Private accomodation in Karakol

The host is super cooperative and very kind. Horseback trip to waterfall - mesmerizing. Food served in this place is various and delicious! House jn which we’ve stayed - clean and cozy

They have A line rooms, Yurts and normal rooms too. Yurts do not have private bathroom i guess ( not sure though)

Beautiful property at a beautiful location, just down the mountains and pine trees. The route is off-road, and you would need a 4x4 esp if there was rain prior to ur trip. The rooms are decent, but very small

There is a stream next to the property and you can take a stroll around it to explore serene places and for activities too. Our purpose was to just relax at a cosy, serene place and this was perfect for it

We had a great stay at Zhyluu Suu Resort. We were warmly received and could stay in the A-Frame. The best bed and shower we have had so far in Kyrgyzstan. We enjoyed the food and the quiet surroundings

The rooms in this resort are so warm and cozy. It is a good place to rest with nature. The beds in the room are so comfortable.

Love Matsunoki for the great breakfast, quiet rooms and hospitable staff. The location of the guest house is another great thing. There is a park, central square, local sites and restaurants

In the neighborhood were many of the old, original wooden houses, which made walking around a pleasant experience. It was quiet at night as well. We enjoyed our two-night stay here

Good water pressure, excellent Wi-Fi, kind people who remember your name. We left as friends of the house. If you ever pass through Karakol, give yourself the gift of Matsunoki

Our room was comfortable, and we loved the fact that the hosts are environmentally friendly, providing recycling bins and refillable soaps and shampoo

This is a lovely guest house run by a wonderful couple. It is located a short distance from the cathedral and restaurants and shopping

Beautiful Japanese style guest house in a great location. The owner cooks a fabulous omelette at the wonderful breakfast

Lovely host, helped us arrange a guide and taxi to Ala kul. They understand English and German. Remember to ask if you can shower during the day, the boiler needs some warming up time.

A very nice guesthouse with friendly owners. Large rooms with comfortable beds. Dedicated toilets outside the room. Good value, although a bit far away from the center.

Confortable peaceful guesthouse +Absolute silent neighborhood, you'll sleep well +Comfy clean beds +Clean surroundings +Friendly housekeeper -a bit away from the center, however with a 102 number minivan easily reachable (5soms bus ticket) -shared toilet with poor water pressure

One of the best Places we stayed in Kyrgyzstan. Friendly family, clean room and facilities, perfect parking spot.

Spent a few days here. Owner was lovely and very helpful. My room was very clean and pretty comfortable.

Best accomodation we had in Kyrgyzstan. Hosts are very hospitable, especially if you understand little bit of Russian/other slavic languages. The only downside are the beds, which are little bit less comfortable

Sergei and his wife are excellent hosts - and Bella the dog was a delight. Rooms were clean and very cosy, the en-suite bathrooms are also a big plus. I highly recommend staying here if you are in Karakol

We definitely recommend this guesthouse. It offers an excellent value for money, especially compared to other accommodations in Karakol. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable

Sergei is the best host! He took really good care of us before and after the hike to Ala Kul. The breakfast is amazing and Bella is a super cute dog.

The owners are super kind and always ready to help. We did the Ala Kul trekking and they kept our big backpacks for free. The last day the owner even took us to the bus station to help us take the right marshrutka

Nice atmosphere with the other guests as well. Highly recommended!! Thank you Sergei!

There were five of us here, a group of friends; there were no other guests. The hosts were very welcoming, always willing to accommodate your every request. It was clean, warm (we were there in winter), and spacious.

The host family is a nice welcoming family makes you feel at home, with all the help you might need

The place is prepared for families and big groups; washing machine, large dining room, outside you have BBQ and cooking equipments with necessary tools you might need, a sauna to relax in

It's a nice cozy place, runs as a family business, very clean well equipped place. The kitchen is shared with everything you need to cook your own meal, or they can prepare you a meal

Very friendly welcome. Comfortable, clean, and well-equipped rooms. Highly recommended!

Great place! Very nice and helpful family. The place is clean and the breakfast is great! Askar speaks good english and can help in organizing your trip. We came back several times and always were happy to come back

Ascar gave us a fantastic welcome! Excellent value for money, clean, and a great breakfast thanks to Gulzat. Plus, Sona (by reservation) is a must-have! 🥵 Multi-jet shower, perfect for summer or winter after a trek

We tried a couple of rooms and both were immaculately kept. It's a family-run establishment where the mother prepares excellent breakfasts and dinners. If we were to come back, this would be our first choice

Everything is at your fingertips thanks to Ascar, who knows everything there and will give you all the information you need to make the most of the Karakol region

For Karakol's circumstances the rooms and bathrooms are outstanding! I would always prefer guest houses compared to e. hostels because you get to know people from around (not from abroad)

For 36 USD you get a spacious room, a balcony with chairs, a hearty breakfast with fresh fruits and vegetables (porridge unpictured), and refillable water. The host speaks limited English but enough to get by

I’d highly HIGHLY recommend Argo Guest House to anyone looking for a place to stay in Karakol

The hosts are lovely and will go out of their way to help you! They have 2 dogs and a cat

We were able to wash 2 supermarket plastic bags’ worth of clothes so I am guessing 7-12kg? Note that they do not have a dryer, they just hang it out to dry, so this may not be the option for you if you are in a hurry

The place is super inviting, warm and really well kept. The rooms super nice for the value and great showers. They were super helpful too with making sure everything was good for me

The very pleasant and welcoming hosts, Kuban and Raushan, and staff members Sergey and Natalya do everything possible to ensure your vacation is truly relaxing

We've already stayed twice in this cozy and warm house, where you're welcomed like close family and where they're ready to fulfill your every wish

We loved every minute of our vacation and highly recommend this guesthouse to families, groups of friends, and practically anyone

If you're looking for a great and affordable way to spend your winter holidays, this is the place for you. The location is excellent, it's close to the ski resort, and the prices were very reasonable

When we arrived, we were absolutely blown away. We had such a wonderful time, thanks in particular to the staff, who went out of their way to be polite and friendly, ensuring everything was perfect

The clean and cozy rooms, the hot sauna, the delicious food made from the finest organic ingredients, and the beautiful surroundings leave you with an irresistible desire to return again and again

Really nice place. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, food facilities (towels, soap, hair dryer). Hospitable host and good food. Bonus: the house has many traditional art on the wall.

Janara, the hostess, greets guests with a smile and makes you feel like an old friend. Here you will not just relax – here you will feel the real Kyrgyzstan

Janara, the host, welcomes guests with a smile and makes you feel like an old friend. Here, you won’t just rest – you’ll feel the real Kyrgyzstan

Breakfasts are like home, the rooms are clean and cozy, and in the garden there are ripe apples, plums and raspberries that you can pick straight from the branches. Homemade jam brings back the taste of childhood

Breakfast tastes like home, the rooms are fresh and spotless, and the garden is full of apples, plums, and raspberries you can pick straight from the tree. The homemade jams take you back to childhood flavors

Śniadania smakują jak w domu, pokoje pachną czystością, a w ogrodzie rosną jabłka, śliwki i maliny, które można zbierać prosto z drzewa. Domowe konfitury przenoszą w smak dzieciństwa

I’m not exaggerating when I say this hostel is pure magic

- Emir Guesthouse is located in a perfect area - in front of the Seven Bulls

If you are a backpacker on a budget, be aware that meal expenses can really mount up here. Over 2 days my guest house supplied food including one delivery was 3100 som while accommodation was only 2100 som

This guest house sits right below the Seven Bulls. There is a panoramic view through the kitchen windows. In the nearby vicinity one can do different walks through beautiful countryside

Getting there was a bit of a hassle, the bridge google map showed was closed and we had a hard time finding the other bridge. However the room was comfortable and the food was really good. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

You wake up, open the curtains (or step outside your door), and there they are: the legendary Seven Bulls rocks standing like giants against the sky, with nothing but endless wilderness stretching in every direction

The guesthouse is super comfortable with heaters and even has flushing toilets/hot water showers which is amazing for the location. From the room, there's also a nice view of the valley

after a long day of hiking nothing better than staying here , lovely family running the guesthouse , excellent facilities, delicious local food, the price also good. We stayed in a yurt, so warm and cozy

Great guesthouse. Cheap prices. Very nice family. There's electricity. Price includes breakfast. They also provide launch and dinner.

He also helped us to arrange the transport from Karakol city center and also horses to get us to the base of Ala Kul pass so that we would be able to get there and back within the day

Beautiful new guest house, clean and comfortable, the first one you will come across once you arrive! I recommend a stay there they have both shared rooms and private rooms, the owners speak English also 😊

One of the best stays we had in Kyrgyzstan. Amazing views from the room, super clean, warm rooms and the friendliest hosts

I was sick at the beginning of our stay and felt so safe at this place. I am so glad we had the chance to find this place to stay. Would definatly come back here 🌼 super super clean and beautiful house

Wonderful two-night stay in this clean, comfortable guesthouse with friendly and helpful staff. The space was the perfect environment to relax after a long trek across the country

Very neat and clean property, Very comfortable to stay here. I stayed for one night and felt like it’s my own house. I will suggest you guys to book and stay here

The breakfast was good and the location ideal, within walking distance to sites, restaurants, bars and shops

We stayed here for 6 nights to ski. The hotel is a family home with rooms. It is very nice and really great value. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The breakfast was generous, tasty and different each day

The Tunduk guesthouse is just amazing, it is close to the city center of Karakol. The hosting family speaks well english and are very wellcoming. Shops, bar, and restaurants just around the corner

Furthermore, while we initially thought the internet was good, it was not stable enough to actually get remote work done, and we lost electricity three times in five days (which I think is normal in the area)

Worse, we were charged over $15 for just two loads of laundry (one white, one colors). I have traveled extensively and have never seen such an exorbitant price, not even in expensive countries like Germany

Their kindness felt incredibly genuine, which is why the end of our stay feels so hurtful and disappointing. Unfortunately, behind the friendly hospitality, we felt taken advantage of financially

The first red flag was when they tried to book a mountain tour for us and quoted a price that was 1,000 higher than the actual cost—which we assumed was a heavy commission, but we let it pass

Aside from the financial disappointment, the stay itself had some challenges. The hotel is far away from everything; you have to walk at least 15 minutes just to find food

The real breaking point was check-out. We moved from a very large room to a much smaller room, yet were charged the exact same price ($25/night)

It is a racing horse training farm that has a new guesthouse and restaurant. The guesthouse is brand new wooden and carpeted and comfortable.

Stayed overnight as part of a tour. Comfortable room with en suite ( rather strange position of toilet!). Good facilities and tasty evening meal and breakfast. Very efficient staff and cope well with groups of tourists

Very lovely and professional guesthouse/hotel. The owners are friendly and competent. They know how guests feel welcome and wanna stay. I could only spent one night at this place and i wish it was longer

Not sure if this is available to all travellers but if you can get talking to your host, make sure you hear about her and her family’s passion for sustainability in their country

The rooms in the new guest house are comfortable and have everything you need for a great stay. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and feel refreshed. Great hospitality, lovely surroundings

Farm tour if offered is interesting

A wonderful guesthouse, very cozy and warm. It's located in a very picturesque spot, and you wake up to the sound of a mountain stream. The breakfasts are delicious and filling

There's a great sauna for warming up on cold evenings. And most importantly, the hosts are very welcoming and put hospitality first. I recommend it to everyone and will definitely be back

The guesthouse is located near Karakol, yet in a cozy corner of the nature reserve, away from the hustle and bustle, near a ski slope, forest, and stream

Definitely the best place we stayed during our trip around Issyk-Kul! We sincerely thank the hosts and wish them prosperity and the best of luck! ❤️

The hosts and staff were very pleasant and gave us a warm welcome! They responded promptly to messages and calls

Hot water, showers, comfortable beds, and towels. An excellent, large, and warmly heated banya with bath birch branches and sheets, and they even treated us to some fruit drink! Very tasty and filling breakfasts

The valley is a long stretched river walk passing beautiful pine tree forests and mountain tops. The place is pretty popular so expect vehicle transport to pass you by regularly. The walk itself is easy to moderate

I think it was one of my greatest experiences. Driving here inside russian UAZ was adventure on its own. Views are amazing. Green mountains, snow tops in a distance, river, wild hot springs. This place is a gem.

The mountain air is crisp and cold. But you slowly sink into natural, warm mineral water. That first dip? A miracle for tired muscles. We sat there, soaking, surrounded by nothing but beauty and silence

Green meadows, ancient pine forests, and snowy peaks touching the sky. Through wildflowers, past rushing streams, with mountains watching over us. Imagine this: Your body is sore from the bumpy ride

You‘ll see pine forests, streams, and snow-capped peaks – it’s like a painting that‘s even more beautiful in person than in photographs. I visited in mid-April, and the weather was pleasantly cool

Really remote but lovely valley! Hikable (15 km) or driveable via taxi (10000 som per taxi car). Do not drive by yourself! We tried, but had to stop caused by terrible road conditions
