Plus Florence - Hostel in Florence

​Excellent hostel located just 10 mins walk from train station.
​I stayed in a private room with friends in November and everything was great. The hostel has amazing common areas, including a game room, a sauna, and a vending machine area with electric hobs if you prefer to cook your own meals. The cleaning was great.
​Even though we visited in autumn, we could still enjoy the swimming pool because it is heated—definitely remember to bring your swimsuit! We also had dinner at the hostel bar; the food was good and it’s a very convenient option for the evening.
​However, there are a couple of things that could be improved:
​Check-in: It was quite slow; we had to wait about 40 minutes to get our room.
​Room details: Our room didn’t have enough power plugs. Also, the hairdryer was loose on the wall and unfortunately broke during use on the second day. Luckily, the staff was understanding and didn't charge us for it.
​A tip for future guests: To have power in the room, you need to leave the key card in the slot. This isn't an issue if you are in a private room, but it’s something to consider if you are staying in a shared dorm.
​Overall, a great stay. I would definitely recommend it!

The location is within walking distance from the train and bus station as well as from the historical centre. It felt safe even when walking around past midnight. I stayed for a week in a ensuite 6-bed mixed room. It was clean, big enough with comfortable beds, one shower with a sink and one toilet with a sink. Toiletries as well as a towel were provided. You can lend a hair dryer at a reception. There are no electricity plugs in the shower, toilet or room. Everyone has only one plug close to their head. At the reception they are used to the fact that people are drying their hair at night in a common room close to the reception.

The locker is large enough, with a hanger as well. There are no hangers on the walls. The air condition was working very well in July - it was even cold sometimes. I did not mind that there were no privacy curtains for each bed because I find it the dirtiest part of the room.

My roommates were also solo travellers staying for similar lengths of time so I almost didn't have any new roommates coming throughout the stay and I found it convenient - we enjoyed the chats in the room or on the terrace and could co-exist very well.

The rooftop terrace as well as the pool terrace are lovely. The pool was clean. The kitchen contains only a microwave and closes at 10 pm. After that time you have no access to your food in the fridge. They offered luggage storage after check-out for a small price and it was convenient. Wifi was working well. The elevators were slow but it wasn't a big problem as there were four of them.

First Hostel Plus truly feels like a box of pleasant surprises.
The location is excellent just minutes from the historic center, surrounded by museums, the university, restaurants, the hospital, and with easy access to public transport. Everything is convenient and stress-free.
From the moment you enter, you feel welcomed. The front desk team is attentive and professional, and the hospitality throughout the structure is thoughtful and well organized. The manager, Alessandra, brings elegance and warmth to the environment refined, educated, and clearly dedicated to excellent guest service.
The rooms are clean and well provided, and the common areas including the lounge, sauna, and pool create a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
The true heart of the place is the bar and restaurant area. Hedi is not simply a waiter he is a host in the fullest sense of the word. Full of energy and presence, he transforms the space from just a bar for aperitivo into a warm social center. After hours of travel, he has the rare ability to make guests feel immediately at ease. Attentive, intelligent, and genuinely kind, he goes above and beyond expectations. He explains the menu carefully, offers thoughtful service, and treats every guest with warmth and professionalism. A special thank you as well to Edgar, the handyman, who was incredibly helpful , Lara at the bar thank you for your excellent service, and the cleaning staff were also friendly and welcoming, always maintaining the spaces with care and attention.
Staff like this elevate the entire experience.

PLUS Florence hostel helped me a lot to enjoy my stay in the city :)

The location was easy to find, the room was clean and pretty, and the lifts were convenient and big enough to move the luggages upstairs. You can see the wide views of Florence, even the Duomo in the terrace at the top level.

Also, the staffs were super friendly and kind. Like Hedi, for instance, who worked at the bar and the restaurant there were most memorable, who proactively interacted with me; explaining me different dishes, having fun small talks... Speaking of bar, I could socialise with people from diverse background there, all the while enjoying the wine, and there were small different events held daily too!

Overall, I was really satisfied woth this hostel

Simple check-in and public facilitiesㅡ Kitchen. Laundry. Swimming pool and sauna was excellent for cost-effectiveness, and everything was fun and good. The location was great too~^^ But one Chinese roommate coughed all night, possibly due to a cold, so the rest of my roommates barely got any sleep. 😪

The beds in the room are not assigned, it was selected by first come first serve. In my opinion the stairs to the upper bunk bed is quite dangerous as there’s lesser things to hold on to with both hands and foot, have to pay more attention when going down

Had an amazing time staying here as a solo-traveller. They were very kind and accommodating to me with check-in. There was a small issue in the system, but was promptly solved efficiently.

Restaurant was always delicious during dinner, but the breakfast was a bit average.

Rooms are cleaned daily, and the free towels and toiletries were a very great addition to my stay.

Highly recommend for anyone as the location and services were stellar!

The room was very clean, the toilet was clean, it had a private shower, and the space was spacious.

The room setting is good with a private bathroom. It's close to Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze. So if you come to Florence for David, this could be your choice.

Great hostel had a really nice vibe to it and the rooms were spotless beds were comfy big luggage space too which is a bonus. The facilities were good the gym indoor pool sauna and steam room were great additions to my stay. The common room was okay was abit gutted they didn’t have a hob or an oven to cook food for the nights but overall was happy with my stay.
