Ibusuki Kokoronoyado in Ibusuki

I really loved this Onsen. I made regular use of it and was worth driving down to from Kagoshima City everytime.

There are plenty of baths with varying temperatures, the big.... Tubs or barrels I don't know how to describe them, are particularly relaxing; especially under a clear sky at night.

The steam room was designed very well.

The private rooms are not not overly expensive at all and are worth going to for the hour. There is a basket of rubber ducks in each room but they are not numbered so extra care and concentration must be taken if you are conducting a race of sorts.

The food at the Onsen was good quality. I ate a good many items from the menu (at different times) and was never let down.

And finally.... It has a kick-ass aquarium in the lobby.

I went to the hot springs with my daughter who had come back home for the first time in a while. It was nice to be able to see the starry sky from the open-air bath.
We didn't order a set meal, but ate in the restaurant inside the building, but there were many locals there and the food was delicious, so I could see why it's so popular.
The room was spacious and even had a small table. The price was reasonable, so I was very satisfied.

Stayed a second night and were moved to an older part of hotel. Not a problem, room was spacious and comfortable with a great view.
Would stay again if in the area.

It is a little far from Ibusuki Station.

Guests staying at Kokoro no Yado can use the neighboring Kokoro no Yu baths as many times as they like, but the baths are open until 10pm, so I thought the bath times were shorter than at other hot spring inns.

There are a wide variety of baths, including a jacuzzi and sauna in the indoor bath, a tub bath, a bath where you can use a mud pack, and a carbonated spring where you can watch TV.

None of the baths were too hot, so I liked that I could take my time in them.

On the first day, I had dinner at the inn, and on the second day, I had dinner at the restaurant attached to Kokoro no Yu, and I was satisfied with both.
I recommend the Satsuma gozen and seafood bowl at the restaurant!!

The breakfast didn't change much even after staying for several nights, and only the grilled fish and small dishes changed a little, so I would have liked it if there had been a little more variety. The taste was delicious!

The price is very reasonable and you can enjoy a variety of baths, so I would like to stay here again when I come to Ibusuki.

Although the staff spoke very little English, they were all polite and the food was very nice. The water temperature and pressure was great and the room was clean. There we some Pokémon manhole covers all around Ibusuki which was a fun surprise.

It was comfortable.
I would definitely stay again if there is an opportunity.

Let me start with the conclusion: the hotel is good, but trip.com is bad.

I booked a non-smoking room, but trip.com reported that the hotel had a smoking room. When I checked in, I found that the room smelled very heavy of smoke, so I discussed it with the hotel. At that time, the hotel showed me that the reservation document from trip.com showed a smoking room, which was exactly the opposite of the screenshot of my reservation for a non-smoking room.

The hotel also said that there were no similar non-smoking rooms available and they could only give me a larger double room.

I don't want to take advantage of this. It's obviously trip.com's fault, but the hotel has to bear it. Therefore, I wrote down the experience truthfully. I don’t know whether this review will be published, because I didn’t reply to the online conversation on trip.com at that time, so it was left alone.

Once again, the hotel is very good, but please think carefully about whether you need to book through trip.com.
