Sognando Firenze in Florence

My family and I stayed here for 5 nights. In one of our rooms, we found 2 cockroaches. They never replaced toilet paper or towels in our rooms. Also, my sister and mom and myself woke up with what looked to be bug bites. Lastly, at breakfast, the utensils/bowls always had old food on them, and I even found hair in my yogurt that wasn’t mine. The only decent thing about this hotel was the staff, they were very kind, and the view from our room. Definitely would not recommend.

If comfort is important to you, AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!
There is only one tiny AC for a whole room that barely works we sweat more in our room than we did on the street in the sun, they would not give us a second key to the room, nor would they help us call a taxi. Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service. HORRIBLE rooms. HORRIBLE experience. Period.

The toilet also broke, and would not flush. The room smelled like vinegar half the time. I cannot express how certain we are that we will never be back here. Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Our friend had a separate room upstairs, and her room was exactly the same temperature as outside
89 degrees!!!!

This is horrible.

We would not recommend this hotel to anyone! avoid the headache, there are plenty of nice hotels around. The hotel is a over price 2 stars hotel, not a rated 4-star hotel.
And Service staff is 0 star
We reluctantly stayed at this hotel, as we had no choice, unfortunately, I had booked this hotel through bookings.com late one night, so was not aware that I had booked the wrong month. I immediately realised it but it was too late, the condition of this booking was non-refundable. After many attempts via bookings and direct emailing to this hotel -they still refused to change the month, only if we pay double for the room. Finally, for an extra $100 euros, they give us a smaller inferior double room instead, with a sofa bed for our child. (soooo mean! )
The hotel and service were very disappointing, our room, hallway carpet, lobby was very old, tired, and worn. at check-in, the room was only made up for two people, nothing for the child, not even a bottle water!
the shower was falling apart, drainage did not flow, and walls falling apart.
We were overcharged on service tax, requested a refund -ignored -doesn't even acknowledge our email or calls. Not surprising since many have had similar experiences (here on google)when they try to request a refund. it seems once they take your money, don't expect to see it again. No matter what your reason is, they don't care!
