I stayed at M’s Hotel Kyoto Station Kizuya, which is about a 15-minute walk from Kyoto Station. The location is quite convenient, especially if you are traveling with a large suitcase, since luggage is generally not allowed on Kyoto city buses. Walking from the station is therefore a practical option.

The hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood, which I really liked. There are bus stops within about 3–5 minutes walking distance, and a few convenience stores nearby, making it easy to grab food or daily necessities.

In my opinion, the room size is quite small, but it is acceptable considering the affordable price. The bed was comfortable, and one nice bonus is there is a bathroom with shower.

There is also a water dispenser and a microwave available in the laundry room for guests to use. Inside the room, there is a small table and chair, which is useful.

However, the floor space is limited. If you open two suitcases at the same time, it can be difficult to move around the room. A refrigerator is provided, but unfortunately it was not very cold.

Overall, I think this room type matches the price well, especially since Kyoto is a very popular tourist destination where accommodation can be expensive.

The room was really clean. However, the front desk system was quite confusing. It seemed self-service but wasn't, and sometimes there was only one person at the front desk or no one at all, which made the service quite inefficient.

Room is clean and okay, small but manageable to open all luggage. Toilet fit size with woman but small for male. Location is in walking distance but around the hotel is the local’s house, peaceful but need to walk for travel and food.

The room is quite good; it's big enough to keep a suitcase open, which isn't common in Japan. The bathroom has a tub with hot water and good pressure, perfect for showering. The location is about a 10-15 minute walk from Kyoto Station. Within a 5-minute walk, there are several convenience stores. The only drawback I'd mention is that they don't clean the room daily, only on the 4th day of your stay. However, you can request fresh towels and other amenities at the front desk every day without any issues.

It's very quiet, just a bit far from the station. If you're not too familiar with Kyoto, you might have to search for a while to find it. However, the hotel and room are still very comfortable and clean.

We had a pleasant stay here. Only thing I would fault is there is no housekeeping offered unless you are staying for a longer stay than 3 days as your room is only cleaned on day 4 and day 7. We only stayed three nights therefore did not avail of this service. Meaning we had used towels lying around and our bin was not emptied during our stay. They do offer a laundry service and have a facility for hot water and microwave which we did not use. There is also a smoking room in the hotel for those who smoke. Also to note check in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. Which we found a little inconvenient for our plans. Location is okay, it is easily accessible by public transport.

Good hotel with nice staff, has everything one could need, with private bathroom and all the needed amenities available by the front desk. A little far from de center but just a 10min walk from de train station

Hotel is clean. Staff not available as you self check in and out. There is staff if you call and wait. Location about 15min walk from station. Not really located near shops/restaurants. No room service except for towel change every three days. Room is slightly cheaper than other hotels if you are looking to save. Had windows in room but cant be opened and no views from room.
