Agriturismo Il Maggese in Cortona

We had a wonderful time at il Maggese. The grounds are beautiful, in a quiet location on the hills surrounded by vineyard and olive groves, the location is very convenient, the rooms are very comfy and the food was great. The service was outstanding. While at il Maggese we did lots of fun activities including tennis, a cooking class, truffle hunting, swimming, sun bathing, a bike tour, hiking, thermal baths, plus lots of wine tasting and visits to Tuscan towns and cities. There is plenty of parking and the rooms are spacious. We'll be back again soon!

First experience in this wonderful place, surrounded by nature, where you can often make unexpected encounters for a "citizen", hares, black squirrels, woodpeckers, and who knows how much else. The location, in addition to having a swimming pool, always kept in perfect order, has very large green spaces.
I cannot fail to mention the hostess, Flavia, always kind and helpful, assisted by the excellent chef Roberto superfine.
Speaking of provisioning, you have the opportunity to eat Km0 products lovingly cultivated by Flavia not to mention oil and Vin Santo .... It's a pity not to be able to give more than 5 stars.

We stayed at the Maggese for a weekend in June. The place is truly magical, surrounded by greenery, with a wonderful swimming pool. The houses (we stayed in the Diana apartment) are really beautiful, tastefully furnished, with artfully restored antiques and all possible comforts. Furthermore, Flavia, the owner, is truly a special person: kind, cheerful, always full of sweetness and attention for her guests. We had the (rich and tasty) breakfast in their room and, one evening, we enjoyed their "family dinner" in the garden, a well-kept and pleasant evening. The wines produced on the farm are also excellent (merlot and chardonnay). In short, we are already thinking about when to return.

Amazing experience. Me and my boyfriend stayed at Il Maggese for two nights and didn’t want to leave. The surroundings and garden was idyllic and the apartment was nicely renovated and tastefully decorated and well cleaned.

Flavia was a wonderful host, so caring and welcoming and she did everything to make sure that we enjoyed our time at Il Maggese. She even made us a great breakfast buffet even though we were her only guests for one night.
Would love to come back, truly recommend!

Lovely place and very special welcome. Flavia is an attentive and present hostess. The apartments are spacious, comfortable, full of history and personality. Nothing is really missing! Great for short stays but also for longer stays as the surroundings are all to be explored.
