This is a terrible hotel. Tiny rooms with dirty walls and dirty carpets. Poor air cooling system. Window onto another building wall. Corridors the same. Nowhere to sit in lobby. Small and slow elevator (only one). Unhelpful staff who failed to issue breakfast voucher despite our saying we wanted breakfast and who then were unable to correct their own error. Final bill whose amount did not correspond to rate we had booked.

Stayed there 3 nights, room was clean and had all what you needed staff were polite and helpful. Only gripe was it would have been nice to have a view other than the brick wall next door, as the room was small and it wasn't cheap. It was close to restaurants and train station which was a bonus.

The place is just okay. As in it has all the necessary amenities you need, it’s clean enough, and it’s just the bare minimum that you need from a hotel. The only thing I hated was the slanted mattress. They should really change it. Very hard to sleep in. The heater is also way too high, had to turn it off and open the window in Feb.

Very good deal for the money. Although the room is pretty small but it has everything you need. The room is clean and comfortable. It also provides free movie for you to enjoy which I found they understand what men need lol The breakfast is also very good. I had a sandwich set and it tastes fine for a hotel with such price. The staff are also very nice and kind.

Like other APA brand hotels, the room was small but clean, safe, and comfortable. I think this is good enough for a stay in business trip. If you plan to stay in your holidays, I do not recommend this place. Just one thing, this APA hotel Kandaeki-higasi is not so close to train stations compared to other APA hotels. So I rated this place as three stars. But as already written, other than the location, the place is as cpmfortable as other APA hotels.

Good Hotel. Very clean, close to Kanda Station, just one after Tokyo Station. The room are very little, but I guess all Tokyo rooms are like that

The good - The only good things were the location and the toiletries.
The bad and ugly - Staff's inability to communicate even with my broken Japanese, the shower is built in such way that it's impossible to take a shower without creating a puddle of water on the floor and the cleanliness level was awful, with a thick layer of dust under the TV and the bed, the pizza restaurant downstairs was either shut during working hours or ran out of food (!!) on the one occasion we wanted to eat there. Also, we accidentally booked a smoking room (be careful, as they stink as hell, as well as the hallway on the floor!) and they weren't flexible with changing it. The wall was peeling, and the walls and curtain were yellow from the smoking.
Been there twice, but NEVER AGAIN!!!

Quaint hotel with friendly staff. The front desk staff speak limited English, but it's enough to check in. Reservations are easily made online and you can select what time you're going to check in. Checkout is at 11am and all you have to do is drop your room cards into a slot box in the lobby just before exiting. The rooms are tiny: just enough to fit a bed,mini fridge, small desk and chair. Amenities are included though, such as body soap, shampoo, conditioner, hair ties, razers, toothbrush + toothpaste, shower caps, room slippers, etc. This place is a short walk to the train station so for the price and convenience I'd definitely stay here again.
