N4U Guest House in Florence

Pro: Great location & neat rooms

Cons: If you don’t shower early enough, all the hot water will be gone. The ceiling was super low in our room, so that could be a challenge for someone over 5’10.

I just loved my stay! The proprietor is so genuine kind and responsive. Breakfast was very good.
A truly amazing stay.

We enjoyed our stay at N4U Guest House in Florence last week. Our bedroom was spacious, clean, and the bed was comfortable. However just a heads up that the room temp is a bit high even with it being set at 18(the lowest it'd go). N4U is also located in the heart of the Historic Center, so you are a 5-10 minute distance from everything, the Cathedral de Santa Maria de Fiore, Uffizi Gallery, Palazzo Vecchio, countless more museums and sorrounded by all types of restaurants at all price points. This place is for all travellers who don't mind skipping the elevator and walking up the stairs. Since the Guest House is located on the 4th floor (#3) and there isn't an elevator, prepare for quite a walk up the stairs. Breakfast is also included which we liked and there was a good variety of options to choose from. The staff is also very friendly, and welcoming, and even let us keep our baggage at N4U after check out for more sight seeing. The only thing we were a bit wierded out by was that we left our room early in the morning to go see Michaelango's David at the museum at 8am the day of check out and were back at the Guest House at 9:20 a.m. When we opened the front door to the Guest House we saw the hotel manager coming out of our room. He laughed and we were caught of guard, and then reminded us breakfast and check out was until 10. We laughed and didn't say anything but we found it weird he was peeking in or coming out of our room without an explanation.

Beautiful hotel, and excellent location. Wonderful breakfast. Our only complaints are the manager or owner seemed to be monitoring our every move. We felt very uncomfortable. Even for breakfast he was watching everything that you were serving Efficient but seemed to be in a bad mood, not a nice person. Definitely not a hotel for older people or people with disabilities. Not even with kids. Incredibly high stairs; when you arrive to your room, you are totally exhausted. The bathroom very new. Spacious.

The perfect little honeymoon spot! We stayed in the Suite and loved it so much we didn't want to leave! It's beautiful, cozy, and affordable, with impeccable cleaning staff, and no street noise at all (which is shocking, considering the amazing location in the center of all the hubbub).

And yeah, the few flights of stairs on the way up are intimidating, but trust me, you'll need them to work off all the delicious Italian food on every corner!!

What an amazing location, only a cpl of hundred metres from the main piazza.
Rooms are large and very comfortable.
Breakfast is included, and while reasonably simple, is very nice.
Perfect apartment for exploring Florence

Stayed here with my wife and two young children. The room was very clean and pleasant. The location was excellent. Rafael was attentive and helpful. No complains.

Fabulous old building in the middle of Florence The location is fantastic close to most major sights Greet rooms friendly owner breakfast just right Only down side are the stairs if you have trouble walking you may struggle But I enjoyed burns off all the pasta

Outstanding location and very pleasant room, but you have to climb the stairs to reach the 3rd floor.
