Urban Hotel Kyoto Shijo Premium in Kyoto

This hotel has a public bath, which is great for relaxing. It's also conveniently located near bus stops that take you to popular attractions. There are plenty of food options nearby, and a subway station is close by, making it easy to get to Osaka.

the hotel strategic location easy to acssess other location near conbination store family mart

Surrounded by many eateries, convenience store and supermarkets (life) and near train stations. Come with public bath and sauna separated by gender.

Only cons is that you can smell cigarettes in the lobby.

I booked this through Ctrip's group buy, and it was excellent value for money. Although the room was small, it was very well-designed. It was also very convenient and safe for my child to stay there alone. The Hankyu Line and Karasuma Subway Line are both within a ten-minute walk from the hotel. The LIFE supermarket and convenience stores are also very close by.

The location is great, nestled between Hankyu Shijo-Omiya and Karasuma, making it easy to walk to both. This is super convenient for getting between Osaka Umeda and Kyoto Kawaramachi. Plus, there's a Shijo-Horikawa bus stop right downstairs that goes to Kyoto Station. Overall, it's very convenient, and the facilities are complete, including a thoughtful luggage storage service! Excellent value for money.

The room was quite spacious for Japan, easily accommodating two 28-inch suitcases laid out. It was clean and tidy. I booked a premium room which had a fresh air ventilation system, so the room never felt stuffy. The receptionist was polite and courteous, and English communication was no problem. Check-in was quick and easy, and they even held my package deliveries securely. Breakfast was good, with both Japanese and Western options, and for Chinese, there were mini meat buns or siu mai, and one day they even had congee. The closest Hankyu Omiya Station is just a 5-minute walk away, making it super convenient to get to Osaka. Daimaru and Takashimaya department stores are also within walking distance. The lobby offers complimentary coffee and tea, and there's a large public bath on the second floor. For this price, it's truly a rare find and highly recommended!

It's about a fifteen-minute walk to Kawaramachi, but this place has a gym, a large public bath, and breakfast included. The room was bigger than your average Japanese hotel room, and overall, it offers great value for money. Breakfast is on the first floor; over three days, there wasn't much variety, and thankfully, very few fried items.

Great stay from day one. Free drinks at the lobby, free spa, helpful staff (I forgot my room card and they opened it for me), and laundry is only ¥500 wash+dry. 5–8 mins walk to the station, Family Mart next door and plenty of cafes nearby. Highly recommend.

Good location for many amenity and walking distance to different attraction sites.
Fast check-in and front desk staff are helpful.
Room is big and comfortable.
Cleanliness can be better as dust could be spotted on the wall and the hanging lamp.
Will be good if can provide 2 pillows instead of 1.
Cons: when walked into the main lobby, the whole place smell of cigarette odour.
