3 star hotels in Almaty

We stayed for 2 nights. On the 2nd day, the electricity was shut down twice in the afternoon and in the night time at 2.00 am until the morning. We sleep without aircon for almost 7 hours. It was our bad experience here.

Hotel is good But the aircon is not cool. Its like 27 - 28 degrees inside room during summer. Not able to adjust. Ask to change room , but still same aircon temperature. Mercure City centre is much cooler aircon inside room.

Good hotel for work travel. Clean, fully-equipped. I like the place - nearly Abay street. Good laundry service. But breakfast 3/5. Also I was surprised that there is no aid kit and pills in the hotel. When I asked staff pills for headache they answer that I only can go to a pharmacy.

This trip I had a room where a refrigerator and AC doesn't work well, the shower cabin had bad drain. Somewhere smoking and I feeled tobacco smell in the room. And when I opened my window for ventilation I listened every 15 minutes planes. No need to stay in the 703 room.

The hotel is very different from what the online photos show. I knew it was an old hotel, but I wasn't sure if they even cleaned the room, as there were strange smells and stains here and there on the bedsheet. Regarding the staff's attitude, you should manage your expectations if you're hoping for friendliness. The only good thing about this hotel is its location.

Hvae been there in early October. Room was clean but dark as it was facing north. Breakfast was nice with three options, two local and one continental. The place is close to a shopping mall and a nice outdoor gear shop so it is convenient if you are going on a hike. One of reception staff was not professional. I did have to move rooms as the room i was first put (312) had a very high window, it was cramped and the noise of the extraction units were quite loud, but once i had moved i was much happier, the staff were very helpful! I'm here for a special occasion I'm international table tennis umpire and I have an international tournament there the Hotel is clean I saw to kind of rooms one with king bed and it's big enough and another one had two small beds and tiny the only thing I don't like here it's far from the city center about half an hour to go there that's it 🙂

I do not recommend to anyone who wants to visit them. When we checked in we were told that they had a room for 24 hours 15000tng.
