The best hostel in Almaty. Clean and cozy. This is where I checked in when I arrived in Almaty. You'll be greeted by the nicest and most helpful receptionist. The rooms and the hostel itself are clean and bright. Great location, close to the metro. I'm happy with everything.

The rooms are absolutely ok, beds comfortable, a wardrobe, fan... Wi-fi working well. Toilet is only one for the whole apartment, but it wasn't a problem during our stay. Two showers. Kitchen with all equipment and hot drinking water. All clean. When somebody is speaking in the kitchen, you can hear it very clearly in your room (even though our room wasn't next to the kitchen), so it was a bit disturbing...

At the beginning we were about to put 5 starts, the hostel it’s cosy, clean and the family it’s really nice…but during the first night he had water dripping from the walls and we couldn’t sleep that’s wasn’t their fault but im talking about our experience. And also I put another less start because the day we left the housekeeper it was really rude rushing all the time, taking our sheets and towels...

It's 5 to 10 minutes walking distance to any bus station. Near to any grocery store and I did walked twice from the hostel to the center even if it is snowing as I wanted to see the place. It will take you more or less 20 minutes walking. The owner is very kind and response to my chat, whatsapp, message anytime of the day. So this is really a nice hostel.

Very comfortable rooms, spacious hall and clean bathrooms. Wifi signal is good. But what is the best about the hostel are its hosts! They are lovely people! It's really a FAMILY hostel. Additionally the lady speaks English so it's easy to communicate. The hosts have also a beautiful cat :) Totally recommend it.

Were in this hostel last week. Everything is simple and cozy. Cleaning is done every day. We liked it, and the residents themselves are positive and not noisy. It is impossible to drink and smoke indoors, which is a big +. Because I would not want to live next to drunken guests.

This hotel is very affordable and so close to downtown... I think is the cheapest in the area too plus the food and service there is good the managers are really nice and helpful .. I enjoyed staying there I would come back again and taste that breakfast and spend the good time with the homies.

We have been staying in this hostel for 8 days in bedroom for two persons. We liked it close to downtown and around hostel everything you need, restaurant and big park. Very clean place, light, comfortable and else hostel manager speaking English and helped us with all information about Almaty and where to go to see beautiful places. We enjoyed Almaty and people there!

We stopped at the Harmony Hostel for three days, everything arranged for a low price. Very clean, comfortable and almost in the center of the city, we liked it very much that the attacker was two minutes away. The staff is responsive and you can order food home cooking. Bathrooms for men and women separately.

Kind and helpful staff, and they speak English. Clean, good and big kitchen. Overall clean. Quiet and safe location. Walking distance to main attraction in central area. Price is also convenient.

I spent a couple of nights there in November, middle of the winter in Almaty, pouring rain all day and the house really felt like a hug, warm, comfortable, well kept, cosy, clean. 3/5 The exterior of the hostel looks nice and there is secure gate and ample parking for motorbikes, bicycles and cars. The location is also generally pleasant and is only 15 minutes walk from the cathedral and monument park. The kitchen was also comfortably sized and clean. Honestly though. This is the most depressing hostel I've ever been too in my life. The curtains in the lobby are always closed...

I've never slept in a shared room before and couldn't have chosen a better place! The hostel itself is extremely clean (spotless! I was amazed!), safe and comfy. I loved the homely atmosphere and staff - Olga was exceptionally helpful and friendly :)

We have stayed at Esentai Hostel every time we come back to Almaty . There's a calm atmosphere, super clean common areas and rooms, and the family who run the place are very sweet.

I can say this is a very nice place to stay in Almaty because we already stayed here for many days and in different times. The location is good, there is an underground stop nearby. Super clean and quite. The owners are very nice:)

The hotel was very clean and quiet, which made the stay really comfortable. The view in front of the property during winter was absolutely breathtaking - watching the snow fall felt almost unreal. Just a small tip: try to pack light because the room I stayed in required going up the stairs, so bringing very large suitcases might be inconvenient.

This Hostel is next to a skate park and you have to ring the doorbell to enter the Hostel. The owners were friendly, though they only spoke a little English. Bang for the buck! We extended our stay here for additional two days as the hostel is extremely comfortable, especially for the price. Private room was extremely spacious, washroom clean, steady supply of hot water, and the heating was effective.

A true hidden gem that seems to be known mostly by locals and is seriously underrated by tourists. The atmosphere is fantastic, the music is great, and the service is exceptional. The food is absolutely delicious—every dish was outstanding. The place has a unique nostalgic charm that reminds me a bit of the Soviet era, making the experience even more special. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Location is very convinent. Receptionist is really helpful. Stayed there 8 days, it's neat and clean located at riverside and walking distance for few of attractions. Easy way to go Green Bazar , Cathedral church, Arbat street by bus. Overall experience is very good for solo.

Dormitory rooms in the basement didn't have a privacy curtain. The bed mattress was comfortable though. Toilets and shower rooms were quite clean. Kitchen is also available and the common area is quite small. They have a lovely cat here. Location is the best!

Some of the guests seem to be staying long term, and one guy in the picture was stealing money from the tip jar. Really couldn't ask for much more. Location is the best, in the center of Almaty city! Close by every hot spot of the city and subway station .I was grateful to be able to leave my belongings in the hostel the day I was taking the train to my next destination. The location is an easy 7-8 minute walk from a downtown stop of the #92 airport bus, and close to a ‘Magnum’ supermarket. It is next to a riverside walk that goes right up into the mountains. Hostel 211A is clean, safe and friendly. I have stayed there twice and will go again.

good, but the owner or some staff aren't really friendly, sometime demanding and a bit racist if you were asians skin. but one staff were kind and attentive. it is probably one of the best for hostel since Almaty has lacked of hostel equipment compare to international standard. no English speaking staff. you can cook .

Hostel 211A offers good sized rooms and a comfortable bed. I liked having a single bed. OK storage space. Staff are friendly but not sure how much English they speak. Bathroom clean but might not be enough if room is full. Towels, etc are for rent. It was quiet. Good kitchen with all the amenities and a big fridge and social space both inside and outside.
