Miyazu, 905 Nakano 🧭 Map
Wonderful hostel! The girl on the reception is most helpful and friendly. It is 7-10 minutes from the bus stop, partially uphill, but the breathtaking view from terrace is worth it. Dinner and breakfast is substantial and tasty, free tea and coffee all day long. In the bathroom they have a small but nice sento!
I highly recommend it!
I stayed in a male dorm, 4 beds in a room. It's a little far from bus stop. The facility us clean. Nice view from the hostel.
The food was delicious! That's the highlight. I'll definitely come back for this meal next time I have the chance.
Also, regarding the location, I met other travelers during my trip and learned from them that they chose other places because they were a bit far from Ichinomiya Station. It's true that it's about a ten-minute walk from the station, but I think the location is actually quite good. There...
The price/performance ratio is very high. I really like this free atmosphere. Just confirm the meal times with the boss. The food cooked by the boss is very delicious. Although the bathroom and toilet are shared, they are very clean.
On the hillside, you can overlook the lake. It is a very clean place. The boss cooks very good food and is a very cute uncle. If you have more time, I suggest you arrange two nights. It is very comfortable in the mountains.
The hotel is situated on a hill, approximately ten minutes' walk from the main road. If you arrive late at night, it is recommended that you buy groceries at the supermarket on the main road (the kitchen can be loaned so you can cook yourself). This Japanese-style hostel has a bathroom with a capacity of four people and one private shower. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. Even though...

Kanazawa, 3 Chome-132 Shintatemachi, 920-0995 Kanadzava, Prefektura Isikava, Yaponiya 🧭 Map
The staff were very welcoming and kind. The room and the facility were very clean and organized. However, we had to pay for towels to use them and the shower water was still cold when I tried, which was at 6 am.
Just a heads-up - if you plan to stay at any of the K's House hostels, you will need to have Internet access. They only accept online bookings. This is an excellent location from which to enjoy one of Japan's less publicized cities. Kanazawa is a smallish city, but thanks to its history, it is full of delightful cultural attractions such as the famous Kenroku-en garden, and still has many sections...
The hotel has a great location and convenient transportation. It's a good choice for solo travelers, but there aren't many restaurants nearby, and you have to walk a bit to find restaurants and convenience stores.
Great hostel!
Great hostel and nice staff! Excellent location and easy to walk around the city.
It was an amazing stay, staff extremely friendly and helpful. We would come back and likely will!
Great stay, good people, decent and clean kitchen with all the necessities at a reasonable price. Highly recommend.

Beppu, 7 Kumi, Miyuki 🧭 Map
We loved the Japanese style room with tatami mats, incredibly spacious room, amazing Japanese breakfast included in (low) price, great location that was walking distanc to Hyotan Onsen and the Beppu Jigoku (Hells of Beppu). The owner was super friendly and helpful and gave us a hand-drawn map of local onsens and restaurants.
To note: Showers were only 7.30-8.30am (same time as m breakfast at 7.30am...
The location is great.
There is one sink and one toilet.
The bath in the building uses regular boiled water, they explained, and they gave me information about a nearby public hot spring.
The location is good for sightseeing in Hell, and there are many hot springs to drop by.
The owner gave us a handmade map, so we could enjoy the hot springs in the morning and at night by looking at it.
I stayed in a dormitory, but I happened to be the only woman there, so it was spacious and comfortable.
Beppu is a famous hot spring resort, but the main purpose of this trip was not to go there, but to take part in the Sunflower Casual Cruise, an event that runs around the Seto Inland Sea during the day. I chose this lodging as it seemed like a place where I could relax on a budget. 1. If you book on duty you get a discount equivalent to the youth hostel membership rate. I was lucky as my membership...
I often heard people talking loudly at night and early in the morning, which was unpleasant.
I felt the bathroom was not cleaned very well.
I thought that having only one bathroom might be an issue when it was crowded.
The point where the bed creaks.
Others were comfortable.

comfortable and clean for its price.
It is in the middle of Kabukicho Shinjuku area. Two styles, a capsule hotel and an internet space. Clean and cheap. There are few manga, and there is a drink corner only in front of the entrance desk.
Good place. Clean seats, variety of books and a fast internet.
Overall is good. Clean and comfy. But you need to pay more if you want to use bathroom for 30minutes
I have used the open space at this place. It’s quiet, clean, and you can sit anywhere you want to. Some staff can speak English too.

It was cheap, clean, and nice.
There was a large supermarket and convenience store nearby, as well as a famous sushi restaurant.
The basement bathroom was nice, too.
However, you had to use the shared bathroom and shower.
The warmth of the reception staff makes people feel relaxed. The environment is also very clean and tidy, and you can see the care of the cleaning staff.
They were very kind and the rooms were clean and nice. I would like to use them again if I have the opportunity.
The hostel very clean and provide kitchen for us to cook simple supper. They provide parking and charged yen700.
Clean and tidy, back to dormitory life, subway at the door is quite convenient

Tokyo, 23-1 Tenjin-cho 🧭 Map
I liked everything about the hotel, from location to fantastic service by staff members, atmosphere during the day and evenings, the cleanliness and more. I do recommend this property a lot
While the location is relaxed, this hostel is decent, but overhyped. The dorm style beds are less soundproof than comparable places as there is a curtain in the front and back. The checkin is automated at the front and it can be confusing to know if you have breakfast (or an upgraded breakfast) included in the costs. The room ran uncomfortably warm overnight and they can’t do much about it. While a...
Location was nice, staff was helpful, and clean. Would recommend to anyone traveling on a budget
My first tokyo solo trip and wanted a convenient spot to travel within the city. On a website recommending great spots, this was my choice and I am so glad I went with it.
I requested the lower bunk because I tend to move around alot so lesser noise pollution. It was extremely quiet and clean. The showering area was within the dorm room but the toilet was outside, a little troublesome for others staying...
It was really clean, like a new building, and the private space was cozy. The bathroom and toilet were also very clean, and it wasn't crowded, so I was able to rest comfortably! The location was also very convenient.
The capsule hotel was a pleasant surprise—clean, cozy pods with good privacy and helpful staff. Though the location isn’t exactly central, it’s still fairly close to main areas and sits within a peaceful neighbourhood, perfect for a quiet rest after exploring. Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay and found it great value.

Large rooms, nice lounge, and kitchen available
Four students stayed here as lodging for a cycling training camp. The facilities, good location, and cleanliness were highly rated, and it was also reasonably priced, so honestly, there weren't any particular drawbacks. We also used the kitchen to make dinner, and the abundance of dishes and cooking utensils was very helpful. We would definitely stay here again the next time we come to Nichinan!
Perfect coffee and breakfast in iwasaki. Nice staffs and cozy atmosphere with classic interior design. Definitely recommended:)
Aburatsu Station Trap App is currently available for reservation. On weekdays, I often use the guesthouse alone, and there are usually guests on Saturdays, Sundays, and during the Aburatsu Festival.
It was close to Abutsu Station and located in the shopping district, so it was convenient.
It's not very convenient to go to the toilet and take a shower, but everything else is good

Hiroshima, Kawaramachi 10-20, Naka-ku 🧭 Map
One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at. Excellent staff, location, and rooms. The luggage area is separate from the capsules, which helps avoid the constant opening and closing of suitcases, a very annoying thing that often happens in hostels. If I return to Hiroshima, I will definitely stay here again. Highly, highly recommended!
I stayed at Sejour Inn Capsule and had an excellent experience. This is a top-quality capsule hotel: everything is beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and very well maintained. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. It’s a perfect choice for anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and stylish place to stay. Highly recommended!
We stayed for one night in one of the private rooms. The private room is apart from the main room and separated by a fabric shutter. It contains two pods, two lockers, a desk, a kettle and a tea set.
Pros:
The shower was very clean.
The amenities provided are great.
No issue with noise within the ‘quiet’ area.
Multiple shared spaces which are well maintained and well decorated.
Very close to a tram...
Hostel Sejour Inn in Hiroshima offers a peaceful stay, benefiting from the quieter atmosphere of a less touristy city. The hostel is fully equipped with necessary personal hygiene items, and I was assigned a capsule in an individual room, providing a hotel-like experience with just an accordion door. There are traditional Japanese rooms for relaxation, along with a kettle and dining area. The hostel...
Fantastic staff and value for money. Very comfortable pods with good clean facilities, as well as lounge areas for relaxing/ working. Three separate toilets and shower rooms on each floor.
They give you a key with a locker under or near your bed. Highly recommend.

Old traditional Japanese house, cozy and nice. Clean and has a big toilet for shower. Towel is provided hence is a bonus for most guest house I have been to. Couldn’t get the sea view but have to walk out 1 min to see the sea. Nice area near to the light house for a good sunset view.
Suitable for budget backpackers, the bed is very comfortable and I sleep soundly, the whole set of quilts is the same as my own IKEA, I want to be the hostess of this house, I will take good care of this yard, make it beautiful and more comfortable, the public area of the house is very romantic, I like it very much. The location is suitable for self-driving tours. It cannot be found at night. Please...

It's okay to stay alone for a short stay, there are not many places to eat nearby.
Great quality of accommodation! The boss is very kind! The setting is very beautiful! Very atmospheric and the transportation location is very convenient! The sea is beautiful! The vegetarian restaurant blue point, which is also run by the owner next door, is very delicious.

It is a very nice hostel with a great comfortable room. Only the step to enter my room is quite dangerous. It should be changed. Very nice toilet.
Very nice trip !The bed was comfortable and clean with a nice shower and toilets inside the bedroom !
This hostel has some genuinely strong points, but also several issues that stop it from being a great stay. It’s very much a mix of highs and lows.
The positives:
The common room is comfortable, with very good sofas and fast Wi-Fi (though it occasionally drops out — a router upgrade would easily fix this). There’s a shared kitchen with a labelled fridge, and the location is excellent for exploring...
Amazing hostel! Very nice staff, and the location is just great! There is a train station just in front of the hostel.
You can spend the entire stay without meeting any staff from check-in to check-out. It's great for a place to just sleep, as it's cheap and well-equipped. There's a shower and toilet in the room, which is convenient. There's also a washing machine and dryer. The only thing that's a bit of a hassle is that you can't exchange money and you have to remove the sheets.
Mostly self-service
The instruction flow is clear

I stayed twice. The first time was excellent; the receptionist was very friendly, and the room was clean and tidy. The second time, the receptionist was a bit unhelpful, and someone in my room had smelly feet.

It's good. But they don't have air conditioning. The hallways were extremely hot when I visited in September. I think they do this to save money.
Location is good and the locker is big.

Approximately 11 min walk from the station which isn’t too bad. However, it might be quite a walk if you have 2 big luggages. Booked a private room on the 2nd floor and thankfully the staff (male) helped us carry our bags up the stairs.

was here for 11 nights, food on first floor was excellent and great value (cheapest takoyaki I could find at 62 yen/piece even before the discount you get for staying there), showers did take a little bit to warm up and soap sometimes all used up so had to use their body wash, staff was friendly especially suman, would stay here again
Really good value considering the price you pay.
Rooms are clean, staff are polite and the bathrooms are always clean.
Been in more expensive hostels with bad shared facilities but cannot fault this one.
Will definitely come back
I also appreciate their rules to ensure all guests feel comfortable.
Was a bit apprehensive from the other reviews, but once there I decided to add another night since the price was unbeatable (most likely, due to the Expo, which many other guests seem to be going too), the location really convenient, and the rooms decent. The hostel is located right above a bar&restaurant so don't be shy entering to check in haha.
Great service, really cool people working there. Friendly place. The location is OK, the nearest metro station is like 5-8 min walk. The rooms. The bed is really good the dormitory is great. But, there is no shared space. No where to enjoy the company of others. That was a bummer. No kitchen either.
Decent price, very kind staff and the hostel is in great location. There are no big lockers and the lockers are not in the sleeping area which could be uncomfortable. The lobby is small and the fridge wasn't clean. Overall good experience and very decent price.

The hostel is located conveniently close to Asakusa Station but is also in a quiet lane so it’s peaceful with a wonderful view of the river. Some of the spaces are a bit too cramped and having huge suitcases can be an issue but they do have a luggage storage area.
Overall the hostel has a gods atmosphere with a helpful staff!
Staying in Tokyo for a week, I found this Gem, close to things to see and trainstations. Friendly staff who can give you great tips on things to discover, some not on tourist menu, nice Rooftop with view of Sumidariver and interesting cozy Underground Livingroom, watch your head if you are tall, I will defenitly stay here again when I come to Tokyo.

There are (seperate male and female) onsens downstairs, which were really hot (too hot for me to get into, but I enjoyed interacting with the Japanese family who were much better at getting in). The hotel is quite old. The rooms are ryokan style and a bit dusty. There is no private bathroom. Parking is inconvenient.
It is perfect for male travelers because the onsen is spectacular. On the other female onsen is super small and old. The rooms are not maintained, and they are falling apart. Tous the bigger issue was that the hostel doesn't belong to the hotel association so you won't be allowed to use the public onsens in the town
