Capsule Hotel Cube Hiroshima, Hiroshima1 / 14Good price
9.1
Hiroshima, 14-5 Noboricho, Rayon Naka, 730-0016 Hirosima, Prefektura Hirosima, Yaponiya 🧭 Map
Was quite basic but alright. The smoking room being next to the main sleep section wasn’t great. Also the whole floor was very hot and with a thick fur blanket (comfy as it was) made everything a lot hotter. But that’s me being picky, £30 for 2 nights was good enough value. Just average
Good location, kept clean regularly and reception uses English very well. Even got a nice new years gift upon check in.
If only the single room had a separate door lock, so that you don't need to lock the cabinet every time you go out.
The capsule pod / private room design is very good. You get the price of a hostel, but privacy of a normal hotel room. Good location, walkable to both train station and Atomic bomb dome.
This is the place that made me appreciate capsule hotels. Spotlessly clean, with a check-in that’s a little strict but very efficient. Facilities are well designed and guests are very respectful. I was also able to store my bike, packed in its rinko bag, without any issues. A capsule experience I can recommend.
Washing machine available, everything you would expect from a budget friendly capsule hotel, good location, only some of the mattresses in the rooms which were not updated yet would use an exchange since especially towards the middle they aren’t so thick (compared to the sides).

Capsule Hotel New Gloria, Beppu1 / 8

Beppu, 1-25 Motomachi 🧭 Map
1. This is a capsule hotel, with individual wooden partitioned rooms. 2. You access it by card, and shoe lockers are at the entrance; you enter wearing slippers. 3. I stayed on November 26th and 27th in winter. The heating was on full blast, so it wasn't cold at all. 4. 24-hour front desk service. 5. There's a large public bath, and you shower directly in the public bath area.
It is a good place to stay if you just need a bed to sleep, there is basically no space to hang out but your capsule. However considering the price I’ve got no complaints :) Also it was already mentioned in other reviews but you can’t shower anywhere if it is not the onsen they’ve got and if you have tattoos, it is not an option either.
The hotel lobby is not on the ground floor and has to be accessed using the elevator (which was slightly confusing). However there’s an onsen that can be accessed on the same floor with the lobby. It was not too busy so I was able to have the place to myself.
Shower inside of the onsen. No tattoos allowed which means NO SHOWERS if you have tattoos.
The 6th floor houses the guest accommodation. Guests are required to remove their shoes upon entry, and each person is provided with a key-locked shoe locker. Upon check-in, guests receive a key wristband and a room card, both used to access the sleeping quarters. Our family of four enjoyed staying here. It's a budget place but they look after you well. Unlimited tea bags, unlimited fresh towels, free cappucino machine downstairs, wonderful hangout area, tatami room (which we used to do work, meditate and eat meals in), large kitchen with all facilities you need to cook, outdoor seating area, very close to a 7-11, only four train stops from central Hamamatsu...
This property was amazing. Great location great signage to get there right off the train such friendly staff impeccable highly recommend staying here.
A great stay, highly recommend this Hostal, everything was top class. We would stay again.
The night shift staff if good and nice, he wait till 2130 and let me check in with details information.
It was a good value for money stay. I stayed with friends, but if we had come as a family, the kids would have enjoyed the loft area and the BBQ. It might have been better if we could have used our camping gear a little more.
Rented bicycles for 24hpurs for only 1000 each. Worked perfectly well. Took advantage of the lounge which had a lovely atmosphere. Bedroom was bigger than many other places I've stayed at. Staff at reception were smiley. Cleaners too were jolly. Only down side was the bathroom toilet. There was nowhere to put a change of clothes towel etc. so I managed to soak them.

Yokohama, 3 Chome-10-5 Matsukagecho, rayon Naka, 231-0025 Yokogama, Prefektura Kanagava, Yaponiya 🧭 Map
This is a great price, especially for budget travelers.
I think the place is just great, especially that it is an actual room, and you can have breakfast. But a pillow is too small - had to use backpack to lift up a bit. Also, recommend asking for a room away from the kitchen. It is quite loud in the morning.
Great location near to Yokohama china town, and only 5 mins walk from train station, room is small but tidy and clean, shared toilets and bathrooms, you cannot ask for more at this price, one thing I have to point out if you’re with big and heavy luggage you must ready to handle it as the building has no lift.
Given the price, you can overlook a lot. I stayed in room 402. It was just big enough for a single bed, but the AC was powerful, and it was perfectly fine for a solo male traveler. The biggest advantage is its location: Chinatown and Yamashita Park are within walking distance, and it's close to the JR station, making most Yokohama attractions easily accessible. However, it's not recommended for solo...
Although the property is old, it had an apartment-like feel, and the showers and toilets were communal. However, it was spotlessly clean and very well-maintained, which allowed me to have a comfortable stay. A simple breakfast was also provided, and it was perfectly adequate.
People who complain about neighbourhood are partially right, because it's indeed not the best (a lot of cheap hostels there). But actually, it is still safe. (It is Japan!) And yes, you get a WHOLE ROOM, and not just a capsule like in another hostels. A young girl like me was completely okay and nothing bad happened during my four days stay there. The staff is friendly. I walked through all the Yokohama...

Very nice, great area and super nice environment with a bar downstairs. Would recommend
The hostel has a clean and smelless bathroom. Humidifier placing in the room helps a lot to create a comfortable environment. The most important thing is that the Japanese workers there can speak fluent English, which is completely the opposite outside of the hostel. They recommended me to amazing affordable local Japanese restaurants as well👍🏻
Not only is it conveniently located near the station, but the amenities were all stylish and well-maintained by MARKS AND WEB?, and the facilities were very clean. The shared space was equipped with a refrigerator, basic kitchen utensils, cutlery, and coffee and tea, making it ideal for long-term stays. There was also a cafe on-site, where guests could order breakfast for an additional fee. In addition...
Was a decent stay, was very warm and privacy was decent but could be improved
The best hostel I've stayed at during my stay in October 2025. The staff is very helpful and polite. No problems!
close to multiple stations as well as only a 20 minute walk from Akihabara station. only downside is that amenities run out in the early hours.

Female toilets not on every floor. Had less amenities than I would have liked..
Good location and friendly staff
The location is great. In font the station.
It was cosy and not costly, great location and i think i would rec it to others if youre looking for sort of a backpacker design layout but with your own room
Located right outside 18-jo Station, it's very convenient for subway users and those who have business at Hokkaido University. The staff were very friendly and the explanations were easy to understand. The building is clean, and the obvious places are generally well-cleaned. You can only go up and down by stairs, so it's probably best not to bring a big suitcase. The room looks cramped at first glance...
staff is nice. Location is ok (very near to station) but not central central Sapporo. Room with concrete floor and does not feel very clean to be honest.

The slippers weren't cleaned, and many pairs smelled a bit, so I recommend bringing your own. Hair dryers were a bit hard to find, and they were shared, not one per room. Everything else was fine; the rooms and bathrooms were clean, the neighborhood was quiet, and there was no light at night.
Calling it an old folk house sounds nice, but it is indeed an old building. There were only two other guests, myself and one other person, so it was very quiet and comfortable. The bed was very hard and reminded me of my hometown. Everything felt nostalgic, and I was able to sleep soundly and comfortably, but younger people might not find it relaxing. Only a single sliding door separates it from the...
Lovely traditional house in an old part of suburban Tokyo, but with the convenience of excellent transport links.
The owner is very knd, and the guest house is very clean. satisfied client here. Highly recommended.
Great for a stay without meals
From the tram station, we walked through a quiet residential area. It was not too far, but Google navigation was not very accurate. It was a house with local characteristics and affordable. Because it was a wooden house, the sound insulation was not very good, but everyone was relatively quiet at night.

The hostel is centrally located and easy to get around. Walking distance to Namba station, Dotonburi and Shinsaibashi shopping.
The staff are NOT friendly at all !!! The are like robot working as well, part of the staff do not speak English at all. The biggest advantage of this property is the location.
I had a 4 person room on the ladies floor. The rooms were a bit squashed, but my upper bunk had a small locker, socket and light as well as privacy curtains. Bathroom was clean and showers were not cramped with space to keep your stuff.
Everything good but if you do not have own towel you need to rental and all things was nice in my opinion. And good location you can choose train 2 line between yotsubashi and shinsaibashi.
Stay 2 nights in this hotel, it's the best decision, because this hotel is nice, its a big room hotel in japan, the price is affordable too, and they gave nice breakfast, and hope i can stay again next time
[Not worth it if over 300 yuan per night] Hygiene: It's clean, but compared to hotels and hostels in Japan, I'd say the hygiene level is average. Environment: The overall space is quite small. The corridors and toilets are all quite tiny. The beds are bunk beds, and the ceiling height isn't very generous either. Service: The service was just so-so. The best!! Beds were super comfy and everything was very clean. The staff were so lovely and it felt very much like home! 100% would reccomend.
The room environment is great, with a wonderful atmosphere. The front desk staff speak excellent English, which was very helpful. They provided many hand-drawn maps recommending nearby restaurants and various entertainment facilities. It's also very close to Matsumoto Castle.
We really like this hostel, very clean and good location, host also very nice recommend us Matsumoto area. If i ever come again in Matsumoto sure will book this hotel, recommended hostel to stay!
The staff were very kind and helpful! There were four bicycles available for us to use, which was a lot of fun! The accommodation has a shower, but there was a public bath nearby, so we went there by bicycle! There was a guitar and a hammock in the common area, so we could enjoy ourselves! It was a little inconvenient that the sink wasn't in the room but in the common area, and we were a little disappointed...
The location is great, next to Matsumoto Castle, a 5-minute walk, and you can go to see the night view of Matsumoto Castle at night. There are many restaurants and paid parking spaces nearby. There is a kitchen, kitchen utensils, pots, bowls, cups and a lounge for use. Shared bathroom facilities. The century-old building was renovated and the rooms are not soundproofed.
Friendly staff, good location, can use their bicycle freely to explore Matsumoto. Only have 2 shower room (1 upstairs 1 downstairs) so need to wait for your turn during peak hours. The curtain can make larger to cover the entire entrance of the bed, if not I can see my neighbour entering and exiting their bed while I am sleeping.

It’s my second K’s hotel. The first was in Kanazawa and now in Takayama. They are the best by all levels. From reasonable price cleaning service staff - everything just perfect 👌🏽 I do recommend the K’s chain hotels in Japan.
The room was incredibly spacious and clean. I especially loved the kitchen, perfect for cooking the Hida beef I bought from the butcher – amazing value for money! Plus, having a washer and dryer was a huge convenience. It's also super close to both the Nohi Bus Center and Takayama Station, which was really handy.
Almost perfect. Except that the blanket comforter smells like a sweat of a guy. Not sure how do they laundry or if they have changed it. But the rest can't complain.

I'm happy with the hostel. Everything seems to be cleaned daily and is accordingly clean, and you can leave your luggage before check-in. It's super quick to get to Shinjuku and Shibuya (less than 10 minutes). Unfortunately, there are only two showers, and you have to buy towels.

The location is absolutely fantastic! It's super convenient for getting to Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Yoyogi Park! The service is also excellent. Location is excellent. amenities are good. My friend and and I had our separate 'unit' made of two capsule beds. I came home to a guy sleeping in my bed and the hotel handled it well and gave us compensation.
The location and environment are great, but since it was listed as a "single room" when I booked, I tried messaging to inquire if it was for me alone, but only received automated replies. Upon check-in, I discovered it was actually a small corner of a dormitory; the top bunk was unoccupied, but someone was sitting opposite it, not the "single room" it advertised. There are lockable cabinets available...

It’s decent for the price albeit I would not recommend it for the traveling couple since the room is a little bit cramped (we also have two large luggages so you could imagine how cramped it was for us). The room smells a little musty but clean enough, the bathroom location is not that good since men’s and women’s are on different floors, the shower room is good though.

The bedding was clean. I found the check-in process a bit exhausting due to the excessive and detailed explanations. The only other issue was the discomfort caused by the number of smokers often gathered near the hostel entrance, right next to a tobacco shop. Aside from that, the facilities were very clean, and it was a satisfying stay.
I was searching for a guesthouse near Hakata Station and found this one. I've stayed in many guesthouses overseas, so I was surprised at how clean a Japanese guesthouse was. This is a budget hostel, so the space is cramped. There's a women-only dorm with six beds, and several mixed dorm beds as well. The accommodation has two shared bathrooms and two shower rooms, one women-only.

Many people criticize this B&B, so I'll say a few fair words. First of all, the landlord is an auntie who speaks a little English but not Chinese. She chatted with me in English when I checked in. Because it's a homestay, there are many rules, such as no smoking, throwing towels in a bamboo basket after taking a shower, trying to be quiet after 11pm, washing dishes after breakfast, etc. I live with...
Although the bathroom is shared, the room is clean and Japanese style. Breakfast is free of charge. However, we had to leave early in the morning and did not have time for breakfast. The lady boss was very considerate and prepared bread for us in the morning.
