Evergreen Hostel in Almaty

Highly recommended.

Location:
- Central location near the botanical garden, southern end of the inner city
- not directly at the road
- several bus stops nearby
- lots of small stores nearby
Apartment:
- cozy but fully equipped
- one big room, separate bathroom, kitchen with good quality cutlery
- A/C
- Wifi (somewhat slow at times)
- very clean, cleaning is also done with high quality during longer stays
- wide hallway
Service:
- incredibly friendly staff
- everyone speaks very good English
- travel and tour tips are given
- awesome breakfast included (8-11)
- cafè has long opening hours and serves great quality tea, coffee, baked goods and sandwiches

Suggestions for improvement
- elevator would be nice
- I'd have loved to try the granola with yoghurt breakfast, but it was never available

All in all, great quality accommodation for very reasonable pricing, hospitable staff, clean rooms and excellent food.

Evergreen Apart is really one of the best choices to stay when attending an event in Atakent Expo. Rooms are clean and everyone in the receiption are very friendly, l they know how to speak in English very well. The apartment is near Atakent Mall, restaurants like Mcdonald’s and cafe like Starbucks.

for more than 2 days. Washing machine, plates, etc. are
present.
2) The staff were friendly and available 24/7.
3) They have an option to stay earlier at a very reasonable
rate.
4) You can use their lounge to keep your luggage or just
stay there while waiting for your flight.
5) Close to public transportation.

What a good hostel. Check-in can be done even after midnight, staff are very polite and helpful. The rooms are so comfortable and clean and the beds have curtains. They have spacious rooms with only 4 beds which I prefer. Bathrooms are VERY CLEAN for hostel standards.

I extended my stay for multiple days given how good it is.

Moved from another hostel D*. Am glad that I made the decision. The roommates are respectful of your area. The shower rooms and toilets are super clean - they have someone to clean the hostel daily. The bed is super comfortable and you have your own charging point, lamp, and a curtain for privacy. The locker is big to fit a backpack, and comes with a digital lock. Love the atmosphere there, especially the common area. There were a lot of Russians staying there but they are mostly respectful. The employees working there were helpful if you need any information; witnesses them helping a Japanese guy who also stayed at the hostel to get a Yandex and directed him how to go to Tashkent. Their price is a little on the high side, but for the cleanliness, standards of the bed, I would definitely pay to stay again! 💪🏻
