Pearl Hotel Kayabachou in Tokyo

Stayed for one night during peak period, location was fine. Only downside was there were steps that led to the entrance of the hotel and no ramp available so it was a hassle to lug my large luggage. Room and facilities were also relatively old.

Location: Right by the subway station, not far from Ginza or Shinjuku.
Facilities: Exceeded expectations! The room wasn't as small as I thought, and coming back to a bath and a cold beer after a long day of walking was just perfect.
Service: Good. Communication with the front desk was smooth.
Highlights: There's a FamilyMart downstairs and a Lawson within a two-minute walk. Plus, there's a great coffee shop just around the corner.

Nice room, perfect for solo traveler, clean and tidy, microwave at first floor. Location is very nice, there are convenience stores nesrby and very close to kayabacho st.

Excellent location and affordable price. It's within walking distance to areas like Tokyo Station and Nihonbashi. I'd always seen this place online but never stayed here before because it showed it had been open for a long time. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how good it actually was!

Being so close to the subway station is incredibly convenient, and there's also a convenience store nearby. It's also close to Tokyo Station and in the city center, making it great value for money, especially since hotels in Tokyo, Japan, are super, super expensive. The room was small, but it had everything I needed.

This hotel is a bit old, and you still use a physical key to open the door. You need to leave your key at the front desk when you go out, which is good in case you lose it. I think the room size is decent, enough to open up a 26-inch suitcase. There's no complimentary drinking water in the room, but there are vending machines on the 3rd and 9th floors, as well as ice machines! If you want a cold drink, it's very convenient to grab some ice here! There are coin-operated washing machines and dryers on the 2nd floor, and if you don't bring your own detergent, you can buy it at the front desk for 100 yen, which is quite convenient. This is a must-have for long-term travelers! (PS: If you use the dryer, I recommend at least an hour, my clothes were still a bit damp after 30 minutes.)

Items like toothbrushes and tea bags need to be picked up from the lobby on the first floor.

Hygiene: The room was neat and clean, with no obvious stains found. The bathroom was relatively clean and odorless.

Service: Standard interactions, no unpleasant experiences.

Transportation: It's not far from Kayabacho Station (Tozai Line, Exit 4b), about a 5-8 minute walk. It's mostly a straight walk, making it easy to find.

Overall, my stay was quite good, and it had all the facilities I needed.
