Excellent location. The manager was very welcoming, pleasant, and available. Hotel room: Extremely old furniture. Cleanliness leaves much to be desired, bordering on unsanitary. Bathroom: Horribly dirty shower. Moldy shower grout. Breakfast: Croissant, rusk, and orange juice. Nothing special. The hotel is difficult to find; there's only a small sign on the door to guide you. The entrance is unsanitary and smells bad. A very mediocre hotel.

Very authentic humble, Venetian hotel. Alessandro and everyone at the hotel was so accommodating. Alessandro even arranged water taxis for our big family group of 15 to go straight to the airport, which saved us hours compared to hauling our luggages back to the water shuttle and taking a bus. Location is hard to find but close to everything you would want to see in Venice.

Having traveled abroad many times, I understand that not all hotels have lifts. However, 78 steps to our room was a bit much. The breakfast is terrible. Coffee, juice, day old croissants and hard cold toast. The shower will either burn or freeze you! Very little water pressure. Towels are old and tired.

On the trace of George Sand this lovely bed and breakfast shines remaining authentically Venetian, no lift, vintage furniture, friendly and helpful staff in a hidden corner, 30 seconds away from the action - very good value for your money. The entrance of the palace is often used for art exhibitions by Venezia viva who do organize those events and much more for 50 years by now, so you can meet fantastic people

never ever again!!!! have to pay extra charge for late check in because I arrive to the hotel at 10:30 pm. no shampoo and no soap. All the photo on internet are fake.

Decent B&B place to stay in Venice. Just 5 minutes by walk to the main city Square. The apartments are 2 or 3 storeys above and there is no lift ofcourse. Make sure to check beforehand because breakfast is not included with some of the apartments where a kitchen is provided. The breakfast too is minimalistic with croissants, breads, butter and jam with mocha coffee. The place can be tricky to find so the guy usually asks you to come near the Opera and he picks you up from there.

Good price, the owner Alessandro was very helpful and good at communicating with us. The room is big and old fashioned, like most things in Venice, it's the feel of the place. Our room looked like an old library, and in the mornings you could hear the gondolas and the singers passing by singing popular Italian songs. That part was lovely. However a few things to note. The room could use a little bit more cleaning, the bathroom was very very small and showering was a bit of a struggle as, it took us a while to figure out how to not get either burned by the water being too hot or frozen because of it being too cold, a bit of extremes. The offered breakfast included in the price consisted in some milk, butter left in the fridge and croissants left in a plastic bag by our door every morning. These things although not so bad could be improved. The main let down for us was the air con, it just was not working. We left it on to come back to a nice and cool hotel room, but the temperature inside was just as hot as the outside, and Venice in the summer is really hot and humid. Overall a good enough experience with few disappointments.

Location is unbeatable for price!! 5 minutes from st marks. 10 min walk to Rialto! Historic building with two flights of old steep stairs to get to the reception area which is also the floor our room was on. The hotel itself was a bit difficult to find. The sign is a small plaque on the door that you may or may not see at first glance. And Google maps isn't much help. (Google Maps sent us to the exact opposite side of the building entrance.. As if we were entering by boat on the canal.) The room itself was a bit deceiving.. As the picture posted on site of the exact room we stayed in was well furnished and looked fresh..in reality it was drab and tired. The staff were very nice and helpful with local tips and attractions. They even provided us with a map. Our air conditioner went out on our last night.. and because it is a BandB there is not 24 hour desk help. We were out of luck! Breakfast is a few packets of toast, a croisant, and some jam. Orange juice, tea or coffee. But the staff were also very accomodating to my love for cold coffee. Overall, my husband and I were very happy with our stay. Having the huge beautiful windows in our rooms wide open. Getting ready for our day and being right by the canal, hearing the men singing on the gondolas that pass by. Its a feeling and a moment I will never forgot. My dreams of going to Venice were fulfilled and I feel as if we got a more authentic stay by choosing Palazzo Minelli. Xx

The lady was very nice at this place but that was about it. Having stayed in 100s of Hotels, B&Bs & hostels I've never been bitten so much which one can only assume was bed bugs, the shower didnt work unless resetting the boiler, breakfast was crossiant hanging on the door and some jam in the fridge.

Honestly, from the moment we arrived, we were disappointed at the place, even though you can see that most places are really old. Breakfast is extremely poor compared to similar prices paid in Rome, Siena and Florence. The only positives are the service of the only person arranging rooms ,a Lady, very good and helpful and the location close to San Marco. I don't think I would come back to this hotel. In the pictures it looks much better than what it actually is. The only way to contact them is by phone, the ring at the door probably doesn't even work, never answered.

This hotel had such great reviews. I was really looking forward to my stay. The location was great. Very nice area and the ac worked well. However the wifi is horrible, and the rooms are so small.

Very nice for me in this hotel that was a great value for money. I booked directly on their website a single room but got a double spacious one at check-in (with a double bed, a couch and a bathroom with bathtub!) for a very good price incl breakfast. Hotel is very quiet, WiFi works great (videocalls for work) and AC does a good job.

Absolutely the perfect place where to stay if visiting Venice!

The hotel is very well located: right next to the "Vaporetto" boat stop, which allows you to easily move around Venice and reach various locations but also next to a lot of shops, restaurants and cultural places, and the main local attractions are easily reachable by a short walk.

The hotel itself is in a very nice, quiet neighborhood, but what makes this place special is definitely the rooftop: it offers the possibility to relax on comfortable couches while enjoying an amazing view of Venice, especially if in the evening, at sunset time, it is very beautiful!

The staff was professional and kind and available to help at any moment of the day.

The only little issue was the shower in the room, which was very small and not so convenient to use.

Apart from this little issue everything was absolutely amazing, and would totally recommend to anyone who wants to have a good time in a beautiful city such as Venice!

Great location close to San Marco square and steps from a vaporetto stop. Good breakfast and cordial staff. The room had everything we needed, including mosquito-repellent wipes which were much appreciated.

Very nice hotel with a great location. The staff is very polite, the rooms are clean and, at least the one I chose (Deluxe Double Room), of good size. Very clean bathroom with tons of towels (p.s.: I've never seen towels that dry you up so fast as the ones they have 😅).
Good breakfast and the hotel also has a very nice terrace. Too bad it's only opened between 10.00 AM-10.00 PM. I think people use it either when drinking their coffee in the morning (so before 10AM), if they want some privacy, either after getting back to the hotel, at night (so after 21.30-10 PM). But I guess I can understand it (so that the other customers don't get bothered). So we only got to use it once in the 2 nights stay.
I highly recommend it!
