Perhaps it was just luck, but I was able to find what appears to be the only spacious, barrier-free room available, which was extremely comfortable
They apologized, saying they were sorry for telling me off! I think they need to be more considerate during busy breakfast times. I'd definitely like to use this hotel again, so I decided to leave a review
I stay at this hotel when I go to watch baseball games at Hotto Motto Kobe. It's in a very convenient location, with many reasonably priced and delicious izakayas and restaurants nearby
This is my third time staying here, and it's something I've noticed every time: the breakfast area is right after you get off the elevator, and every time I get off, there's always someone waiting in line
I was standing in line, not knowing what to do, so I apologized and got in line next to the person at the front. Honestly, I wasn't happy about being told off in the midst of so many people in line
Shouldn't the person at the front not have had a say in it? Shouldn't the hotel have thought about it and led the way? The person at the front was also a customer

very kind, room condition is very good, good meal. the best hotel in Kobe!
Excellent hotel! The entire property has a wonderful old-world charm. The large terrace offers a beautiful view, and they even provide essential oils for an aromatherapy diffuser, which was a lovely touch
Excellent hotel with beautifully appointed rooms and suites. The staff are professional and helpful. Some could be in need of a little more training but it their intention is always from a good place. 10/10
Highly recommend for anyone visiting Kobe
I came here for Kobe Marathon 2025 This hotel near the finish point Near anpanman museum A big shopping mall nearby Breakfast not that good
Great place, great view on the sea, spacious area with big tables on the terrace. When you drink coffee, they always offer you a free refill

Kobe, 1-13-12 Motomachi-dori (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Small hotel, room and facility good, breakfast OK. Location very good, near with JR train station and many shop & restaurant
Really good, big room and free lounge access for snacks and drinks
The location is good. But the room is not clear at all, I saw a pair of socks under the bed which is not mine, and so many dust.
Very happy with the stay not sure how it's only 3 stats very good value for money I stayed here for a break from the hostels and capsule hotels and I loved it
There is near by JR train station but far from Shinkunsen station. But near by china town, you can walk to good restuarant and department store.
The location is fantastic, just in front of motomachi station. The room is spacius and the bed is comfortable. They have smart tv which is good.

Kobe, 1904 Arima-cho Kita-ku (13 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The hotel has a long history so the building does have a slightly dated feeling to it and it's a huge hotel (with multiple blocks and floors) so might not offer a cozy feeling
I then I finally move everything upward to the hotel lobby then was told: I COULD CALL HOTEL TO SEND FREE SHUTTLE BUS TO SEND US UP TO THE HOTEL For free!!! I emailed hotel in advance to my departure but was not advised how shuttle bus would work, or given impression there would be taxi lining up at bus station
Did not stay but used Onsen + lunch package. Onsen was one of the best in my life in Japan. I could use 1の湯 and 3の湯 all alone. Could not believe I was the only person using this onsen at that time
Excellent hotel. Good quality accommodation and food. Very enjoyable spa although rather expensive.
Make sure to let them know any dietary restrictions or allergies ahead of time! It is very limited on English speaking so make sure to have your translation app and make sure to follow all the rules! Again: a very magical experience!
Wow! This was the most magical experience of our entire Japan trip. We did the Kobe dinner in our room and had access to both the public onsen and booked a private one

Extremely Perfect and Excellent. Location, hygienes, room, private onsen, public onsen, dinner, breakfast, and the staff, everything was in place perfectly. Deserve to get 5 stars rating resort.
very good place, nice staff, best foods in the morning and evening 😍
Food quality and choices are fantastic. Staff service is very good and can communicate well in English. One minor drawback is that the spa pool is too small for too many hotel guests
It's perfect for families to enjoy the ambiance, and the service and environment are both excellent
Room is very spacious and clean.  Good service!

Very pleasant stay - very helpful staff, clean rooms, and the breakfast was excellent (won multiple trip advisor awards for the breakfast alone)
Not bad. It's close to Sannomiya and Kitano Ijinkan. The milk-stewed chicken for breakfast was really good.
Easy check in and good location close to town center and restaurants. Staff was exceptionally friendly and does speak English.
Comfortable, good localisation between 2 train stations. Best breakfast. Delicious chocolate store at reception. Tea in the reception. Very cosy.
800m from the station. Good room. Good breakfast.
Unlike some more modern Japanese hotels, this place offers a little more space in both the bedroom and bathroom. It feels a little dated, but it's quaint and in good condition. Friendly helpful staff too.

BRENZA HOTEL KOBE, Kobe1 / 9

Kobe, 6 Chome-1-1 Kumoidori, Chuo Ward (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The bathroom is a bit cramped, and the sink and shower share a single faucet, which I guess is an 'innovative' design choice, haha. Both the front desk and restaurant are on the second floor
Toothbrushes, toiletries, and pajamas need to be picked up yourself from the area opposite the front desk on the second floor. For breakfast, you need to provide your room number at the front desk to get a queue number
While the area is currently undergoing subway construction, we stayed in a street-facing room and it wasn't noisy at all. The room decor is very new, though the space is a bit small
There's a raised platform under the bed, so be careful not to bump your feet when getting in and out
After checking in on the second floor, you take the same elevator back down to access your room
An attendant will then call your number at the restaurant. Breakfast is a set meal, but some items like bread, rice balls, small cakes, and drinks are self-service

Kobe, 67 Kyomachi Chuoku (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The staff at this Italian hotel spoke good English, which was a huge plus. Overall, I was very satisfied. Also, its location in a bustling area made getting around incredibly convenient
The room wasn't huge, but it was perfectly adequate. More importantly, it was immaculately clean, and the service was excellent and very attentive
Considering we paid nearly 1000 per night, we didn't feel it offered good value for money. If the price were under 500, it would be much more in line with its overall offering
Otherwise, the surroundings were relatively peaceful, and the area was good for exploring. A major inconvenience was that the hotel is located on the second floor
The hotel is located in the CBD, very strategic location to access to everywhere. 5mins walk to the Chinatown, 10mins walk to train station, 15mins walk to Meriken park
Checking in required us to carry our luggage up numerous steps, which definitely needs improving. Additionally, the duvet in the room was incredibly thick

The hotel location is excellent—right next to the express bus stop, so it’s very convenient if you take the express bus from Namba Osaka. The meals provided by the hotel were good, especially the breakfast
The facilities are very well maintained, the onsen facilities are excellent, and the staff are friendly and polite. Many local Japanese tourists were present
Lunch and dinner were both eaten at the restaurant; the food was delicious, and the service was excellent
Although some of them were not very proficient in English, the ladies tried their best to help us
The price-performance ratio of one night's stay with two meals is excellent. The hotel has a small courtyard and a small torii gate, making for a very pleasant stay
The location very good if you stay this hotel you can walking to village area so easy We suggest you to booking room including dining with on chef’s table

Very good service, the staff very friendly and really take care of the customers I really appreciate this Hotel the room is most comfortable.
Rent for entire room in an apartment in Kobe rates $23 each person per day. The facilities include bedroom, living room, kitchen set (stove, microwave, and fridge), bathroom, and portable wifi with unlimited access
There were two people at the front desk, and they were very helpful. It was a smoking room, but I was surprised that there was no odor when I entered
Kobe, hot springs ♨️ are great, and the breakfast is substantial. The rooms are quiet and you can get a good night's sleep. I'll definitely come back.
While it wasn't a problem for me, the bathtub seemed small for men, and there was only one elevator, so I had to wait a bit
The food was delicious and there was free parking available without a reservation.

We had a wonderful time there. 4 couple open air baths that can be rented for 40min and you can also choose to have one I. Your room. Food was really good. As well.
The service at this hot spring hotel is absolutely excellent! Highly recommended!
I think there was also a service. It is recommended because it is a quiet and good location!
Good location, nice service, The dinner and breakfast are great.
They have good onsen and walking distance to nearby shops and restaurants. But if you carry luggages, better to call hotel to pick up as it is uphill to hotel from station.
We saw the shuttle arrive and leave twice, and we didn't have time to go out and stop it. It would have been great if a doorman could have held the car for us. This caused a delay of about 20 minutes

I stayed here the day before Seventeen's fan meet! It was easy to access from Nakakoen Station, the rooms were clean, there were plenty of amenities, the bath was open 24 hours a day, and there was a sauna too!! I would definitely stay here again if I had the chance!
The actual hot-tub was good too, but I focus on sauna > cold tub cycles more than anything. Rooms are new and look good, if not a bit small. Stay for a night if you are on the fence
The hotel is European style, spacious for 3 people, I was so happy that I forgot to take pictures of the room, but took pictures of the view outside the window!
Great hotel, great value for money, easy to find, convenient to the airport, clean and comfortable, great hot springs
Also, there were tea bags for tea and black tea at the amenity selection area, and there was a kettle in the room, but no bottled water. It was the first time I'd stayed in a hotel without water in the room
There is nothing on the island, you can only take a taxi to the other side. But the service is very good, the room is clean, but it is too small and the price is a bit expensive

Very awesome room, located right in the middle of everything. We kept going, omg this is the best stay ever
First, I checked in at a nearby cafe. The room was spacious, with a separate shower and toilet, and even a study-like room. Kin no Yu was also nearby, which I was very happy with. It was a great, affordable inn
Excellent hotel! I really liked the service, the room was large, everything was clean, and the breakfast was excellent. Check-in is in the cafe, so check the website to avoid getting lost.
The accommodations were excellent, and I'd definitely stay here again if I were to return to Arima
Check-in is at a coffee shop, where the staff will tell you where your accommodation is. It's very close to the Golden Hot Springs, and they provide bathrobes for you to change into upon arrival
I was a little worried at first because check-in and check-out were done at a nearby cafe, but the explanations were easy to understand and it wasn't as inconvenient as I thought it would be

She pointed to the sign in Japanese. That said, her elderly  colleague was amicable and a darling. He was polite and professional.  The rooms were spacious and the complimentary Ume tea was delightful
We were met by an aloof and rude receptionist whose name has a 带 among other characters.  She said check-in starts only at 3pm and obviously I don’t understand her as we were not Japanese
They even sell sake in vending machines! You can buy souvenirs right in the hotel, and the prices are reasonable. It's a 4-minute walk from Arima Onsen station and 6 minutes to the bus stop (which goes directly to Kobe)
The one-night stay with two meals was fantastic. I really enjoyed the hot springs and the kaiseki dinner. It's definitely worth recommending
If you're looking to relax and soak in some hot springs, this hotel will absolutely meet your needs
Good place to stay a night and explore Arima. Old fashioned. Really good, fresh and tasty breakfast. Service👍👍👍 At night somehow smoking smell appeared in our room even if room was non-smoking

One of the best accommodations I've ever had! Extremely polite and friendly service, private hotel springs are amazing, truly relaxing. Very easy and convenient self booking option
Visited in winter, it was really good overall. The only drawback was that the tatami mat was quite cold when we first entered.
The private onsen experience was excellent. The front desk staff spoke Chinese and provided great service. The hotel also offers a shuttle bus to the bus station, which was very convenient
I really like this private onsen hotel. It has both indoor and outdoor baths, featuring Arima's famous 'Golden Spring' and 'Silver Spring' waters
Free shuttle but to/from station, if you are afraid to call you can easily write them to WhatsApp or other messengers. I'm very exited and highly recommend this place to stay
In the lobby, there were various drinks and ice cream available, perfect for a refreshing treat after a hot spring bath

It may be a small thing, but I think it's important to explain things in detail, as some people may complain later that they weren't explained. The hotel is also well-cleaned and clean
Even with the plates on the tray, there was only food to choose from. But it said that breakfast was complimentary (sorry if I read it wrong), so I guess it can't be helped
It was also disappointing that we couldn't use the large public bath due to time constraints. In conclusion, I would definitely like to use it again next time
On the other hand, I don't think there was anything missing in the room. If I had to say something, it might be that the breakfast was a little disappointing
The staffs are very helpful all the time. Clean and good location.
The hotel has a parking lot, but if it is full, there are other parking lots nearby so you can go by car, which was a relief. The reception staff were polite and helpful

To start with the room, a fairy tale I never wanted to leave this fabulous place the establishment is of an incomparable chic, the gastronomic space of the restaurant is fabulous the dishes are of a finesse and taste to make you fall from your chair, I recommend more than nature, an incredible setting with an auxiliary establishment at the top of the mountain where I wish you to go there one day
The hotel service staff is really good and enthusiastic, which really makes people feel very comfortable
EV friendly as they have free charging stations (bring your charger. Tesla doesn't need it as they have one for Tesla). "The most delicious breakfast" sounds true as they serve homemade food, using local ingredients
Everything is good, but the WiFi is a little weak
However, the so-called "best breakfast in the world" is really exaggerated. Although the table looks full, the quality is far inferior to the breakfasts of Peninsula Hotel, Six Senses, Waldorf Astoria, Park Hyatt, etc
The hotel is indeed a bit old, and the facilities are relatively old, but it is still well maintained and clean. The room size is OK, at least a family of three can use it normally

Also, the sake lees skincare product shown below was particularly good; I used it in the large public bath
Very good, suitable for staying. Cleanliness: Clean. Breakfast is early, so not suitable for sleeping in. The surrounding area is nice and you can hike.
The hotel also offered complimentary gold or silver hot spring experiences. Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to try the hotel's breakfast and dinner this time
Onsen was definitely good enough that I felt like I didn’t have to go to the famous Gold onsen neither the Silver onsen where are both crowded. Service was overall excellent!
Overall, it's great in every aspect! The environment is quiet, and the location is not far from the city center; Arimada Street is within walking distance.
The room was a good size with mountain views. The hotel didn't have private bathrooms, but had a large public bath with seven different hot spring flavors, said to treat various ailments and insomnia

Excellent hotel ryokan built and with interior from the late 90's/ early 00's. The hotel has great private baths (note that they are only hot water, not mineral water) and shared mineral water pools
They provide yukata and a very good overall experience. There is free wi-fi, which reaches to most places (not to the wine bath though)
Best ever onsen and love their hospitality.will back again
Comfortable and soothing ryokan in the heart of Arima Onsen town at the top of a steep hill! Kaiseki was awesome in quality and detailed in appearance! Soothing and relaxing onsen bath with Gold and Silver onsen
Service staff was attentive and helpful, especially the conceige! Free IPA and highball drinks after dinner, too! Nespresso coffee available in the morning. Try it to enjoy the relaxation in Kobe!
The hotel doesn't have a room service option (based on the English facilities menu) which is a bit of a shame, as I would've loved to have something to eat as I normally go for late night dinners
