the mattress was hard and especially broken, the shower doors were loose in a handicapped room, the doorframe was coming loose due to leaking air conditioning, too many defects to list. The hotel is located in a ghost town, making it feel unsafe to walk the streets at night. And considering that the official owner of this hotel is Vatican City, would the Pope want to stay here? An asylum seeker in the Netherlands would turn up their noses, and we, as tourists, have to pay for this.

Terrific staff, food good, great views, scrupulously clean . Room had a few quirks eg the only power socket was behind a piece of furniture and the light switches had a mind of their own. My only gripe is that my mattress was hard and lumpy oh, and you could hear everything going on around you (maybe some sound proofing could be invested in). Their main asset is the people from reception to restaurant staff who were friendly, efficient, helpful and hard working

Came with Shearings coach tour which was fantastic ! However the hotel was very basic and the food was just edible. (Cheese toastie and green beans) !, a grey looking risotto which apparently was red radish ?, pasta soup of some kind. The food was literally slopped onto your plate 😆. Didn’t know what we was eating half the time. The bedrooms .. very dated and the bed mattress was so cheap and you feel the springs in the mattress. Good luck trying to pull up the blind on the window cos you need to be like popeye to master this. Safes don’t work in rooms so you have to give reception any valuables to look after. The hotel is pushing a 2 star and I’ve stayed in places all over the world. Also the town .. there is no town, no shops as they are all closed down. There is little sandwich shop directly across the road from the hotel though. It served as a base but that is all.

Cancelled Tuscany Xmas holiday due to reservations about the quality and ambigious information on the final joining instructions. Glad I did after reading the reviews. Lost all my money. Legers don't want to know. It is a con. DO NOT BOOK LEGERS READ REVIEWS.

Cold, tired, dated, food unimaginative, rope for a handrail to restaurant, no sorry, not a restaurant - an eating area! Enter via steps - not good for those with mobility problems. Staff tried their best! Saving grace was Rivoli Cafe directly opposite.

Basic but Very clean. My room on a solo tour was large with twin beds. Bathroom was large and powerful shower. Hairdryer attached to the wall. No kettle tea facility in bedrooms. Continental breakfast each morning (buffet). I’d forgotten my Italian plug socket so borrowed one for 10euro deposit. Plain food but tasty. Beds weren’t memory foam but I slept well. All in all it met my needs…..

Came on a coach as part of an organised tour hottest part of summer. I don't know what the deal was with the tour company (Leger) but the meals were substandard. The worst issue hotel wide was the inadequacy of the air conditioners. A very hot night and very little sleep. On the positive side the staff were very pleasant and tried to be helpful

Terrible no way four star I would say 1 star is pushing it. Came as part of a ledger tour on our way back from Rome. Air conditioning does not work in any of the rooms and in July with temperatures in the 30 c ‘s even at night it was unbearable. Beds are like camp beds with springs sticking out and as hard as an ironing board. One of our groups bed actually broke when he sat upon it. No balcony furniture so what’s the point. Shower is so tiny anyone taller than 5ft will struggle and even myself with a petite frame my elbow touched the sides.:Had to sleep with balcony door open all night just to get air flow and there is a lot of mosquitos but it was either that or suffocate. After complaining hotel staff brought us a fan with no front on and told us to sleep with window open. Food is terrible worst I’ve been served ever they served a grey soup that when I enquired what it was the waiter said vegetable and looked offended. Well I’ve never seen a grey vegetable in my life so make of that what you will. The restaurant is like a 1970’s canteen and serves prison food.I couldn’t wait to get out of there. It certainly is like faulty towers. if I could give it zero stars I would.
