I was fotunate to book the renovated room, it was surely good, the AC is the only issue as it takes time to cool the room, also faced a small issue with the plugs next to the bed, they tend to disconnect after some time and you have to remove the card and reinstert it again, the breakfast area had a good buffet and nice seating area ( indoor and outdoor ) room service sometimes take time to attend...

By CONS can be attributed to one of the towels are very 'tired' and one pillow case outright, a small hole - this is the issue of quality control in this direction

Location is great, within short distance from great cafes and restaurants. Hotel room is nice and clean.

WiFi is strong enough for remote working videocalls, works even in the garden. Club lounge on the terrace floor is kind of quiet with weird rules about alcohol, but the food is tasty

The Sunset bar behind the hotel offers tasty shisha (hookah, Kalyan). Full offer room service, also during the night hours. Friendly staff, opposite of a park

Well, it's the Rixos. It's quiet ,neat , pleasant. A good Spa area. In the same Rixos Gorki Gorod -will be more abruptly .however, there is good.

The hotel is one of the (maybe, the?) greatest hotels in Almaty. The territory is just huge with golf courses, a big pond, lots of trees and paths to walk. Rooms are top-notch and cleaning is always high-quality

The only downside is the trip from the airport, which in rush hour may take you 2 hours or more. However, what we did was going to Almaty downtown, having dinner at a restaurant there and after that getting to the hotel

You can actually spend a couple of days just being there relaxing. This was my 2nd visit to this property in the last 6 months and is in my itenary once every year to experience Almaty and Swissotel

The room was big and bed and covers were amazing. Everyone was very nice and friendly. It is put of town, so away from a lot of things. The breakfast was great and in room service good as well

All the people working here - whether on reception or in room service or restaurant - work perfectly. They answer all the questions and solve all the issues professionally

It is very close to the president's palace, 1 mall is very close, 2nd one two more malls are not too far away. There is a good park close to the hotel as well

The front-desk service was excellent, fluent English and smooth communication. On my first day they even helped me sort out small change for a taxi and provided useful sightseeing tips

Rooms are super clean and comfortable, and having an espresso machine is a nice bonus. A shopping mall is nearby, and the city center is just a short taxi ride away, which makes the location really convenient

The hotel easy and great located to reach everything by walking or by scooter. The rooms are still in nice condition. I don’t like carpet in hotel rooms and it looks already used

Cafe, coffee-break, a little uncomfortable. In the lobby you can sit, talk , 2 computers, which is very convenient for visitors and guests. The only drawback - a terrible draft!!! This is incredible

I extended my stay for another night, and I must commend the hotel's thoughtfulness. The breakfast was quite good, but because I'm lactose intolerant, I got diarrhea after drinking milk

When I asked if the hotel had any medication, they first checked if I was allergic to it before giving me the medicine. They were very considerate and attentive

There's no door lock (latch or chain), and the switch on the lock doesn't prevent hotel staff from accessing the room. Waking up to a service representative walking around the room is a real experience

I encountered this after the first night, and I've since put up a "do not disturb" sign. If your room isn't cleaned in the morning, for any reason, it won't be cleaned that day without your reminder

The valve is difficult to remove, but it can be done. The faucet in the bathtub has no pressure, allowing for a good body wash, but washing your hair is extremely difficult

Lovely stay at this clean, conveniently located hotel right near Hakata train station. The staff were friendly and helpful and it’s a great location to use as a base for walking the city or using public transport

I had a very nice stay there and have a nice experience too. My laundry was hung at the balcony and who knows the strong wind blew them all off. The security man there really help me to look for all my clothes

He really went looking under the cars, at the grass patches, everywhere. Once at night and once in the morning, I managed to get back some of my clothes. Temur, if I got his name correct

Well located hotel in the center of Almaty across the opera house. I was saying in one of the refurbished rooms and it was very nice. There are many restaurants around the hotel. The buffet breakfast has a wide selection

The only downside is that breakfast starts only at 7:00 on weekdays and at 8:00 during weekends. In my view it should start at 6:00 every day. If I come back to Almaty again I will consider staying at this hotel

the hotel is located centrally, you can easily walk to see some things within the city also near to bus station and to panfilov area, i opt for late check out so i pay half of the room rate, and they let me check out 6pm? i paid for half rate then check out at 6pm? i talk to the receptionist that i will check out at 8pm, he said okay but they called that i cant and i will pay full amount if i didnt...

The room is similar to that in China in the 1990s. The equipment is old and average. It is mainly a hotel for foreigners. There is a lady at the front desk who speaks simple Chinese. The breakfast is rich and tastes good

Green and healthy food is not available in China. There are many rooms with double beds. It is suitable for business trips. The front desk collected 3500 tourism tax, which is collected separately

The location is good, there is a parking lot, and there are dense business districts around. The breakfast is average, and the price does not match the room facilities

500 per night is not worth the price, but the front desk service is good and the hygiene is OK. It's just too old and can't be compared with domestic ones

The Doubletree Almaty is rather new hotel with outdated hotel rooms. However, the excellent breakfast choices, the best hotel gym I have ever been to and a very well spa facility made the stay very memorable

It was -16 degrees Celsius outside, but the room was only 15 degrees and there was no underfloor heating. They eventually provided a heater, but I still couldn't sleep well at night

On the 14th floor in this place is a great meeting hall. This room hosts many conferences. Good ventilation, a high-speed Elevator, the scene in the hall.

It clearly states check-in is after 2 PM, but they forced me to pay for an extra night because I arrived at 12 AM. What's the point? It feels like a scam. And then they demand check-out by 12 PM

The hotel is in a good location, room is clean abit smaller than when i stayed in holiday inn express but still able to put 2 luggages in the room. The breakfast spread is very good. Plenty of food to keep you full

I was in in Oct 2025, it was only half full when i went for breakfast (i stayed for 2 nights). Breakfast is served 7am to 10am. Just be smart about the timing if you feel the hotel is full

The dining area is abit small but there is still enough tables to serve at least 30 people. I think others who complaint about this probbaly came during summer or peak season

Also i took picture of the aircond because someone else also mentioned, the aircond light is bright which is true. And we could not switch it off since it was not the original remote controller
