Fantastic location, super close to St Mark’s Square. They provided good recommendations and even had their own app for guests to navigate around
Overall it was very good! Location It was a short walk from St. Mark's Square and on a street with many brands, so the security was good. However, it took quite a while to get there by water bus from Santa Lucia Station
It was very comfortable as it was within walking distance to the tourist attractions. Service This may have been the best hotel I've stayed at
Wonderful friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good.
Excelent service @ reception, good room, good breakfast...and very friendly&helpfull employers
Snacks, such as chocolate and cookies, were also provided daily in the room which was a really lovely touch

Excellent value for money! The hotel is centrally located on a lovely piazza, just 7 minutes from the Rialto Bridge and Piazza San Marco. Very friendly staff and an excellent breakfast! A highly recommended hotel!
The room is very clean and tidy, the front desk is open 24 hours a day, the staff are very enthusiastic, the price is very good in Venice Island, and it is also close to various attractions.
Excellent location and excellent staff , very helpful- loved our trip thanks
18th century hotel, excellent, right on Ste Maria Formosa Square, a short walk from St Marks (two bridges away).
However, the location was excellent, situated on the main island, making transportation very convenient. The breakfast was okay, though the selection was limited. The hygiene was decent, and the decor was quite unique
The room was in the attic with a large, comfortable terrace, but there was no elevator to the top floor; only stairs, so luggage had to be carried by hand. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

While the rooms are a little dated and small, this is to be expected in Venice! However, the rooms had excellent facilities, were clean, well kept, and very comfortable! Breakfast is also very much recommended, they have an excellent continental spread, with fresh coffee on demand!
For Venice, it's pretty good value for money.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Good selection of food at breakfast. My only negative is that nowhere online is there mention of the Air Conditioning being turned off from October
Yet you feel far enough away from touristy spots that you get a break from the busyness. Fantastic and friendly service, especially from the front desk staff. Also appreciated the breakfast and coffee to start the day
The hotel was  centrally located, and can’t say enough about the staff who were friendly and very helpful with directions, maps, and suggestions
Good selection of food and drinks. We loved Venice! It’s a charming city and the people are helpful

Great hotel! Great location, and the room was very clean and orderly. I would highly recommend using the hotel for transportation assistance if you’re flying out of Venice
The only conclusion I could come to was she didnt like English people as she was completely different with the Italian customers
Stayed at Rosa Salva hotel in Venice which was beautiful. The room is very spacious and warm
The staff are very friendly and helpful as well, helping us to safekeep our luggages after check out and also giving us directions. Had such a great time in Venice and at this hotel with my husband
The bakery attached to the hotel offers delicious pastries, sandwiches and hot beverages. Walking distance to Piazza San Marco and main roads for shopping, restaurants and cafes
I am sad I forgot to ask his name but the gentleman at the reception was absolutely amazing! So nice and kind and helped us with everything we needed and ask

Good location to move main island, good place to see sunset and sunrise without crowded
Really nice location. Less crowded and near of everything ❤️
The room was clean and spacious. Very powerful and hot! Food was excellent. Quiet, peaceful, friendly island. It is away from all the tourists but close enough to get there if you want
We opened up our windows and listened to the water and just a few boats going by all night. Good continental breakfast and the front desk team are very helpful
Staff members are also generally friendly. Simple but sufficient free breakfast daily too. There are 2 ferry service lines to San Macro, so that's pretty accessible!
It’s not far from the public water taxi station and a short walk to the airport water taxi station at the Hilton. Because it is on Giudecca island it is quiet at night and restful

The hotel has very good location, you can easily walk everywhere. There is no complimentary water or tea/coffee in the room, but you can order it in the bar downstairs. The breakfast is quite good, so is the service
Everything was great; I have only good memories!
Everything good except that the Hotel consists of various buildings connected to each other and to reach the room 619 was problematic since we had to climb 3 flights of stairs for about 50 steps and then after a long corridor go down another flight of about 20 steps
The finishes are good and the furniture is elegant, but the layout is such that it was impossible to install elevators. Obviously it is good for young people, but not suitable for seniors like us
Hotel is pretty good. Although it is old hotel, the service is good. They only thing is the ground floor rooms are very smelly. .
Very close to the center near rialto 4min only by foot.I was impressed how clean and hot where the rooms! The stuff of the hotel was very kind!!

A very friendly and pleasant hotel! I'd come back again
Excellent service. Good location. Excellent breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel. Boat bus nearby. Terrace on the canal to have a good dinner.
We have been going to La Calcina for years and have enjoyed each stay. The property has excellent location with fantastic views of the Guidecca canal
The best location and nice breakfast, the staff very friendly and good service. Thanks for nice holiday.
Best little gem in Venice, great views, friendly! We absolutely loved this little gem, just off the beaten path in Venice but still on a canal with spectacular views
La Calcina hotel was perfect for our needs. Quiet, boutiquey hotel away from the bustling area of San Marco, but very conveniently located! Easy walking to all the sights and restaurants. Waterbus station right there

Plus, the breakfast was really good, and the flavors were fantastic
An absolute gem of a hotel in beautiful Venice, the staff are exceptional and the rooms very comfortable. A good breakfast is on offer as well. I heartily recommend this hotel
Good location, beautiful, big room, clean, peaceful, nice service
Although the room was small, it was very clean. The hotel's location is excellent, just behind St. The area around it is lively, which made me feel much safer
Good location and a perk is that the hotel has a small water taxi pier. The rooms are very spacious, however they are very dusty and old. There was even a cockroach in one of our rooms!
The staff very helpful, the location is great

The room is OK, a little small, good location, the interior is a bit old, very close to the waterfront and St. Mark's Square, shopping is quite good, I hope the store can improve the cleanliness of the room
The hotel is truly fantastic, ideally located just 5 minutes from St. We were pleasantly surprised to find a room that was more spacious than the photos, with two single beds and a sofa bed
One small drawback: the windows overlook an alleyway where a restaurant plays music until 11 p. Even with the windows closed, the noise is still noticeable. The staff is welcoming and helpful
Hotel very well located, with a very welcoming staff and caring for its guests. We had a very good stay. I recommend this place.
The living, breathing wallpaper that has survived the test of time has become a comfortable shelter
Very much memorable to have a breakfast service experience by a older lady with an elegant demeanor and service attitude and nice coffee

All the employees were kind and helpful. The location, close to the vaporetto and the Accademia bridge, was very convenient and quiet. Our room was very clean and comfortable
Charming hotel. The owner and staff went above and beyond to help us with information. Ideal location away from the crowds but close enough to all the sites. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Hidden gem Wonderful greeting. Wonderful staff. Charming tiny old lift. Clean room. Great view. Great breakfast provided with a full service restaurant to dine later.
Lovely views of the courtyard in back, and the street in front is quiet. Excellent breakfast (but beware of mosquitoes if eating outside). Very comfortable rooms, and staff was friendly and helpful
Charming small hotel just steps from the Accademia bridge and vaporetto stop. There was a problem with our room AC when we arrived, and they immediately fixed it
Would stay there again. Hotel went out of their way to help with all travel arrangements. Terrace suite was comfortable and spacious.

The hotel is a 15-minute walk from St. Mark's Square or the train/bus station. We were given a room in an adjacent building, just 5 meters from the hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet
The beds were comfortable, hotel was conveniently near the water bus, and lots to do within walking distance. We like the historic feel od the rooms, and staff was very helpful.
Very good experience. Close to water shuttle drop off point and nice quiet and walkable area. Staff were friendly and helpful would recommend.
Breakfast in the courtyard was a highlight each morning—fresh, varied, and set in such a peaceful atmosphere. It truly felt like a hidden gem, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience
The location is excellent and very convenient. It is just 5o meters from San Stae stop which makes it easy to get to from the train and bus stops. I would highly recommend this place and would stay here again
Loved the property, friendly and helpful staff. One minute walk to vaporetto (stan stae stop), great restaurants within walking distance. Would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again

Excellent hotel, everything is clean, quiet, lots of restaurants nearby, I will definitely come back!
A charming lounge to enjoy coffee when you get up earlier than everyone else… and the breakfast, dear hoteliers, please do highlight it more on your website because we thoroughly enjoyed it every day; there truly is something for everyone, it's a very, very nice buffet
The location is perfect, very close to the vaporetti (water buses), excellent restaurants, less than 100 meters away to find a very good restaurant, and we tried a different one every night! There's also a bar nearby… I'm surely forgetting some things… Honestly, if we come back, it will be here and nowhere else! Grazie Mille ❤️❤️❤️
Centrally located and close to Piazza San Marco 10 minutes walk, 24H concierge, very welcoming and collaborative, we did not choose breakfast and therefore I cannot express an opinion, overall good+
The pictures didn't show it at all! I came for the murals, but I didn't see anything on the top floor. I negotiated with the Venetian owner, and they said I could only stay on the top floor for an extra 30 euros
Everything was perfect! A magnificent establishment! A warm and very professional welcome, smiling and attentive staff… you are perfect down to the smallest detail! A very nice room, espresso machine, kettle, daily refills of coffee pods, and a bathroom with more than enough amenities! Comfortable bedding, a small duvet is available for an extra charge, but the hotel is very well heated

The hotel is well located within easy walking distance of the San Marco square and the Rialto bridge. We were in a family suite which gave us two bedrooms, perfect for families
We had a nice and quiet stay at this hotel. The location was wonderful and the bed was comfortable. The front desk staff is very kind and helpful
We stayed in a 2 bedroom 1 bath quad with our college kids and it was perfect. Great location and amenities for inner Venice. The WiFi was excellent and secured unlike other places in Italy
The staff was lovely in every area from the front desk to housekeeping. Also it’s a few doors from a laundromat which is excellent for us since we travel with carry on only
The breakfast was a great experience and our host was excellent. A very personal experience compared to what we're used to in North America
Location was far from nearest train station (30 minutes walk) and not many good amenities.

The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was a good size, even though it was separated from the main room
Apart of it everything else was good, loved the breakfast. They also have some day trip arrangements to Murano and Burano, and the location of the hotel is absolutely perfect
Friendly staff. Rooms must have been renovated. Like new, well designed; the shower room is tiny though. Good location. Surprisingly excellent find! Recommended.
Staff were lovely and made a real effort with our toddler daughter. The hotel itself is in a very convenient location but also tucked away so not too noisy in the evenings. The breakfast was great with lots of choice
There’s no lift, and the rooms still use traditional physical keys, but we didn’t mind at all—in fact, it added to the charm and gave us that classic Italian feel we were hoping for. Overall, a lovely experience
The location was perfect! And the staff was very friendly and helped us with transportation. There is no elevator in the property so I would recommend travelling light.

Fantastic location, within walking distance of the major sites. We had a canal room and it was stunning. To listen to boats pass by and see people walking over the little bridge was totally perfect
Room was huge , kept very clean every day. Breakfast was basic but plentiful overlooking the canal. All the staff were friendly, especially the gentleman at breakfast. We would stay again in a heartbeat 100% recommend
My husband and I stayed for 4 nights and we loved every moment. Originally we booked for the pandemic but obviously it was cancelled. We were so glad we stayed with the hotel we had first chosen
Good choice of cakes, pastries, & toast, yoghurt & fresh fruit, fruit juice & coffee for breakfast, enough to keep you going for a few hours
Charming little hotel in such a great location. Every member of staff were always super helpful and cheerful. Breakfast was just right so set you up for a day walking and exploring

I've stayed in Venice quite a few times and this is definitely one of the best hotels I've stayed in. The area is lovely where visitors mix with locals and enjoy very good food
We had a 2 night stay here and it was perfect. The room was big as there were 3 of us. It also had wheelchair user facilities and front of house Mustafa was the best host ever
The hotel has been refurbished and the rooms are comfortable and welcoming. The breakfast buffet is excellent, considering it's size, and the ladies who look after it are welcoming
Nice hotel, excellent location just steps from Piazza San Marco, good breakfast, from sweet to savory, all the staff were kind and courteous

I felt so lucky when I got this hotel. The hotel has a historical story, which is located in the center of Venice. Its service is good and welcoming. It's too convenient for enjoying the breathtaking scenery around there
If you want to have a good night of sleep, don't book this place. Before 7 am, you will start hearing all the existing noises
The hallways are long and go round and round like a rabbits Warren. My overall stay was pleasant and the best thing about it was the awesome breakfast
It was good except they put us on 4th floor. No elevator
Wanderfull location, definitely one of the best in Venice! For the rest it's a pretty old hotel (like all these kind of hotels in Venice), but pretty clean. Breakfast also was very good. Overall recommended.
It's impossible to sleep with all the conversations, closing windows, cleaning noises, and sounds from people loading and unloading goods from the restaurants nearby

Staff may I mention Joanne.excellent very helpful and friendly brilliant to give advice on best ways to reach hotel from Marco Polo Aiport. Hotel very opulent and authentic Venice
Marco was very helpful and welcoming! He offered me a glass of prosecco or glass of juice (My choice) he make sure the last night of my stay I had transportation to the airport in the morning! The room was very pretty and accommodating! I love free breakfast everyday of my stay! Overall very happy and promising to go back!
Stayed there over 10 years ago and would continue to go back. My only disappointment was the mattresses are very firm for this old man. Still if we ever make it back to Venice, it will be at the Hotel Becher
The breakfast room was quite small, but it did make for good conversation with other diners. The staff was top notch and helped with your every need and spoke very good English
The location was in the middle of everything, restaurants and shopping everywhere, 5-10 minutes walk to everything. Breakfast was plentiful and you got as many made-to-order coffees as you could drink, which was nice
At night though boats came and went pretty late and people were yelling and singing so it was a little loud. Once I got to sleep though it quieted down and I slept well

Excellent location, all major attractions are around the corner. Clean and uniquely decorated room
Felt safe the whole visit to Venice. Iron and ironing board in the room with bottles of water available in the fridge. Will be recommending this hotel to anyone who would like to stay central to St
The rooms are traditionally decorated and quite basic, but lovely and clean (with comfortable bed!) Breakfast was basic continental but there was a selection of fruit, yoghurt, breads and cereals
