Good location in town. Phantastic atmosphere by architecture, furniture, light. Comfortable space to meet, relax, enjoy tea and coffee. Rooms with good light, comfortable beds, perfect temperature of room, elegant design of interior/furniture, very clean and practcal bathroom. In summary a guesthouse, we were enthusiastic to stay and enjoy hospitality, consciousness of sustainability.

Beautiful Japanese style guest house in a great location. The owner cooks a fabulous omelette at the wonderful breakfast. It is spotlessly clean and very well-appointed with comfortable beds and a real homely feel underpinned by the excellent, friendly and personal service

Love Matsunoki for the great breakfast, quiet rooms and hospitable staff. The location of the guest house is another great thing. There is a park, central square, local sites and restaurants. Attention to the detail is tuned to the maximum which one can see from the recycling boxes, different types of tea in the hall available 24 hours, carefully folded towels and etc.

Spent a week in Kyrgyzstan & this was our best accommodation by far. Friendly & helpful host. Immaculately clean, airy & well equipped. Also laundry available which was a bonus. Best breakfast including lots of fresh fruit & pancakes. Very central.

Lovely family-run hotel with a super helpful reception. The laundry service was fast (which was great after days of trekking!), and the breakfast was amazing—one of the best we had. You’re asked to take off your shoes at the entrance, which makes sense since many guests come from the hiking. The whole place was very clean and cozy. Would definitely recommend for a comfortable stay in Karakol!

Loved our stay here. The staff are extremely accommodating, the rooms are clean, nice bathroom with consistent hot water for shower. It was very peaceful and they also provide nice breakfast. The hospitality of the receptionist is made my day, breakfast was awesome so I decide to give 5 star. A little improvement needed like providing some kettle in rooms with water, but I know if I ask they will bring it for sure. My room is so warm coz they provide super big heater. Coz I came during winter time.

Very clean and welcoming. We tried a couple of rooms and both were immaculately kept. It's a family-run establishment where the mother prepares excellent breakfasts and dinners. We had a wonderful time. They treated us wonderfully. If we were to come back, this would be our first choice.

Sergei is the best host! He took really good care of us before and after the hike to Ala Kul. The breakfast is amazing and Bella is a super cute dog.

We stayed here in July. Best accomodation we had in Kyrgyzstan. Hosts are very hospitable, especially if you understand little bit of Russian/other slavic languages. The only downside are the beds, which are little bit less comfortable. The dog Bela is very friendly.

Great place to stay in Karakol! Sergei and his wife are such kind hosts. Nice and clean room with hot shower and a great breakfast. Sergei helped us with any information needed, and we could do our laundry there. Nice atmosphere with the other guests as well. Highly recommended!! Thank you Sergei!

Fantastic guest house. Sergei and his wife are excellent hosts - and Bella the dog was a delight. Rooms were clean and very cosy, the en-suite bathrooms are also a big plus. I highly recommend staying here if you are in Karakol.

We definitely recommend this guesthouse. It offers an excellent value for money, especially compared to other accommodations in Karakol. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. There were five of us here, a group of friends; there were no other guests. The hosts were very welcoming, always willing to accommodate your every request. It was clean, warm (we were there in winter), and spacious.

It's a nice cozy place, runs as a family business, very clean well equipped place. The kitchen is shared with everything you need to cook your own meal, or they can prepare you a meal. I’d highly HIGHLY recommend Argo Guest House to anyone looking for a place to stay in Karakol. For 36 USD you get a spacious room, a balcony with chairs, a hearty breakfast with fresh fruits and vegetables (porridge unpictured), and refillable water. For Karakol's circumstances the rooms and bathrooms are outstanding! I would always prefer guest houses compared to e.g. hostels because you get to know people from around (not from abroad). The big room is great. It has got a balcony facing north so this is great in summer for example, because you don't get the midday sun straight in your room.

Good day everyone! I was on an infrared summer vacation and stayed at this hotel with my family. We really enjoyed it :) The staff was friendly, the food was delicious, the rooms were clean, and the prices were affordable. I think we'll be back at the Tumar Hotel next year.

The guesthouse owner speaks great English which made the whole process of booking and making arrangements very fuss-free. He also helped us to arrange the transport from Karakol city center and also horses to get us to the base of Ala Kul pass so that we would be able to get there and back within the day. One of the best stays we had in Kyrgyzstan. Amazing views from the room, super clean, warm rooms and the friendliest hosts. The food was also delicious. They arranged both our horse riding and UAZ trip to Altyn Arashan - everything went smoothly and felt well organized. I would definitely recommend.

A wonderful experience spending the night in a yurt. Beautiful untouched nature. I appreciate the opportunity to communicate with the staff in English, which is not a given in this region. The hygiene in the yurt could definitely be improved – when I wanted to go to the toilet/shower, I had to walk across the yard, where there was horse shit. Thank you for arranging the horse riding.

Getting there was a bit of a hassle, the bridge google map showed was closed and we had a hard time finding the other bridge. However the room was comfortable and the food was really good. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

The price/quality ratio is fantastic! Everything at the ski resort is much more expensive, but here, right next to the resort, the quality of service and prices make you feel comfortable. And after the sauna, the relaxation is pure joy! The air is so special, so fresh!
