Komecho Ryokan, Imabari1 / 26
8.2
Shikoku, Imabari, 1-1-4, Tokiwacho 🧭 Map
Lovely Japanese style room. Toilets and showers were clean. Location was decent, around 10 mins walk to Imabari castle but from Imabari station is around 40 mins walk so would recommend taking a bus there
Love the traditional tatami room. Place is abit old but still comfortable to me. Owner is friendly n prepared nice simple japanese breakfast as early as 6:30am for me.
While searching for accommodations in Imabari, I stumbled upon Komecho Ryokan. The couple were friendly, and they provided complimentary drip coffee and green tea. The rooms were tatami-matted. The bathrooms and toilets were also excellent.
The chabu tea set had tea leaves in a tea caddy, not tea bags. It was delicious. I drank too much and had trouble falling asleep at night, so be careful not to drink too much. The price was also reasonable.
The hotel is located in a place where you can feel the morning and night atmosphere of the port. It's a 1-2 minute walk from Imabari Pier, and there's a parking lot right in front of the hotel for 500 yen for 24 hours. I stayed in a room with a toilet and shower, which was convenient. The hotel is old overall, but the toilets and other amenities have been renovated and are new. I slept very quietly...

Second time I stay there, very functional and near the station.
There were few amenities and there was no power outlet near the pillow so I couldn't charge my smartphone, which was disappointing. The bed was a little soft.
The hotel is great value for money, located right in front of Otemachi Station, and only a 5-minute walk from Matsuyama Station. The check-in receptionist was very friendly and made me feel very warm. Unfortunately, the lack of ventilation on each floor made it incredibly hot and stuffy. Even returning to the room at night, probably due to the western sun, it felt like a steamer. Even the peanut chocolate...
The hotel is conveniently located, just a 10-minute walk from Shin-Matsuyama Station, past the old station. Nearby options include McDonald's, ramen, udon, and donburi. It's also close to the city's train system (essential for getting to Dogo Onsen and Matsuyama Castle). The biggest issue was the hotel elevator, and even the room, which had a musty smell. Luckily, I brought some toilet water, originally...
I booked this hotel at short notice and was worried as the reviews on other sites were not very good, but my fears turned out to be unfounded. The front desk feels a little old-fashioned, but the staff are very friendly and were helpful even when I went out late at night. I stayed on the 8th floor, and the room was just retro-style but was clean everywhere. I don't know if some of the rooms have not...
The latest check-in is at 11pm. Fortunately, the hotel is very close to the airport. You can take the Airport Line bus and walk to JR Matsuyama Station in five minutes. The front desk staff is very friendly. Although they may not speak English very well, they still try their best to express the message they want to convey, which is commendable!

Great area many places to eat. Glad I booked this hotel, never would of found all these awesome restaurants.
The place is perfect. I did not encounter a hardship on my travel because it is so near from train station.
The parking lot on the first floor was unavailable, but there was a paid parking lot nearby so we managed to get by.
The hotel is currently undergoing renovations. I booked a Japanese-style room but was given a twin room. The lobby was dusty and the parking lot was unusable, so I had to park overnight in a public open-air parking lot about a 5-minute walk away. The room had just been renovated, and the carpet and bed were practically new, but the room was quite small.
The hotel is located in Shikokuchuo City, just two minutes from the nearest JR station! Drivers are also super convenient—all of Shikoku's capitals are within about an hour's drive! The hotel is well-equipped, the rooms are clean, and the upper floors offer panoramic views of Shikokuchuo City. There's also a 24-hour convenience store right at the entrance of the hotel—perfect for late-night snacks...
JR Iyo Mishima Station walk about 2-3 minutes to this hotel, very convenient and easy to find, nearby 7-11 and shopping street, sound insulation is average, attached microwave, you can buy Ding Ding food at night

The building's age is unavoidable, but the room and other areas are very clean, with the only disappointment being the window frames. However, condensation occurs during this season and stains the frames, so it can't be helped. The inexpensive breakfast is sufficient for us middle-aged people. It's delicious. The complimentary curry served with dinner is also delicious. It's a great option when you...
There were some dirty areas, but I thought it was good enough for just sleeping. Thank you very much.
Did the job for the price and was about as expected for the cost. The bed was not the best but good enough. There was no hand soap and the shower was small, although clean.
I was very satisfied with the free night curry. I would like to stay again next time, but the parking lot on the first floor is small.
It was very good. I was also very satisfied with the service from the front desk. There were no parking spaces available, but they kindly told me I could park in the shopping district.
It was worth the money I spent. In short, I'm satisfied👍👍

Shikoku, Takamatsu, Jotocho 2-12-3 🧭 Map
It is located in a very quiet place and is right in front of the beach, so I was able to rest while enjoying a great ocean view.
I'm with a friend, but it's enough for two people and it's good.
It's a love hotel, but if you don't mind, it's good value for money. They also have a wide variety of room service menus. It's a hassle to pay cash like you would for delivery, but the food is relatively delicious.
The room is large and comfortable, and the breakfast with an extra charge of 300 is worth it. If you don't mind the sex shop next to it, this place is much better than the small and pitiful business hotels in the city.
The toilet's washlet was broken and leaked. I had to wipe the floor myself. The tank was not properly maintained and water was not being supplied. I told them when I was leaving, but they did not offer me a refund.
The hotel is located by the sea and is not very close to the bustling area. It is also convenient to walk to Katahara Town in 10 minutes. The room has a large interior space, a good view, and complete internal facilities, including small toiletries and skin care products. Breakfast is delivered to the room, and the meal is a bit simple.

The facilities were old and dilapidated, the beds were uncomfortable, the pillows were hard, the service was mediocre, and there was no basic drinking water.
Our family of four arrived at 8:30 PM, and the hotel and nearby restaurants were already closed. The front desk called a restaurant a 10-minute walk away to reserve a table for us, extending our stay, and even arranged a hotel shuttle to take us there. We said we didn't need the shuttle back, as we could walk back to the hotel and stargaze along the way. After dinner, around 10 PM, we went to the hot...
Old-fashioned hot spring hotel. A very traditional Japanese-style hotel; the food is decent, and the rooms are clean.
Was visiting Otaki-ji. Not too many choices around town. Nevertheless, this is a nice stay. The only problem was that the hotel does not provide meals if you didn’t choose to include when booking. The nearest place for dinner is a 10min walk, not too bad though.

In any case, the building was old and smelled dusty. There were very few electrical outlets, so I couldn't use the hair iron in front of the mirror, so I had to buy an extension cord at a convenience store. The futon was small. There wasn't much food in the evening. The toilet was small. Breakfast was good. The public bath was also good. The people at the inn were nice.
There are many restaurants within walking distance of the hotel location, which is very convenient. The breakfast at the hotel is delicious, and the bathhouse is comfortable and spacious.
The room I stayed in was very clean and tidy. There is a TV, free wifi, the bathroom is very clean, the hardware facilities are first-class, and the service is very good. I will definitely stay here again in the future.
It was a good location on foot from Kochi Station. The Japanese-style room was also very nice, and it felt like the fatigue of the trip was relieved by the hot spring. If I come to Kochi next time, I want to stay

Perfektes Hotel. Very good service. Good stay also for henros. I will come Back soon
The breakfast is a Japanese set meal, which is very exquisite and delicious. We stayed in a Japanese-style room, which was spacious and comfortable with tatami. There was also a small entrance hall with a shoe cabinet, which was very convenient. The hotel lobby is European in style, with a bit of a classical feel, giving people a high-end feel. Good hotel service The front desk service is very good and willing to solve all problems. The hotel has a coin-operated washing machine. Remember to bring your own laundry detergent. The parking lot is large and no reservation is required. There is no convenience store nearby where you can walk to buy things. It is suitable for driving. Smalles onsen we ever experience … all amenities is dated.  Time to upgrade !!! For the amenities and facilities … it’s super over price.  The dinner was just a pack food and cup noodle.  Oh my !!
Staff is very nice and helpful
There were not many amenities. It would have been nice to have some cotton or a hair tie. The hair dryer was weak and took a long time to dry. I wish it had a bit more airflow. I stayed for two nights, and on the first night I went to the front desk to get a towel, saying, "I want one more towel in addition to the ones provided." When I returned to my room the next day, there was an extra towel waiting...
If the cost of accommodation in Qinping is similar, there should be a better choice! The hot springs and breakfast are not good, and they are far from the promotional photos! You can see the river outside the room window, and if you light up the yellow lanterns next to it, it’s a bonus!
It's too hot and the air conditioning is not very powerful. Try not to go on Sunday, the price is serious
The service was good. However, the bathroom had no ventilation and smelled moldy, so I think it would be better to use the large communal bath. There were restaurants nearby, so the location was good.

We were plenty surprised with the hotel and its facilities after a long ride up. It is a beautiful property nestled in the mountains and is the best stay we ever had in Japan!
The hot spring was also very pleasant and I was able to relax. The steak at dinner was quite fatty, so perhaps it would have been better cooked medium or better? I was very full. I recommend this place for a relaxing, leisurely stay.
Fantastic stay here, look forward to next time.
Enjoyable stay. Very nice food but style. gets repetitious after a couple of meals.
Anyway the food is great. The people working there are wonderful, and it's nice to be able to choose your food if you stay for a long time. The room is a little dated. The walls are not white. There is a desk, but it is an integral type of dresser, and my back hurts when I work at the desk for a long time. I can work to some extent, but it hurts that there is no safe or TV. I stayed here while on a pilgrimage. The bathtub in the room was very small, so the private bath was very helpful. There was also a coin laundry and free bicycle rentals, and it was great that it was close to the station.
It's very convenient as it's very close to Kochi Station. The hotel has a retro atmosphere that makes you feel like you've traveled back in time to the Showa era. The bathroom in the room was also clean. The manga section had a very extensive lineup, with almost all of the latest hits.
The facilities are old, but they are well-maintained and comfortable. The staff are very kind and I was very satisfied with the service. I recommend it.
Super friendly and helpful Reception staff made the stay here very relaxing. Good clean rooms with A/C, big comfortable beds and a coin laundry make it an ideal stay, especially for walking Henro. Very good value.
Los Inn was a decent place for a reasonable price (¥4200/night), we stayed with four in a room with 2 beds and 2 futon. The room itself wasnt that big but it was spacious enough for us to not feel crammed up. The bathroom was very small though, with a toilet, sink, and bath(with shower). It's very conveniently located right in front of the station. The room was well-cleaned, and the bed was good and comfortable. I would like to use it again.
The air conditioner in the room has no cooling function, only heating. It's too hot, and the window can't be opened. It's too close to the road and very noisy. It's ok except for the breakfast.
It is the largest room I have stayed in in Japan, and the location is also good. I recommend staying here
Hotel is in front of JR Kochi Station. Location is very strategic. We booked twin bed and the room is quite big. This is one of the best (3 star hotel) that we stayed when we visit shikoku area.
The location is very good, just opposite Kochi Plaza, you can see it when you look up. The room facilities are good and the price/performance ratio is very high. The only drawback is that the central air conditioning can't be turned off, there is noise, and it's too hot to sleep in the middle of the night

The room wasn't large, but it was well-laid out, and the provided loungewear was very comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here for one night after a two-day cycling trip.
I made a reservation to visit Oyamazumi Shrine on Omishima Island for my first shrine visit of the year. We arrived shortly after arriving on the island. The location offers beautiful views of the ocean and bridge, and the scenery is amazing! As it was New Year's, the closures of nearby restaurants were uncertain, but they kindly explained the situation to me and I tried to choose from available options...
The scenery was nice, and the room was clean and tidy, but there were no Chinese introductions, and the entire hotel lacked Chinese signage. The windows weren't heat-insulating either. I hope these improvements will be made next time.
The hotel is located a short ride ahead from the Totolombo Bridge. The entire hotel has a great design, and the staff speaks excellent English, making communication very easy. I stayed here before starting cycling on the Shimanami Kaido. The location was superb, near both the JR station and bike rental station so it’s very good choice for biker. Their breakfast also great as well.
Make sure you keep the air purifier and ac turned on and running because I turned it off and I woke up nauseous, dizzy, and heart rate raised. I raised concerns but the front desk said there’s nothing they can do since they can’t change rooms :/
We were told that the onsen was closed. Which must have been a misunderstanding, as we used it later and it was great. Got a nice welcome drink - even though it was form the machine, it was a nice gesture. Location was perfect next to the train station and not far from the Henro pilgrimee temple

The observation bath was very pleasant. My room was next to the elevator so the noise was a bit annoying, but other than that I had a pleasant stay.
A good budget option for use as a base to explore this part of Shikoku. Unfortunately, the air conditioning caused a sore throat which went away over the course of the day, then returned the next morning after sleeping with it on! I stayed here for a business trip. I have been using the Town Group for a long time. The staff are very friendly and I learn a lot from their efforts to keep costs down. The room's modern Japanese-Western style was excellent. I particularly liked the flooring in the changing room of the large communal bath. The food was Western-style and very good. The alcohol prices were reasonable. The bathhouse also had a sauna, which was enjoyable.
