Outlet Hotel UenoEkimae in Tokyo

This restaurant is across the road from Keisei Ueno Shinobazuguchi. It has two names: outlets or kinuya, and it is together with the Internet celebrity cake leftovers. The facilities are relatively old and the soundproofing is not very good. The door lock is a fixed combination. The location is a bit far from the center of Ueno Station. I thought it would be quiet, but I didn't expect it to be very close to Ameyoko. When I walked to the intersection at the entrance of Ueno Park, there were many people and it was quite noisy. The hotel breakfast has Japanese and Western options. There is only one omelette per person and you have to fry it yourself, which is quite embarrassing. Then everyone also has a cake made without any leftovers from an Internet celebrity leftover shop. It is similar to the price of ten yuan a piece in roadside cake shops in China more than ten years ago. The ingredients used are very ordinary and the taste is very ordinary. I don’t understand why it is so popular. The window of the restaurant faces Shinobazu Pond, which is full of lotus leaves and lotus flowers in summer, which is not bad.

Hotel Environment: Located right across from the Ueno Line in Kyoto, it's incredibly convenient. I chose this hotel because I was going to the airport the next day, and it certainly didn't disappoint – very convenient indeed! Ueno Park is right behind the hotel; a walk there in the morning was truly refreshing!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Had a wonderful stay in this hotel . It's right next to Ueno station so location is perfect. Lots of eateries near by. Staff were so friendly we didn't want to leave because they made us feel so welcome. Rooms are of a decent size and are old but are kept very clean every day.
Breakfast was fantastic and again service was fantastic. Right next door to Ueno Zoo too and the park.

The hotel is pretty old and the quality depends on the room you get. The rooms are all spacious though and the service was great. In all, I stayed 10 days here. The best rooms had bidets and many electric plugs and good room amenities. The best thing about this hotel is the god tier location. It is a 3 minute walk from JR Ueno Station and across the street from Keisei-ueno to get you to Narita in 45m max.

Great service and excellent location. The Kinuya Hotel website had an easy to use English booking page. This hotel is a compromise. It has a reasonable price and excellent location (right across the street from the Keisei station where you can pick up the skyliner), but the hotel is old, the bathrooms are small and dated, and my room had a window facing an alley. It was just me traveling and for me I thought it was pretty good considering the positives. If I had my wife with me she would not of liked the hotel. There are some pros and cons with this place, but if I was traveling alone I would stay here again.

Great place with perfectly comfy beds and warm and friendly staff. Superb location for sightseeing and catching the trains in and around Tokyo.
