Spa-Hotels in Almaty

Had a very comfortable stay at Rixos Hotel. The breakfast was plentiful, and the environment and location were both great.

An older hotel, which is not a bad thing. Breakfasts were fantastic. Our family had a negative experience with check in, cleanliness and safety in our room, and we had to address these matters with a manager. It’s obvious they need to deal with service quality when they make mistakes and get to a point where safety and customer satisfaction are priority.

The room was decent. The ambiance and service were both average.

The lobby and the surrounding area are very nice.

The hotel is old and quite run-down.

The breakfast offered a wide selection.

First time in Almaty, and choosing this hotel really elevated my entire trip experience. First off, the front desk staff had excellent English, so communication was a breeze. Secondly, both the hot spring and breakfast far exceeded my expectations. The hotel views were also fantastic. The only downside is its slightly out-of-the-way location, which means taxi rides can be a bit long.

Great location, amazing nature. Loved the trees and huge territory to walk. Nice “quarter” restaraunt. Bowls there are must try

Extremely satisfied! The facilities are comprehensive, and the service is excellent. You absolutely must try the pool and sauna. A special shout-out to the bartender who, even though I was the only one there late at night, still made me a drink and brought me snacks. My two-day stay became even more perfect after it snowed. The breakfast had a good variety and was of high quality. A truly perfect vacation

Everything was great, but the air conditioning and heating didn't quite cut it, making the room a bit cold.

Overall hotel was very nice. The room was big and bed and covers were amazing. Everyone was very nice and friendly. It is put of town, so away from a lot of things. The breakfast was great and in room service good as well. The last evening, there were kids using hallway as playground which didnt allow to relax, but overall everything else was very good. Would stay there again.

We had a wonderful relaxing mini-break there with my family. This was our second stay at the hotel and the rooms, the food, the amenities and the service were all superb. The spa facilities were the highlight of the stay, with multiple indoor and outdoor pools and saunas. A special shoutout to Denis, who is the resident personal trainer at the gym there. He is super knowledgeable and helpful. He kindly...

I extended my stay for another night, and I must commend the hotel's thoughtfulness. The breakfast was quite good, but because I'm lactose intolerant, I got diarrhea after drinking milk. When I asked if the hotel had any medication, they first checked if I was allergic to it before giving me the medicine. They were very considerate and attentive.

It's nice, at the foot of the mountain.

The hotel is in a good location with spacious rooms. The level of service doesn't match the stated level. The bathroom is in terrible condition. The drain in the shower stall is clogged, and it's not fixed during cleaning. The shower faucet closes under its own weight, requiring a hand to hold it in place. You can shower in the bathtub, but the drain blocking valve is damaged, and the shutoff mechanism...

Facilities: Old facilities Cleanliness: Very good Environment: Excellent natural environment and decor Service: Average, inefficient

Clean hotel, but dull and dark. Services are okay.

First room was smell bad of smoke even though my booking was non smoking room . They gave me other room was good after i complained. I think hotels used to give worst room who booked through trip.com . It happened in my previous trip in Bali.

Staff were very helpful, kind, caring, professional and supportive. Definitely recommend to others, positive experience.

It was an exceptional experience, from the beginning to the end. Amazing staff, spotless room and very good service. Thank you guys!

Amazing hotel, great customer service, good food, excellent all round, highly recommended

Very nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The room was excellent, the food 😋good. I will return and make use of the spa and gym facilities as they were not open on my stay due to having work completed. Overall a very pleasant stay with staff who go out of their way to make your stay worthwhile- 👍🙂🙂

The hotel environment is clean and quiet, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the bedding is spotless. The service is warm and efficient. Its excellent location makes getting around easy, and the amenities are complete. It offers great value for money and is perfect for business travelers.

Everything is excellent with nice stuffs, clean room, good breakfast. The hotel is located really near the subway station.

The surrounding scenery changes with the seasons. The Almaty Hotel is conveniently located, clean, and has a great environment. From the room's balcony, you can see the snow-capped mountains 🏔, and waking up to that view feels wonderful and very relaxing. The breakfast is also good.

Our 2 nights stay in this hotel is pretty good, location is also very convenient. Just 5mins walk to a 24hrs supermarket, Almaly subway Pubs and some eatery like Rumi which is their popular local food chain. Rooms are comfortable, toilet is clean n new, breakfasts is pretty good. Just a bit disappointed because i stated during my booking that it is my wedding anniversary trip, so usually Hotels will...

I loved the room with a view of the snowy mountains! I could lie in bed and watch the sunrise and sunset over the mountains. The breakfast was also excellent.

It was a very hotel with good staff. My room felt a bit aged but was clean. Was impressed with the hotel overall and would definitely recommend to others.

1. This hotel is pretty much like a budget hotel in China – small rooms and very basic facilities. I strongly do not recommend it. 2. The room doesn't provide drinking water, and there isn't a convenience store nearby, so the only way to get water is from the dispenser in the hallway. 3. The service attitude was also just okay, not worth the price.

Novotel Almaty City Centre Hotel. Set in the heart of Almaty City, a few hundred feet from the iconic Soviet era Khazakstan Hotel and 20 to 30 minutes from Almaty Airport, this Novotel is modern, clean and with all the usual, essential amenities. Only one main downside is the room aircon is set by the hotel during winter months to run warm. It cannot be adjusted in the room so it became too hot and...

Great location, and the breakfast was good.

Facilities: Feels like a relatively new hotel for the area. Cleanliness: Pretty good. I had lower expectations after reading reviews for other hotels, so it was actually fine. Service: Decent. Overall, it's a good 4-star hotel, and it even has a pool (though I didn't use it). The breakfast was just okay, but that might be typical for the local area. It's also very close to the subway.

Everything was good..staff is friendly..service was great..

Located right next door to the Kok-Tobe cablecar station, and in walking distance to lots of good cafes and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable and the service was friendly and professional. Breakfast was a little crowded and understaffed (some empty breakfast options and lots of dirty plates etc), so I recommend going to breakfast earlier. However, this didn't affect my stay, and I would...

Hotels in Almaty are significantly inferior to those in China. The Ritz-Carlton's facilities are roughly equivalent to those of Atour X in China. The service is acceptable, but the breakfast is mediocre and too monotonous; it's not even in the same league as Ritz-Carlton hotels in China.

The hotel is well located. It's a decent hotel for the budget, and it's fine for a one-night stay. The service is excellent.

The facilities, hygiene, environment, and services are all good.

I didn't have the chance to stay this time because of customer reasons, but I have stayed in this hotel many times before. Facilities: very new, very complete Hygiene: quite clean Environment: very convenient transportation Service: very good service attitude, very thoughtful

Our stay at Ritz-Carlton Almaty was exceptional, in fact our fav part of the city as tourists. The best part was the warm service from the staff, in particular thanks to Yekaterina (Kate), Malika, and concierge lady. Kate was welcoming and informative upon check in. Guest service staff Malika gave us attentive care throughout our stay and accommodated our preferences, which truly enhanced our experience...

The best and the most expensive hotel in Almaty. Service is perfect, staff try to help in all questions. Breakfast huge and tasty, there is everything, even common quail eggs… Rooms big and have nice views to city or mountais. Gym is very good too. Pool not big but enough good, sauna just separate in mans and womans changing rooms.

Staffs are very friendly and helpful. When making the booking at Trip, make sure to select the number of guest correctly.

Staffs are very friendly and helpful. When making the booking at Trip, make sure to select the number of guest correctly.

The room is a bit small, and the facilities are decent. The bathroom is quite bright, and breakfast is good with fruits available. Overall, it's a good value-for-money option in Almaty.

Convenient location, rich breakfast, and a clean room.

The room was really nice and clean, with heating available. The breakfast was also quite substantial. For the price, and its central location making it convenient to get anywhere, it's definitely worth it.

It's decent, and it has a swimming pool.

The hotel has certainly seen better days, but offers a unique Soviet-style architecture that anyone interested in art and history would appreciate. The location is also excellent.

GOOD - Hotel is clean and in a good location - Reasonably priced and you can negotiate a rate if you extend - Lots of space in the lobby and each floor if you don't want to stay in your room NEEDS IMPROVING - Shower is very poor with little to no pressure - - Beds are very hard and make your back sore, hotel has definitely seen better days - Wifi is a bit poor and you have to register / connect at...

Clean rooms, terrible shower. To get WiFi you have to get your device registered at the front desk. Good breakfast. Great location. Across the park and cathedral

Old Sovjet hotel with lots of history within its walls. It has definitely seen better days but its a cool hotel to stay in, although it seems to be a little empty. Rooms are good, nothing to complain about, and as a bonus you have a little balcony with views over the 28 soldier park. The breakfast is nothing special, although the room it is located in has beautiful art on the walls and is shaped like...

This was our last stop hotel from the 5 Stans tour with Lupine Travel. This hotel is very spacious, Soviet like atmosphere with dark hardwood furniture. Water stations on every floor which was nice. WiFi is weird, go through the front desk. Don’t worry about taxi to the airport as they will order it for you 10 mins before departure. Walking distance to eating places

The location of the hotel is very good, opposite the park The room is too old and the space is small Breakfast so so

It clearly states check-in is after 2 PM, but they forced me to pay for an extra night because I arrived at 12 AM. What's the point? It feels like a scam. And then they demand check-out by 12 PM... The next day, I checked out before 12 PM and requested a refund for that extra day, but they refused to give it.

The room environment is nice, but the facilities are a bit old.

Good breakfast and close to Arbat street.

The hotel was excellent in every aspect. I wanted to extend my stay, but couldn't secure a reservation.

The front desk staff were very friendly and English-speaking. The breakfast spread was quite generous. The hotel seemed to cater predominantly to Chinese guests. My only minor complaint is that it was a bit pricey; otherwise, everything was good.

The hotel was clean, and breakfast was decent. However, when I checked in after 6 PM, the room hadn't been fully cleaned yet, and housekeeping staff were still coming and going, delivering items. There also seemed to be a large number of Indian guests. After 1 AM, a man, two women, and two children in the adjacent room were still being very noisy. Knocking on their door to ask them to quiet down didn...

Very average. The big plate chicken for breakfast was good, though. I think chain hotels are more reliable.

Very good, comfortable, convenient, and quick. I'll definitely stay at this hotel again next time.

It was -16 degrees Celsius outside, but the room was only 15 degrees and there was no underfloor heating. The room was too cold. They eventually provided a heater, but I still couldn't sleep well at night. I recommend against staying at this hotel during winter.

Perfect! The key thing is that the lady at the front desk speaks Chinese, which made communication so much easier.

The room was very satisfying. The lovely staff member, Haziza, spoke Chinese which was very convenient. The room was also very clean. The surrounding amenities were also very convenient.

The hotel's location is excellent, and transportation options nearby are quite convenient. You can walk to all the attractions.

Facilities: excellent Cleanliness: excellent Ambiance: excellent Service: excellent

The hotel was great, without a doubt this hotel was opened not so long ago and therefore the facilities are up in their shape. Breakfast was also great, plenty of options to choose from. Generally, I would recommend staying here.

Upon arrival, our room was prepared with a “welcome gift” of fruit — unfortunately, it was already rotten. We informed reception, and their response was simply that it had been placed there the day before. As one of the more expensive hotels in the city, we expected a higher standard of service and a more professional response to a complaint. Due to this experience, we will consider alternative accommodation...

My experience to all mothers out there who are breastfeeding and looking for a good hotel in Almaty. I visited Almaty while I was in the breastfeeding phase, where I must preserve/store my breast milk to take for my baby back home. As it is well known, hotel rooms do not have freezer in them. I am so thankful and great full for Mark and Assem for their help in that matter; specially Mark, not only...

Lovely hotel. I also got Thai massage in spa and it was absolutely fantastic!

My first visit to Kazakhstan in early October — I chose Mercure for the first three nights for its convenient location and clean, hygienic look. The interior beautifully blends creativity and tradition, with local patterns, photos, and ornaments throughout the lobby, restaurant, and rooms. It’s even more impressive in person than in photos — a true work of art. The room condition was excellent and...

This hotel has a fantastic ambiance with a strong Russian flair. Breakfast every morning was a real treat. The room was very quiet and the heating was excellent. It's super convenient for getting around, and it's easy to walk to many of the attractions. Definitely my top choice for a trip to Almaty.

The hotel is in a good location, room is clean abit smaller than when i stayed in holiday inn express but still able to put 2 luggages in the room. The breakfast spread is very good. Thumbs up. Plenty of food to keep you full. The dining area is abit small but there is still enough tables to serve at least 30 people. I think others who complaint about this probbaly came during summer or peak season...

Let's start with the positives: the hotel's location is decent, close to Mega, and situated in a quiet residential area. Compared to other hotels in Almaty, the price is relatively cheaper. Now for the negatives: the rooms are very old, giving you a distinct feeling of being transported back to the old Soviet era, 20-30 years ago. Breakfast is very average, not bad, but just enough to fill you up....

Place would have been okay, but first of all, there’s no bidet anywhere in this country. The only shattaf spray I found was in a gasoline station restroom. We stayed for 3 nights and the place was generally clean. They did clean our room, though not thoroughly, maybe because the place is a bit old, so even with effort, it doesn’t feel much different. The location is great though, just a short walk...

My initial check-in left me a bit disappointed. The standard room was quite small, and the corridors were narrow. The facilities also felt a bit old-fashioned, and the bathroom fan was quite loud. However, after staying for three days, I really grew to love this small hotel. Even though the facilities are older, they are meticulously maintained and spotlessly clean. It felt charming and cozy, and...

Very satisfied! Although it looks a bit dated, it's clean, well-equipped, and has a strong Soviet feel. The hotel food is plentiful, and transportation is convenient, with excellent bus connections right outside. It's not far from the airport either, less than a 30-minute drive. Plus, there's an elegant coffee shop on the first floor – fantastic!

Fantastic place to stay as a couple. The view is just breath taking. Would love to go again!

We had a wonderful stay at Oi‑Qaragai Mountain Resort. The yurt was comfortable, clean, and full of character, beautifully combining traditional style with modern comfort. Staying surrounded by the mountains made the experience truly unique and relaxing. Special thanks to Zakir for his excellent service. He was very attentive, friendly, and always willing to help, making us feel truly welcomed throughout...

We stayed in a treehouse, which was small but very cozy. The bed was comfortable, and the linens were clean. It had everything we needed (fridge, TV, hairdryer, electric heater, shower amenities). The resort is beautifully situated within a nature reserve, with lovely grounds and lighting… it felt like we were in the Alps… truly a fairytale! The Wi-Fi was excellent throughout the property. The ski...

The food is delicious, and the location is great for a winter vacation.

We stayed in a yurt, which was very comfortable and warm for November, and the breakfasts were wonderfully delicious. There are also places to walk around and explore. However, the ski slopes are quite close to the yurts, which might be a disturbance for those who want to sleep in.

The stay and the location was exceptional, there were many activities which are well organized. However, the room service was pretty much delayed all the time. Any support took time to attend. Overall it was good!!

The room is warm and comfortable, the front desk service is very good, and the breakfast is rich and exquisite

We stayed one night. Everything was fine) the hotel is apparently being renovated, the staff is friendly)  Breakfasts are good)

Everything else is fine. I don't know if it's the local card I bought, but the network is sometimes unstable.

The room is small and has few toiletries. The hardware facilities are slightly old. It is convenient to have a Cantonese restaurant downstairs

First time staying here, pretty good! The facilities are incomplete and you have to go to the front desk to get the kettle.

The hotel building is beautiful, although old and in dire need of maintenance. The marble pillar at the main entrance was slapped with a bunch of duct tapes to tie them together - not sure what they want to achieve. The lobby is small with only 2 sofas. The room is okay, nice size but again, everything is old. As for a view to the front side of the hotel and on the high floor, you'll have a beautiful...

The room was clean and tidy, and a good size compared to other hotels in Almaty. The breakfast restaurant was excellent with beautiful views. The international breakfast wasn't quite to my taste; I prefer the breakfast at Holiday Inn Express. But with such amazing views, it really didn't matter.

Stunning views (especially from the breakfast floor) and an overall nice and friendly place. Rooms are clean and staff is bice, and you also have access to a health club and spa. The breakfast buffet was amazing. You will need a taxi to get to the City center, though.

The hotel is good and the receptionists are helping. Breakfast was very nice.

Excellent location (big mall across the street), clean room, strong WiFi, good service from the reception desk. Happy with this hotel.

We had a good experience - the staff was very accommodating, let us check in early and was very helpful. Rooms nice as well

I stayed three nights at Park Dedeman Almaty and had a pleasant, comfortable experience overall. The room was nice and cozy, with a touch of modern design that made it feel fresh without trying too hard. The location is a real plus, right opposite Atakent Mall and just a short walk from the Botanical Park, which is great for getting some fresh air or a quiet break from the city. Breakfast was okay...

This is the second hotel I stayed at in Almaty. It's definitely an old-money style hotel. The hotel is located near the Koktobe cable car, which is convenient for getting around. The breakfast selection is not extensive, but it's still quite nice. The past two days have been sunny in Almaty. It's a great start to the new year!

Very nice, clean, and safe environment. Healthy and delicious food.

The location is pretty good, near lots if restaurants and metro station. Easy to get the cabs. Walking distance to the opera house and city center. The room is big and the bathroom is clean. The only weak point us the air condition which is too old to cool down.

The room is not big, which is the common situation of most hotels in Almaty. But the room facilities are good. It is not as shabby as many hotels, but magnificent. There is a large community in front of the hotel with very good greenery. You can take a walk in the evening.

I was a little skeptical at first, thinking it would be old. In the end, I booked it because of the location. Overall, I am satisfied. Generally, airline crews will choose hotels for their stay, so they won't be too bad. It's not far from the cable car station, about a 20-minute walk. It's also not far from the Cathedral, a 15-18-minute walk. I am a bit picky. The facilities are acceptable and clean...

Hotel is conveniently located and there is a 24-hour bar which is good to have business discussions within the hotel at any time of the day.

Aside from being a bit old, the hotel was pretty good and even had a small balcony. The location was great, and breakfast was decent too.

Great hotel. Wonderful breakfast buffet, one of the best hotel gyms I've ever used, and it even had a sauna.

Good location, about 5 minutes walk to subway station and a few bus stands nearby. The only drawback for this hotel is the bed, pillow and blanket are too old and thin.

The room was so dirty. The carpet inside the room was full of stains and the furniture looked so shabby. The sliding door inside the shower was broken. However, the location for this hotel was good. Centrally located and easily accessible for public transports for sightseeing.

Dirtiest hotel I ever stayed during my entire life. The carpet inside the room was full of stains and the room is old fashion with shabby condition. Breakfast was below average and not much choices. The only good thing about this hotel was their location. Centrally located inside the city and easily accessible for public transport.

The environment was just okay, and the bed was too small and not very comfortable. Public transport around here isn't very convenient either. Overall, it was an average experience.

"Great location, delicious breakfasts, and very clean hotel."

The location is unbeatable, super convenient for visiting the beautiful Assumption Cathedral, and the surrounding area is lovely. If you're okay with Western breakfast, you'll find it quite good. However, the hotel facilities are dated; even the towels are old. The bed corners, in particular, are sharp and pointy, making it easy to bump into them. The room's hallway is also narrow. On the bright side...

This hotel boasts an excellent location, right in front of 28 Panfilov Heroes Park, and next to Green Bazaar. It's also within walking distance to a mosque, and surrounded by a wide variety of bakeries and clothing stores. The service is quite attentive too. Having stayed at four hotels during this trip with my friend, I found this particular hotel to be a bit overpriced for 800+ RMB, and the facilities...

The hotel has a charming, old-world style. The rooms are spacious and quiet, and the lobby, while small, offers a good variety for breakfast. Its location is a huge plus, with the Green Bazaar and Ascension Cathedral just a few minutes' walk away.

Breakfast was great, and the service was warm and attentive. The guy at the front desk was especially enthusiastic.

The rooms are quite basic, similar to a typical Chinese hotel like Ji Hotel. The staff's English is good, but their enthusiasm is just average. However, the location is excellent.

It's a bit different from the pictures; the building's hallway is a bit eerie. There's someone at the front desk who speaks English, and it didn't seem like there were many guests.

Excellent spa facilities, good breakfast, good location.

There is no kettle in the room 😜 all the rest is good enough.

It is located centrally, enabling travellers to have easy assess to connecting public bus services, subways, walking distance to nearby eateries, restaurants, the famous Green Bazaar and the sceneic, spacious park that housed the famous Zenkov Cathedral! All the staffs were amazing, from the frontline to the housekeeping and managers on duty. They communicated well, speak good English, and were extremely...

The hotel is not new, but the rooms are clean. Breakfast is sufficient, all the basics are there. The location of the hotel is very good.

Apart from the good location, there is nothing good about it. The front desk had a bad attitude. They said they didn't have a charger when I asked to borrow one. Then they changed one and said they could charge my power bank. But when I came back, it was not charged at all. Bad review, bad review, bad review. The room was like a guesthouse.
