The basic English was good enough to understand the meaning, and the service was excellent. Especially the meal – they had everything imaginable: oden, tempura, fish fillets, and other small dishes. It had a long history, but everything was very clean, and the environment was very pleasant.

I was quite hesitant when I booked this inn, there were no reviews about this inn, pictures looked a bit old. However, im glad I booked a night stay at this inn. Only the locals stayed at this inn before I guess, it’s such a wonderful stay. A small yet exquisite place, if you ever want to experience the very traditional Japanese lifestyle, you won’t regret spending a night here. From welcoming receptionists to sumptuous breakie, there’s even Onsen too!!! With the price, what more can you expect!

The old-fashioned ryokan is located in a quiet area with a small courtyard. The food I ordered was decent, but you get what you pay for. The facilities were quite old, the cleanliness was average, and the bathhouse was cold as it didn't have heating.

It really is a great place to stay in especially assuming that the place is located in Yokohama. While the commuting time to Tokyo station varies, it normally takes about an hour via subway and train to get to the center of Tokyo. The place is more prepared than you are. The water is very clean and the people here are very polite.

I was traveling alone and stayed here for two nights. Initially, I was worried about the location and safety if I went home late at night, but after staying there, I realized the area is mostly residential with many working people; there were even people walking around at 10:40 pm!

The receptionist was very welcoming and friendly to foreign tourists! I heard from nearby restaurants that this inn has been around for decades and has always had a great reputation 👍

The rooms are traditional Japanese style, which I recommend for those who want to experience a Japanese-style room. There's also an artificial carbonated spring, which I found very helpful for travelers who walk a lot all day!

Finally, this is an inn I highly recommend. If you're traveling between Yokohama and Kamakura, the location is excellent!

We enjoyed the hospitality and attentive service at this traditional ryokan with onsen and excellent breakfasts. Located in a peaceful neighborhood with easy access to public transportation. It was a great find!

It's a place that gives off a strong feeling of "I'm in Japan!!!!". The owner is also kind, and I like the smell of hot springs in the hallway. The tatami floors are full of feeling!!

Excellent reception and were very accommodating. Kind staff and great room, nice Yukata, nice showers and baths, excellent room. Even a nice drinks machine if you are thirsty after closing hours. Great breakfast and within 5 minutes of metro station. Would recommend!

Very traditional ryokan where they put your name at the entrance of the building. Small Japanese garden with fish, a nice hot spring, and a big room.
Friendly stuff + you can order exceptional unagi dinner, but you need to order it in advance, at least 1 day before the actual dinner.

Very close to the subway and city center.

I really enjoyed my stay.
