Best Hotels in Venice

Booked this Hotel for a weekend trip in Venice. Chose the location as it is not in the busy tourist area but it is nicely situated in a  quiet area of Venice, Cannaregio. Lots of good restaurants and wine bars around

   We  got a room change (208) for the second night to the second floor which was excellent.   We recommend rooms on the 2nd floor over the 1st

The location was great for us - away from the hustle & bustle and easily accessed via water taxi from airport direct to the hotel door. Check out the nearby Oficina Ormesini for cicchetti and aperitivi - fantastic

However, there are mosquitoes outdoors due to the dense greenery. It takes 20-30 minutes to walk to Piazza San Marco, but passing the main street, there are shops on both sides, so it is not monotonous

 Our allocated  Premium room (124 first floor) wasn’t that great though, we got a lot of noise from the restaurant and Lobby area and it also just looks agains a wall when you look out of the window

The hotel is very upscale, the rooms are spacious, and there is a large garden leading to the back door directly to the lagoon. Breakfast and dinner can be served outdoors or indoors

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at- we loved it and can’t wait to return to the Londra Palace!

I even had our clothes washed and they were ironed to perfection the next day! Chocolates on our pillows a glass dome with little treats in our room! We will always come back to Londra Palace and the Relais and Chateau’s hotel designation

Great hotel with superb views over the lagoon. Close to San Marco. Good restaurant and great service.

This was an impeccable place and we loved every moment. We many times just came back to dinner in the bar. There was attention to every detail and they had the key out practically before we walked in the door

We really enjoyed the excellent service…From the front desk staff who arranged our water taxis for us to the servers at breakfast who remembered our coffee orders daily. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

I expected great service from a 5 star hotel. The front desk employees needs better training on hospitality. The hotel manager did his best to resolve any issues we had.

Don't order an Americano (why waste good coffee beans?). Their made to order omelettes and avocado toast were also great. We loved the Deluxe room, with plenty of space and a gorgeous balcony

Fantastic location in a quieter neighborhood but still walkable to the main attractions. Beautiful views and wonderful attentive service. The BEST in Venice

An excellent little hotel on a quiet street in a great location

It turned out to be the perfect location, quiet enough to not disturb sleep but central enough to get everywhere within easy walking distance, and only 6min walk to the ferry service to and from airport & Valporetta boat to Murano/Burano

Breakfast was a delightful experience, again the staff were conscientious and obliging, boiling the perfect boiled egg for our companion. The hotel is grandiose but inviting. We will definitely return next October 🌠

Didn’t get round to using the swimming pool but it looked lovely. The staff could not have done more for us and were super helpful. Obviously, there’s no canal view but honestly, it didn’t bother me in the end

Overwhelmed by the amount of choice of hotels and apartments in Venice, I procrastinated and left it super late to book our accommodation. I kept looking at this hotel but wasn’t sure about the location

Worthy of the Indigo name I would say. very kind staff and good vibes in the hotel, location is a bit of an issue for most but its really just a 20min walk from st marco's square and this is not an issue if you are young

Nice hotel & Breakfast was really good

The hotel was spotlessly clean, well air conditioned, and peaceful. The staff were all excellent and happily helped us with local recommendations. They kept our bags for us when we needed it, which was a huge help

Breakfast is very decent and has lots of choices, premium seats, good vibes, in warmer months can eat outside too. Quiet location with very little noise

Absolutely wonderful hotel and a lovely experience! We stayed for a few nights and they upgraded us to a junior suite for free! The room was quiet and spacious with a very comfortable bed

I highly recommend this hotel for travelers looking for a lovely place to rest after a long day, but who still want to be within walking distance of the Arsenal and the heart of Venice

The hotel room was beautifully furnished, quiet, and even allowed a partial view of the canal. Breakfast is one of the best I've had in either North America or Europe. Would like to stay here again soon

The breakfast was excellent with plenty of options of food and drinks. I don't think the hotel is suitable for elderly or disabled people because there are several stairs within the hallways of the building

We needed a place to stay last minute after having issues with our booked apartment, so we went around Venice looking for hotels in person and this one was by far the best we found! The price was similar to other places we checked, but the quality was much better

Very well located, a walkable distance from the train station. The staff was polite, very friendly and helpful. The room was good, with comfy mattress, good heating system and soundproof walls

The service was good, the continental breakfast was great (fresh fruit/bread), the room was good, and the towels were nice. I liked the feeling of being in a centuries-old building and atmosphere

The pros : location, cleanliness, breakfast quite good The cons : no amenities, not even a small fridge in the room, the hairdryer works for some minutes only.

Hmm room is clean, location is great. But you will need to pay for water and you need to pay for them to deliver to your room 😅 better get your own water ready.

Very friendly staff, amazing location near the Venice island train station. Many local restaurants nearby and an excellent breakfast selection.

However, it is not recommended for travelers with suitcases to walk, although the original picture has a good view. You can go out from the train station and take the bus line 5

An absolutely amazing hotel! The food was fantastic. We had a minor issue where the safe locked up for about half an hour, but the hotel apologized and even offered a complimentary yacht tour around Venice

Hotel Nani Mocenigo Palace is truly the gem of Venice! From it's location along the canal to it's exquisite decor this place is amazing! Despite being located on the Grand Canal, it's not noisy at all! Very spacious and clean rooms with complimentary water and coffee! It has a terrace with unbeatable views of the Grand Canal, where you can have a drink or a meal! Breakfasts are quite comprehensive, and there's also a menu to choose from

It was easily accessible and had easy access to famous tourist spots. There were Japanese staff there, which made check-in smooth. The water bus stop is also nearby. The room was compact, but very clean and nice

Perfection Perfect stay! It was a brief overnight between cities, but wonderful. From the service to the accommodations to the delicious breakfast. everything was over and above, and beyond expectations

it's not on the waterfront, but if you walk out the back of the hotel you are right at the St. Regis which has a lovely waterfront patio perfect for apertivio

Excellent hotel and superb staffs!

Check in was easy and we made reservations for the rooftop bar for the evening, which was a beautiful spot and very private! (Attached some photos of the canal from up there. ) We would absolutely stay here again!

Breakfast was really good, lots of options and very tasty. The only thing is that after about 9 they don’t replenish the pastries or cold cuts/cheese so we missed out on some bits

All the staff were friendly and helpful. From the first email to checkout. Helped arrange the water taxi from the port to the hotel dock. Located on the Grand Canal so accessible to all the Venice sights

one day we walked all the way to Basilica Santa Maria della Salute which was about 3 kms from the hotel. the hotel is about 1 kms from some good restaurants which serve excellent Pizzas

Many accommodations in the city center were low rated, overpriced, and some didn’t seem to exist. This was by far the best priced for a place of quality

i had forgotten my razor and my adaptor had broken previous night and the hotel provided both the things. we had not taken breakfast so can not comment on that. the hotel is about 1 kms from Santa Maria train station

Can be reached by water taxi from the airport. A bit far from San Marco, but that's the advantage bc less noise. Hotel is clean by the canal with nice view in the morning. Staff is helpful and friendly

Best hotel I've ever stayed in

Everything in the refrigerator is free, all kinds of snacks are free, and breakfast is free. The room is large and every little item is worth savoring. Every hotel waiter is treated with the most beautiful smile

The basic room type I booked was special for the 10th anniversary. When I arrived, I said I wanted to upgrade, but it turned out that I upgraded at my own expense

The rooms that cost money are of course better, but the basics are not cheap anymore, and this anniversary was quite luxurious

The only reason(s) for the 4 star instead of 5 were unstable (cycling from warm to very hot for the duration of the shower) water temperatures in the shower and an overall lack of storage for clothing/luggage

Everything else from there was equally spectacular including the room (we were graciously upgraded to a Deluxe room with a serene private terrace on the second floor), the amazing breakfasts, the helpful tips for restaurant reservations, and the amazing hotel-arranged private gondola ride direct from the hotel’s Grand Canal dock…what an unforgettable experience

From the exquisitely elegant Philippe Starck decor to the amazing food, central location and fantastic staff, it all made for a wonderful experience and one we hope to replicate in June of 2026 as we have booked a return trip to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary here

Falling in Love with Venice at the Palazzina Grassi. This review is long overdue for our amazing holiday at this beautiful hotel on the iconic Grand Canal back in late April 2025. Our stay got off to a spectacular start

Unlike a usual hotel where one goes to check-in at the front desk, we were asked to relax in the bar’s restaurant while our bags were whisked away and the check-in was completed by the helpful staff

They were amazing and my wife will now only have the spritz if it’s made the way Michel made it. And that was just the beginning of our four night stay…the amuse-bouche so to speak

The location is marvelous, the rooms splendid, and the atmosphere wonderful. I will definitely go back a fourth and fifth time

However, the breakfast was equally impressive, with a wide variety of delicious options! It's worth noting that restaurants in Venice's tourist areas, even those at Aman Resorts, are often mediocre, but this hotel's breakfast was exceptional – truly remarkable! This is without doubt the best hotel I have ever been at. This was my third stay at Palazzo Venart and the quality of the staff and management is OUTSTANDING

The hotel repeatedly apologized and provided a fan – a rather comical detail considering it was November – but I had no choice but to sleep with the window open that night

The room is bigger than the picture shows. You can open a 26-inch and 20-inch suitcase. There are few breakfast options but the fried eggs are delicious. The hotel is conveniently located. Overall, it is very good.

Location is good as is just a few minutes walk across the bridge . You can ask for “porter” service to bring your heavy luggages across the bridge :)

The key point is that the restaurant has a water purifier, and you can drink unlimited water freely. The experience is very good, close to the water bus ship
