I really enjoyed experiencing the Japanese hospitality culture.
Both the open-air bath (rotenburo) and the meals were delicious. The only reason I deducted one star is because after staying, I noticed a lot of dust in the morning, which I assume is characteristic of tatami mats.
I highly recommend the breakfast, and if you have time, try the tangerine juice at the main branch. The hot spring water...
This hotel's location and service are truly impeccable. Aside from the fact that it's a bit of a climb to the shopping street below, everything else is incredibly convenient. It also feels like a paradise, especially with the two-meal package.
Reservations for the public bath or private bath downstairs are recommended.
There's a surprise just outside the large bathhouse; be sure to drink it afterward
Very nice place. Amazing onsen inside. Staff english friendly.
The rooms are spacious and clean. The large public bath is pleasant, and the baths in the rooms are also satisfactory. Major tourist attractions are within walking distance.
Convenient location, friendly staff, nice hotel rooms, delicious food
This is a place I want to go back to.
If I had the money, I would stay there for a whole month.
It was such a happy experience.
The staff were friendly, the hot springs were great, and the room condition was great.
It was the most impressive place during my trip to Matsuyama.

Thanks for thr service
A quality business-class hotel located in Tokushima near the Bizen Ropeway and the Bizan Tenjinsha Shinto Shrine, just a short ten minute walk from JR Tokushima Station. During my stay, I enjoyed a lovely view of Mount Bizen and a few blocks of Tokushima, close in to shopping and restaurant districts. The room was quiet and comfortable and as always offered the same alpha-One commitment to quality...
There's a long staircase leading to the entrance, with no elevator signs.
Only after checking in did I realize the elevator is located in the parking lot, near the entrance.
All necessary amenities are available.
The power supply requires a unique method: you need to insert a key into a rectangular cylinder to access the power.
Every time I return from an outing, I have to restart the air conditioner...
The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the station. There are many sightseeing spots around the hotel, including cruise ships and ropeways. The extremely popular Todai Ramen is just a 3-minute walk away, and I was also interested in Shinmachi Onsen, which is right in front of the hotel. Between the station and the hotel, there are plenty of cafes, cake shops, convenience stores, and more.
So far so good,
Less restaurants around the hotel
Set Breakfast, Japanese style, not buffet
It's about a 10-minute walk from Tokushima Station. There are plenty of places to eat and have fun around the hotel, which made it even better. The hotel itself was spacious and pleasant for a business hotel. I'd love to stay here again!

We stayed one night in an indoor camping room with our family. It was fantastic!
Of course, it's not the same as real camping, but it was incredibly fun. The concept room was full of camping atmosphere. The huge tent with four beds felt like a secret base, and the indoor planetarium and hammock added to the ambiance. The kids were fighting over the hammock!
I was engrossed in the telescope. The terrace...
I stayed at this inn in early December while cycling around Shikoku.
The price was extremely reasonable at just under 8,000 yen per night, including breakfast. It even had a large public bath and sauna, which I thought was quite impressive for the price.
After checking in, I was shown to a Japanese-style room with approximately 8 tatami mats in size, equipped with basic amenities like a TV, water...
We stayed on the first day of a three-day weekend.
A beautiful sandy beach and the sea stretch out right in front of us.
Those who chose the BBQ plan can enjoy their meal while looking at the beautiful sea.
We stayed as a family of two adults and two children, and the room was spacious enough. Unusually for a hotel, there were screens on the windows, so we were able to fall asleep listening to the...
Beachfront hotel with nice views and nice food.
The scenery was great and the rest was normal.
We also have a day trip hot spring, so it was crowded with local uncles and grandfathers. And noisy.
For dinner, I ordered a sashimi set meal with a system that selects a set meal, but the content was simple and I wasn't hungry, so I ordered a bukkake udon for 500 yen later.
An inn with a pleasant view of Setouchi where the sound of the waves is comfortable.
You can also enjoy a spa in the adjacent Qua Thalassa.

I stayed here while on a pilgrimage. The bathtub in the room was very small, so the private bath was very helpful. There was also a coin laundry and free bicycle rentals, and it was great that it was close to the station.
It's very convenient as it's very close to Kochi Station.
The hotel has a retro atmosphere that makes you feel like you've traveled back in time to the Showa era. The bathroom in the room was also clean.
The manga section had a very extensive lineup, with almost all of the latest hits.
The facilities are old, but they are well-maintained and comfortable. The staff are very kind and I was very satisfied with the service. I recommend it.
Super friendly and helpful Reception staff made the stay here very relaxing. Good clean rooms with A/C, big comfortable beds and a coin laundry make it an ideal stay, especially for walking Henro. Very good value.
Los Inn was a decent place for a reasonable price (¥4200/night), we stayed with four in a room with 2 beds and 2 futon. The room itself wasnt that big but it was spacious enough for us to not feel crammed up.
The bathroom was very small though, with a toilet, sink, and bath(with shower). The thing that sucks up the heat wasn't that strong so the warmth of your shower was lingering around for a while...

The reception staff were very pleasant.
The room cleaning was also meticulous and good.
On the other hand, when it came to the food at the breakfast buffet, only the plates were replenished when they ran out, and there seemed to be a shortage of glasses, so the missing dishes remained empty.
I think they could do with a more balanced training for the staff.
As the reception was very nice, I look forward...
The hotel was easily accessible to Dogo Onsen, and the food was of very high quality and delicious. The souvenir corner was also well stocked. Even after checking out, they kept our suitcases for us, so we were able to explore the surrounding area without any problems.
The Western-style room was a bit like a business hotel. The location is good. The front desk was good. The woman at the convenience store at night was the worst. The bath was small, but the water was good. I stayed for two nights, and the first night was below average, while the second night was pretty good. There is a difference. I was very satisfied with the second night's level. Maybe it was because...
This is a great value hotel near Dogo Onsen.
Valet parking was convenient.
While the exterior was a bit dated, the onsen was in good condition and the rooms were clean.
Breakfast was also served promptly.
The hotel entrance is slightly sloped, and there are stairs from the entrance to the reception, which could be a bit challenging for elderly guests.
Other than that, it was a great experience, worthy...
Old fashioned hotel with a great location. Good service. Japanese style breakfast. Very calm.
It's hidden in a small alley so it's easy to miss. Other than that, there's nothing to complain. Rooms were comfortable. The service was EXCELLENT! They helped us with the luggages ( that made me feel really guilty!) and car parking. The counter also nicely explained nearby tourist spots and detailed maps were provided. The third floor accommodates a family of five or more. The hallway-style bathroom, sink, and bathroom are great! The breakfast was especially delicious. The kids each had two bowls. Haha.
The tangerines they gave us for dessert were sweet and delicious.

The owner of the inn was incredibly kind and gave us some excellent recommendations for local shops and places to check out. Thank you so much!
Host was super nice and friendly.
Location was great, just next to onsen and shopping street.
The location is fantastic, very close to the train station, making travel incredibly convenient. There's also a beautiful shrine with scenic views right next door. It was my first visit to Nakajima, and I made a hasty decision to stay alone out of curiosity, but I was pleasantly surprised by the location. The sea is in front of me, and I was impressed that it took less than 1 minute to get to the beach and 10 seconds to the beach. A very cost-effective hotel in downtown Takamatsu, about a 15-minute walk from the pier.
Facilities: The hotel is quite old, so the facilities are relatively dated. It's also a hot spring hotel, with a large, relaxing bath.
Cleanliness: While the facilities are a bit dated, the room was generally clean.
Service: The front desk clerk was very welcoming, and the breakfast was a typical Japanese breakfast...
I was randomly assigned a two-bed room. The hotel is older so there is a slight odor on some floors. The hot springs are very hot and soothing. It is a 20-minute walk from Takamatsu Port along Hyogo-dori. Breakfast is Japanese and drinks are provided.
I was worried because the ratings weren't high...
I was completely satisfied. For this price, I think I'll always stay here during my trips to Takamatsu. Highly recommended!!
Meals are provided for one person at the restaurant attached to the hotel on the first floor.
There's a hot spring and sauna, and it wasn't bad. The Wi-Fi was great. The breakfast was delicious and included yogurt. The location was decent. The room was very spacious. There's a convenience store nearby.
It is worth for the price. It has everything including a hot spring, but it's old and smells a little.
Room was massive. I booked the Japanese style room. Mini fridge was de icing on wood so there was a puddle.

The location is in front of Koubaitei, so there's a noticeable difference in status, but I decided to stay there considering the price. The room is like a school field trip room. There are many rooms, and they're almost touching. It's not a hotel that ordinary people would usually use.
The meal is home-style cooking with about five dishes. It's far too much food to finish.
It seemed like a couple...
I visited in October 2011. I checked in a little early, but I was greeted warmly. The bath was open until 10pm, so I was pushed to take a bath earlier, which was a little funny. As others have said, the landlady has a certain charm, but I thought it was good.
The building was old, but it was clean and comfortable.
The rice was so voluminous that even junior high school students left it. Kagawa rice was plump and delicious.
It was close to Konpira-san pilgrimage, and it was a reasonable inn, so I would like to use it again.
There is a little distance from Konpira-san.
The bath was a hot spring and it was a nice bath, but the men's bath was a little narrow.
The parking lot is quite far away.
The room was clean, but the walls were thin, and I was worried about the sound of opening and closing the door in the next room.
The meal features chicken and udon. How about igniting the solid fuel just before sitting? The udon recommended...
Depending on how you feel about the landlady's character, you'll either like it or hate it (the Kagawa dialect should sound pretty rough).
I wouldn't say the inn is super clean, but it's not dirty either.

The food is good, but it could be a little simpler (even if you force yourself to include sashimi, you don't need it because you...
Couldn't praise the owners enough! We recieved a very warm welcome to this family run hotel. The property itself is adequate (2.5/5) but it is the hosts that really make staying here such a comforting experience. Staying here is a must for those hoping to get a taste of real Japan. The perfect place to relax during my pilgrimage. Beautiful room with a sea view.
It was so nice that I could take a bath. I plan to come back again.
Authentic Japanese onsen hotel by the sea. We appreciated both our private bath and large public bath with several pools indoors and outdoors. Location is further away from busy Matsuyama city and we enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere of Hojo area.
This is a great place to stay. They offer a discounted "henro price" that makes a room around 6000 yen a night.

I stayed here the night before climbing Mount Kamegamori. I drove there, but it was convenient because there was a large parking lot even though it was located in front of the station. I think the parking fee was only 200 yen. It was good value for money.
I was surprised at how cheap it was. I used it to save money on a trip with friends, so I recommend it for people who don't have much money but still want to have fun.
The ladies at the reception are very kind.
It was a shame that the table and TV remote in the room were dirty.
The hotel's location was fantastic, right in the heart of the city. However, the rest of the experience was just average. The rooms were clean but quite basic, and the service was a bit slow at times. While it was a convenient place to stay, I wouldn't say it was anything special.

The location is truly excellent. It's less than a 5-minute walk from Kotoden Kataharamachi Station. The bustling downtown area is just a minute away, and the port is a little over a 10-minute walk. I had a comfortable stay.
Parking cost 1,000 yen at the hotel's affiliated parking lot.
If you look around, you might find a cheaper paid parking lot nearby, but since it's a multi-story parking lot, I think it's a price to pay for peace of mind.

Front desk staff exceeded my expectations, in kindness, helpfulness and professionalism. Convenient location and very pleasant hotel with Japanese style rooms.
I arrived at Kochi in the evening with no hotel reservation. Every hotel I checked, both online and in person, was sold out. My last chance was to check in person at the Hotel Takasago Hotel, which it turned out to be fully booked as well. But the Front Desk helped me to find a hotel with availability by calling several of them in Japanese. When they could not find one for me, to extend their help...
I visited this hotel as a place to stay while traveling.
Apart from the location, it was honestly the worst...
First of all, it was hard to find the parking lot.
Even if I asked my companion where it was, they didn't even give me any directions.
They just said, "It's on the west side."
Don't they usually guide me to some extent?
Even if I managed to park, I couldn't get my car out once I parked...
The queen size bed was very good. It was within walking distance to Hirome Market and Sunday Market. There is a 7-Eleven right in front of the hotel, which is convenient. Don't expect too much from the bath.
This hotel is in a great location, especially to the train station and shops. The concierge gave a professional and friendly welcome. The room I had (on the 4th floor, corner overlooking the street) was very appointed and very quiet. The bed was comfortable, making for a nice sleep and restful stay. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend if you're visiting Kochi city.
The check in staff was able to give details of hotel in English.
Room was clean (quad room, large, mix of twin bed plus futons).
Dinner and breakfast were kaiseki style and was tasty and adequate.
Indoor public bath was not large but it had nice amenities.
About 1 km walk to Hirome Market.

Second time I stay there, very functional and near the station.
There were few amenities and there was no power outlet near the pillow so I couldn't charge my smartphone, which was disappointing. The bed was a little soft.
The hotel is great value for money, located right in front of Otemachi Station, and only a 5-minute walk from Matsuyama Station. I booked this hotel at short notice and was worried as the reviews on other sites were not very good, but my fears turned out to be unfounded.

The breakfast was nice. A large range of choices.
The price-to-performance ratio is good, but the bed and pillows are very uncomfortable. However, it is worth it. Don Quijote is nearby, and there is a yakiniku restaurant and Okaido Street next door, so the location is the best. The bathhouse uses hot spring water, but it has a lot of water, so it has a slight hot spring smell. But it was still good.
The room was bigger than I thought. I don't know why there was a sofa, lol.
Breakfast was delicious.
The public bath was nice, too.
Overall, I am satisfied. The location is good because it is close to the city center, there is a large bath so you can relieve fatigue, and the breakfast is good value for money. If you use it without cleaning service, they will refund 600 yen. The ramen in the vending machine in the lounge is cheaper than at the convenience store.
I used a single room for one night on a business trip. The price is reasonable and the room is not large, but I think it is of sufficient quality in terms of facilities and location.
Personally, it was good that there was a large communal bath. The breakfast buffet was a style that decides the usage time at check-in, probably to avoid crowding of users.

The stag were so welcoming in my arrival, remembering me from a few weeks ago when I stayed 2 nights. They had already organised a vegetarian Japanese breakfast for me.

Although the facility has a Showa-era feel, it was very clean and comfortable.
Noisy Japanese male groups didn't close the door and keep talking loud even in midnight. Closing doors without holding the handles was really loud and disturbing at 12am. I understand it was a nice time to hang out with friends but should shut the doors to let other customers rest properly. Do not choose the option with room chosen by the hotel.
The perfect hotel for those who love retro sensibility. The breakfast is also great, and you are lucky enough to be able to relax in the large public bath.

Great location, right next to Dogo onsen and shopping street. a point taken out as we couldn't park at the hotel and hard to park up a steep hill. Okay for us since we only stayed one night and was planning to sightsee by foot but would be a problem if we need to go back and forth between hotel and parking. No onsen on premise but we didn't mind. The hotel is clean and comfortable but a bit dated.
Great hotel, the location is perfect as it is close to the dogo onsen and shopping streets.
They provide yukata to go to the onsen.
I highly recommend.
Nice room and bed.
Lovely staff.
Location / price performance was amazing.
Solid internet connection.
Negative points:
800 yen a day for parking
Microwave on the smoking floor.
Not enough to warrant knocking a star off.
Great hotel with location right across the historical Dogo Onsen and adjacent shopping streets. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are older but very clean and well-maintained.
Great experience all around, from proximity to Dogo Onsen and surrounding area, ambiance inside, view (even though it wasn't overlooking Dogo Onsen), to room size (larger than typical business hotel), breakfast (typical Japanese fare, but highest quality taste I have had), check out time (11:00), and staff efficiency and English ability.
Despite Dogo Onsen being a leisure area, so more enjoyment is...
The front desk staff and the breakfast staff were very polite and the food was delicious, so I was able to relax and enjoy my time there. The cake in the restaurant was very filling and delicious. I only had one unpleasant experience. When I was leaving, there was a staff member organizing the poles with triangular numbers written on them in the parking lot. I was happy that I had a comfortable stay...
