HOTEL ORIGO HAKATA - Gion -, Fukuoka1 / 11
9.0
Fukuoka, 2-31 Gionmachi, Hakata Ward (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
I was impressed right from check-in. You input your details on an iPad, then a staff member explains the house rules via video call using an interpreter device. In Japan's bustling cities, space is a premium, so while 10 tatami mats (about 16 sqm) isn't huge, the bed is comfortable and the room is clean. It's small but has everything you need, including disposable makeup remover, toner, and lotion...
It’s cheap and worth everything. We enjoyed ourselves as it’s a quiet area too. The only down part was the lack of amenities such as water dispenser, laundry services and others that a pantry should have. So, kindly prepare everything yourselves. I’ll still recommend it! ☺️
The facilities were clean and the bed was spacious, which I really liked. The bathroom was also spotless, and it even had a bidet! They provided a hairdryer, curling iron, toothbrush and toothpaste (two sets!), and plenty of towels. Having all these amenities really helped me pack lighter. However, because the bed was so big, the rest of the living space felt a bit cramped. It was a little tight...
The lighting was a bit dim, which felt a little stifling for us Koreans. The water pressure was weak and it was hard to control the water temperature. However, for Japan, it was quite spacious, which was really great! It was also clean. I think it would be good for a group of 4 friends. And I almost forgot to check out, so I had to go back to the 2nd floor to press the check-out button, haha.
Check-in was a bit tricky, but I was truly satisfied with the accommodation! The temperature was just right, so I slept well! This was a great place!
The facilities are okay, but the location is a bit hard to find, and the soundproofing is terrible. The building vibrates! My upstairs neighbors' noise at home feels like a blessing in comparison. I guess it's a good thing my own house is better now.

It would be better if the schedule were more regular.
I think this would be the best place to stay if only there was ventilation. On the second floor, none of the rooms have windows, and it's a corridor-style building where even the corridor isn't ventilated, so the room itself doesn't get any fresh air. There's also a bar in front of the hotel, so cigarette smoke drifts in. The soundproofing isn't great either. You can get some ventilation if you turn...
Close to Tenjin, and best of all, Don Quijote was nearby which was great. The soundproofing is a bit of a shame though.
The location and facilities were excellent and clean. However, all the rooms were on the first floor and had no windows, making it feel like a basement.
The mattress was very comfortable, the location was excellent, and the shower was also good.
I went there without much expectation because the reviews weren't that good, but it was better than I thought. The only inconvenience was that it wasn't soundproof and there was a bar in the same building, so it smelled like cigarettes. The facilities were fine, and the location was especially great. And the water pressure was great. It would be a good idea to make a reservation when going with a friend

Of the three hotels I stayed at during my trip to Fukuoka, Kumamoto, and Kagoshima, this one was slightly worse. I didn't choose this hotel myself, and I probably wouldn't stay here again if I had the choice. The room being small isn't a surprise, that's typical for Japan. However, the duvet not having a cover, just a sheet separating it, was really off-putting.
The hotel is conveniently located in the Tenjin commercial district, with plenty of ramen shops, convenience stores, and Yoshinoya nearby, making dining very easy. The facilities are quite new, and it offers good value for money.
Excellent, truly excellent! Great location and proper service! This Hong Kong hotel is conveniently located near an MTR station and shopping malls, making transportation very accessible. The room was clean and comfortable, with full amenities. The staff were friendly and efficient, making for an overall good experience. Definitely recommended!
The hotel is located in the city center, about a 10-minute walk from the subway station, making it very convenient for transportation. The room isn't huge, but it perfectly accommodates a family of four (two adults, two children). It also comes with a microwave and a refrigerator, which is really great for families.
Good n clean nice location to go tenjin or hakata by walking also very convenient to travel from airport
The hotel's location is excellent, and the front desk staff are professional and enthusiastic, especially when it comes to luggage storage. It's very reliable; I felt completely at ease leaving my newly purchased luxury bags there. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time.

The location was really good. It was also nice that the room had a view of downtown Fukuoka, and it was close to 7-Eleven and the subway station, which was nice. It was especially close to Kaldi👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻, so it was even better. The bathroom was a bit small, but the room was big, so it was something I could get over.
The room was spacious enough to fit three suitcases. The location was perfect, and the accessibility was excellent. Finally, the owner was incredibly friendly, making my entire trip enjoyable. I would definitely return.
The hotel is located in Tenjin Minami, close to a convenience store and drugstore, making it a convenient walk to Tenjin for shopping. The room itself was a bit shabby, with a particularly small bathroom sink. The front desk service was excellent.
The cleaning staff was horrible.
Cleanliness, friendliness, quietness, and location were all great. I plan to visit again!
The room was bigger and nicer than I expected. There were no outside staff? I think the owner was here. He was friendly and helpful. It was great.

Hotel room is of a good size for luggage no issues. Hotel reception is really friendly and helpful for making meal reservations and guide around. Thanks and hope to be back again.
Hotel Great Morning is incredibly convenient, just a 2-minute walk from Nakasu-Kawabata Station, and getting there from the airport is a breeze. The staff were all very polite and welcoming. The room was surprisingly spacious and very clean, and the bed was just the right firmness for a great night's sleep. It truly lives up to its name, 'Great Morning'! The surrounding area is lively, with street...
The staff were very professional and welcoming. The entire room was incredibly comfortable and clean. It's also very convenient for getting to nearby attractions. This is definitely a highly recommended place to stay!
This hotel is super close to Nakasu-Kawabata Station and right next to Kawabata Shopping Arcade. It's a great spot for shopping and dining. I especially recommend PalDeSol bakery in the arcade! The location is fantastic, and the service is excellent. My room was very clean, and the amenities were high-quality. There are also plenty of good restaurants nearby. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location nearby train station with easy accessible to shopping and food.
I stayed for two nights because I had business at Hakataza Theatre. From a business perspective, the location was very convenient as it was close to Hakataza. On the other hand, getting to Hakata Station or Fukuoka Airport by subway was a bit inconvenient as you had to walk to Nakasu-Kawabata Station before you could get there directly. Although it was old, the room was spacious, the service was good and it was comfortable. It was my first time using it, but I will definitely come back. Thank you very much.
This was my first time staying at this hotel. They were kind enough to explain things I didn't understand, which was very helpful. I'd definitely like to stay here again the next time I go to Fukuoka for a concert or something.
I requested a room with a nice view, but the view was exactly as shown in the photo, which was disappointing.
I used this restaurant because a concert was held at Fukuoka Sunpalace. This time I made a reservation for myself at short notice and there were three rooms available, so I was glad I was able to make a reservation. Although it was a Japanese-style room, it was quite spacious and, even though it wasn't new, it was very clean and tidy. The food was reasonably priced, looked nice, and tasted great. I...
It was a comfortable stay. I wish they would remove the step in front of the toilet. It's scary when your legs hurt.
My family of four stayed overnight in a Japanese-style room at this hotel while we were going to a live concert. It's close to Marine Messe Fukuoka, so we were able to take our time on our trip. The staff were very polite, and the room had separate bathrooms and toilets. Although the toilet was a little small, the room was still spacious enough. 1. It's located in a remote area and high up in the mountains, making it difficult to access without a shuttle or rental car. 2. Perhaps due to a lack of staff, there are many Nepalese staff. Overall, the staff are friendly. The Japanese female staff at the restaurant, who tries to speak a little Korean, is also very helpful. 3. The in-room baths are not kakenagashi-style hot springs, but rather...
We stayed in the special Japanese-style room with a panoramic view of Chikugo Plain. The room and the hotel in general seem old but the view is amazing. The open-air onsen was beautiful but with only 4 spots for showering, it could easily get crowded. Both dinner and breakfast were satisfying with just the right quantity of food. Special mention for the gentleman who served us at dinner - very polite...
The location is on the mountain, quite remote, but close to Daguanyin. But the view is nice. If you choose a private hot spring room. The landscaping is very nice. However, all options include two meals. Somewhat restricted. It would be nice if there was an option to stay overnight. The outdoor and indoor public hot springs are completely separate. For outdoor use, you need to go out of the hotel and...
A classic Japanese Hotel with good service. High private dinning area (individual dinning area for each family). Big room. It is located top on the hill. 190。Wonderful view from the hotel.
The environment feels special on the mountain, the service attitude is very good, and the food ranks are very delicate
Thanks to its location: on top of the hill with breathtaking panoramas, all minor disadvantages just slip away. Pros: River valley views; Authentic "Rotenburo" - open air bath; Room service and of meals. Cons: Free WiFi limited availability - at the lobby only; Early checkout time - 10AM. The room was good considering it was in the center of town, but the beds were not very clean!
Since we went out to play with just guys, the cleanliness was fine and the location of the accommodation was good so we could go out, play, and come back comfortably.
The location is not far from Tenjin Minami, but it takes about 15 to 20 minutes to walk to Nakasu River or Canal City. There is a famous katsu restaurant right in front of the accommodation, and if you walk for about 5 minutes, there is Ichiran Ramen. There is also a Don Quijote on the way, so that was nice. Good. Maybe because my eyesight is bad, I didn't really care about cleanliness.. Check-in was complicated, but it was okay. However, I had to pay the accommodation fee on the day, so it might be a bit difficult if I didn't have a card. There were a lot of beds and the ceiling was high, so it didn't have the stuffiness that is typical of Japanese accommodations, so it was really good!!

I don't know about other rooms, but in our room, when you open the door, you have to go down two stairs to get to the room, and we left our shoes on the stairs. Shoes seem to be prohibited indoors. We didn't receive the check-in information at first, and it took us maybe 30 minutes to find help and communicate with the staff. Everything else was great except this small accident.
The room isn't very big, and there aren't enough chairs or a table for everyone. There's a washing machine, but not enough drying racks. It's about a 7-10 minute walk to the subway station, and having a 7-Eleven nearby is very convenient.
The location is extremely convenient, with easy access to transportation, shopping, convenience stores, drugstores, and even alcohol. It's surprisingly quiet, with three subway stations within a 1-kilometer radius, the nearest being Watanabe-dori Station just over 300 meters away. The location is very close to Hakata Station, about a 10-minute walk. The surrounding area is nice. The room isn't huge, but it's just right for two people, well-equipped, clean, and the bed and pillows are comfortable. The front desk staff are polite, efficient, and speak English. Please note, there's an additional accommodation tax of Y200 per person payable upon check-in.
Location is within walking distance from Hakata station. Room is clean & amenities are great! However the paid breakfast has room to improve…esp on the local dishes where only beef curry is served.
The room was tiny, definitely one of the smallest I've stayed in. There was barely any space on the table, and the hallway was incredibly narrow. You had to pick up toiletries yourself, and the ventilation wasn't great, but at least the air conditioning worked fine.
The hotel's location is good, close to Hakata Station. The breakfast is quite simple, just some bread and the like, which might not suit the taste of many Chinese people.
Very comfortable for solo travelers, the staff are friendly and the room is quite neat too! It's near Lawson and FamilyMart, so if you want a quick late night snack, you can just walk 1-2 minutes from the hotel. 10/10
