KaAiEr Mini-hotel in Almaty

The carpet is in old dirty stains. Torn tulle. Terrible Wi-Fi. Dirty shower tray without a door (water pours onto the floor) and with a strong blockage. We fell for the positive reviews on Booking.

It feels like the owner/manager doesn't care about the development of the hotel. Accordingly, the employees don't care either. Even the clock with the local time of different cities of the world doesn't work at the reception 🫤

They offered to move us to a "better quality" room for a review on Booking.

This is how they solve the problem of attracting new customers.

On the plus side - a really good breakfast. On the plate there is everything you need, what you would choose at the buffet. The location is also good. It is quiet and calm around, not far from the main places of the city. But not in the very center

Read until the end: I strongly regret having chosen this hotel for 2 nights.
There is no soundproofing, you only hear the whispers/snoring from the neighboring rooms/hallway. It was also very noisy at night (we could hear the people next door laughing/coming in and out of the room until at least 2-3 a.m.).
There is a foul smell in the bathroom!
You don't know how to open the shower door completely (if you're not "thin", it will be complicated to get in I think!
No possibility of turning the heating lower or hotter!
The bed sheet was not big enough to cover the entire mattress (see photo), I have never seen that!!! It’s really very dirty, this part of the bed can’t be changed and I doubt it’s “washed”!!!
We stayed two nights and no cleaning ladies came the second day, so nothing was cleaned / changed!
Staff also not very pleasant!
For 10€ more expensive, you have the EastPalace which is clearly of better quality

We paid almost $200 for 2 rooms for 2 nights. Although the price of this hotel is 50, if they don’t have to pay extra at all for choosing this nightmare. I have never been to such a shameful hotel. I don’t even know what’s better: an architectural solution when your knees rest against the wall on the toilet, gaps in the doors the size of a fist, tiny “standard” rooms where you can’t even unfold a suitcase... we had a dog kennel and a room of a higher class, yes, the second room is really a couple of steps larger, a unique design solution - for each type of lighting there are a million switches, one of which stuck and we could barely turn it off. The nice thing about this superior room is the view of the mountains. In my room, water was pouring from the shower onto the floor...

We rented a room in this hotel yesterday, the rooms are terribly dirty, there is a lot of dust on the surfaces and garbage on the floor, there was no door to the cubicle in the shower room and the door to the toilet also did not close, the towels smell unpleasant, as if they had not been washed, the sink in the bath was very dirty, it was left with dirt from past tenants. It felt like the room hadn't been cleaned properly.

Stopped in for the night at this hotel and this night was not the best. Woke up because of the cold. As it turned out, there was nothing to hide with, there was no remote control for the air conditioner, I had to use a duvet cover, and a towel over it in order to somehow sleep. Feelin' cold
