The reception was great; they helped with my luggage, and the breakfast was plentiful. The building is a bit old, but that's typical for that area. It's not too remote, so overall it's good.

The room is very spacious with clean toilets and bathroom, there are Shampoo and body washing separated and some to spare (since we ordered an extra bed in a double room) We are also very surprised about the extra bed because it is not an ordinary expandable sofa bed, but a normal bed

You have to climb quite some steps to reach the room (ard one floor of stairs? Not recommend if you have a lot of luggages) however the staff ran out and helped us to move most of the luggage's to our room

It's quiet, tucked away from the main street crowds, so we got a really good night's sleep. The room was spacious, with a wardrobe that easily fit two suitcases, and it even came with its own little garden balcony

We've been there over new years eve and we have been welcomed with a free bottle of wine! The breakfast was good and rich but there are unfortunately not enough tables so we had to wait two times for more than 15 minutes our rooms for a free table, which shouldn't be happening in a 3 Star Hotel in Venice

Everything was great… a little bit of a walk from the water taxie.. Needed to order a private boat for 180 euros..

Nice location between San Marco and Rialto. No lift at the hotel for the luggage. We were in annex building alongside a canal, nice view. Good service and normal breakfast.

We visited Venice for Christmas and stayed here in an annex apartment. It’s a 5 minute walk from Rialto bridge and St Mark’s Square

The room itself was as you may expect in Venice, on the smaller side but it was a perfect location to explore from, just be warned if you book the (cheaper) anex room it is up 3 flights of stairs and the final set you may have to duck/crouch up and down them

This hotel is now part of Hotel Bella Venezia. Our place consisted of an apartment overlooking Campo San Luca and was amazing. Very specious apartment with lots of amenities. Amazing value for the price of a room

Service and staff from Bella Venezia was very helpful and accommodating. We were able to leave our luggage after check-out and use the hotel facilities before it was time to leave Venice

This was my second stay, first was 2 years ago. Great eating options near by. The ferry to the airport is short walking distance. Front desk of check in location were bilingual and very courteous.

As for the down sides: i would say the temperature of the water was impossible to regulate (or it would be cold or really hot), also in the morning period it was a bit loud (with breakfast preparation and movement) so after 8 it was relly difficult to rest

Superb Enjoyed our time in Venice, breakfast was superb, hot and cold dishes to choose from, we had bacon and eggs, fruit salad with yoghurt, even traditional cakes to eat, plus the lovely hot cappuccino, rooms were lovely with a comfortable queen size bed, nice big shower area too, highly recommended

A constructive criticism, the issue of changing towels: we left the shower ones hanging up well so that they wouldn't change them and not waste water but they still did it 😔 they could leave information on how to leave the ones that need to be changed and the ones that don't

We had a wonderful stay at Al Codega! We loved the staff, room, breakfast, and location. I would definitely stay there again.

The breakfast was excellent! We’re vegans, and the staff made sure we were well-fed with vegan falafels and vegan grilled cheese sandwiches. They even made us cappuccinos with almond milk! I wish more hotels did that

We booked a twin or double room, and it was decided when we saw the room on the day. We slept in a double bed. It felt like a business hotel overseas. It was neither good nor bad.

The localisation is very good : 5min from St Marc Place. The personnel is very kind. But no view from the windows, a very small TV, very small bathroom and very smal shower. The breakfast included is a good asset 👍

Gentleman at the front desk was very enthusiastic and friendly. Rooms are definitely dated, bed was uncomfortable and bathrooms (single room) were very tiny, I could barely move after I got out the shower

All hotels in Venice are expensive and the Bucintoro seems to be one of the most expensive of them all, which we would never consider for a normal city break, but for an extra special occasion, the convenience of its location, and the views from the high quality furnished rooms, do somewhat outweigh the hefty room rates, for what was, otherwise, for us, just a typical hotel experience

We had an outstanding stay at Hotel Bucintoro. The location is simply perfect – right on the waterfront with breathtaking views over the lagoon and Venice’s skyline

Mark’s Square are generally either too lazy or too time constrained to walk as far as the Bucintoro, so you have no problem finding a table in one of the several restaurants and pizzerias just around the corner from the Bucintoro for your lunch or evening meal, plus there is little noise late at night, other than occasional noisy boats passing

Even better, you can get the Alilaguna waterbus (or a high speed water taxi) direct from the airport to drop you off at Arsenale waterbus stop, just a few yards from the hotel, saving you long walks and dragging heavy luggage up and down the steps of multifarious bridges if you stay elsewhere in Venice

And on our final morning, the shower lever-tap decided to not turn off the water properly! In conclusion, the exceptional reviews from last year, prior to the refurbishment, raised our expectations to a very high level, which for us, unfortunately, didn't materialise
