The room was clean and comfortable. I stayed for multiple nights, and the cleaning was thorough, which was great.
The breakfast was also delicious.
There are very few amenities, so be prepared when staying here. The hair dryer provided has a weak wind pressure, so if you have long hair, you may want to bring your own. I managed to dry my hair using the provided hair dryer.
I arrived late due to a train strike, but reception was quick to respond.
The next morning's breakfast was also warm, so I felt comfortable all day. Good night 😊
During a period of severe wind and rain, the heater did not work. When I contacted reception, the night staff was unable to assist and stated he had no knowledge of the issue. It appeared the heater was intentionally disabled during the night, only operating briefly in the early morning.
On warmer nights, the air conditioning also failed, leaving the room poorly ventilated and uncomfortable.
and were spacious in comparison. The downfall of this stay was that the rooms are noisy and you can frequently hear movement in the hall or neighbouring guests’ rooms. The road noise is significant also. Breakfast daily was fresh and had a large range of quality produce and service staff at breakfast are kind and welcoming. It’s a great location to the trams and trains but is removed from the centre of the city for travel; more useful for a business trip than for holidays. About 20-25 minute walk to the central cafes, restaurants and tourist attractions.
