I was extremely impressed by this quaint B &B. The staff are friendly. The rooms are spotless. And while you will hear noise from (only) the late night pub across the road it does add to the location and vibe. Recommended. BTW ask for coffee in the morning instead of the instant. And the service will help you with any issues. Enjoy and stay in the older renovated rooms with the fresco. Wow.

More of a bed than a bed and breakfast. They do offer a proper breakfast for a fee, but you're much better off just walking the 30 yards into town.

Great location, a short walking distance from restaurants, bars and central sights. Quiet room, lovely internal courtyard, good facilities. The only downside was the unexpected requirement to complete pre-arrival check-in procedures using WhatsApp, which I did not have and had no wish to download or use. But there was no alternative to gain access and obtain the keys outside limited reception hours. This requirement should be made clear at the time of booking. For us (an older couple), it was an annoying and unwelcome surprise which (had we known about it) may well have deterred us from booking with you.

This place is a gem! Clean and spacious rooms. Biggest rooms I've seen in Europe. Clean bathroom, they even had a bath robe for me. Comfortable bed. The location is incredible, in historic downtown. So many great food options just 5-10 minute walk tops. Uffizi is a 5-10 minute walk. Duomo is literally 3 minute walk. I walked everywhere in my 4 night stay, even Piazzale Michaelangelo. They made check-in super easy even though the front desk was closed when I arrived, because they do not have a 24 hour front desk. So if you're a needy person expecting to be waited on go find a 5 star hotel. This is a traditional Florence experience that can not be beat in my opinion. And I can't say enough about how happy I was to find this B&B. Plus the house is beautiful. Oh and the AC works great. Will be my first choice next time I'm back in Florence. It's also only an hour train from Pisa.

We had an excellent stay at Casa Rovai, the staff were friendly and helpful, and stored our bags for us on our last day. Our room was beautiful and peaceful. They also had a sparkling water tap which was a big bonus for us!! The location is perfect, everything is very close by. Highly recommend. Thanks for a great stay.

Nice convenient guest house at a good rate. I liked that there was somewhere to get fresh drinking water in the lobby area. The only thing I didn't particularly like was that I had to walk through the lobby area to get to the external private bathroom for my room (note: I knew it would be external but not exactly where it was. I was grateful for the large bathrobe that was supplied!)

We had a wonderful stay at this B&B at the end of April. The room was spotless and thoughtfully decorated. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the communication before our arrival was excellent—they kindly supported us with travel options between Bologna and Florence. The neighborhood felt safe, and the location was very convenient. The self-service machine providing both still and sparkling water was a great convenience. Thanks to the kind lady who assisted us, we discovered some local restaurants in Florence. Overall, it was a pleasant and hassle-free experience—we would definitely recommend it.

We spend six nights at Casa Rovai during our stay in Florence. We enjoyed our stay a lot. The guest house is located very centrally. You can visit every attraction by foot. The room was big. The bed was very comfortable and the staff was very friendly. In front of the building there is a bus station if you need to go further away.
