Overall, if you can overlook these shortcomings, Karagat offers a comfortable stay primarily due to its room size and storage space

I think the staff tried their best to improve the quality. Location is a bit far away from city center, but given that karakol is a small city, it is acceptable

Exquisite stay as always. Great atmosphere, bright and airey upper lounge area along with the added bonus of a cosy cafe downstairs. Everyone is always friendly and the location is suitable. I can thoroughly recommend. 👍

A very nice and welcoming place. The owner greeted us and guided us through a unique experience preparing Dungan cuisine Laghman and traditional bread during two cooking classes that got everyone involved

Like the family house I went to with the tour, it is a very comfortable and clean place, definitely number one on the list of choices, it has a garden, the kitchen and its materials are sufficient, if you want to feel comfortable, you should definitely choose this place

The rooms are quite small, but clean, and are quite enough to stay for one night. The rooms are decorated in a chalet style, with a wooden wall behind the bed and beams on the ceiling. You can use handmade felt slippers

The best place to stay in Karakol. We stayed there for 5 nights and we discovered from there all the region hiking every day in different valley (Ak-Suu, Jeti Oguz, Jyrgalan, Altyn Arash)

The very hospitable hostess Elvira showed us everything, told us everything, advised where we could have a tasty meal. You can sit on the terrace and drink some tea with honey and jam

Stayed here for 2 nights, then we went to Jyrgalan valley for 1 night, and came back here again for another night. The location is also great, not too far from the good restaurants and Issyk Kul ski resort

I had stayed for two nights here. Erkin's villa is very clean and comfortable. You can walk to the downtown of Karakol easily. Having conversatioons with his daughters have made you more understanding about Kyrgys

Everything about this guesthouse was just perfect! The whole house was like a villa! The rooms were super clean, very new furniture, beautiful design and we slept like babies in the soft beds

We had been at Ordo Hotel in September 2024 twice on our 4x4 tour through Kyrgyzstan. We were welcomed warmly like family members. We had several great chats with Mars (the owner) and enjoyed our visit there very much

He gave us great restaurant recommendations and made reservations for us too. His dad, who drove a taxi for over 30 years, was our driver for day trips. The car was in great condition and his driving was top-notch

We used this hotel to go skiing near karakol. They arranged a transportation to the ski area. The rooms are small but spotless. The owner tries to speak English

One of the best guesthouse in Karakol, everything here is really great, rooms, breakfast, bathroom. The atmosphere is really quite, just little bit away from noisy city center but you can do everything by feet

Let me start with this, on my second day of my trip, on the way to karakol i got into an accident in the minibus, which caused 5 deaths I was in a terrible mental state and somehow reached karakol after a little hitchhiking with a local I had booked my stay at this guest house and as I entered, the owner, katsya saw me and saw the state I was in, first question she asked was what happened? I can’t...

Katusha, the host, is an excellent manager. The guesthouse has an authentic touch, yet very modern and comfortable. There is a washing machine, which is a great bonus for trekkers. The best one in Kyrgyzstan so far

It was a treat to eat three different home-made jams with Russian pancakes. Plus, I was also able to do my laundry for free, which was such a nice surprise and super helpful after being on the road for a while

There are no towels, shampoo, or toiletries. You have to ask for disposable slippers. The room is clean, the bed linens, and the mattress are excellent. The TV, kettle, and Wi-Fi are all good

So many lovely things about this hotel, location is superb, the front of house presentation on arrival is grand and there is a beautiful indoor garden, the staff are incredibly welcoming, friendly, professional, helpful, multilingual, the rooms are well equipped, comfortable with beautiful views of the mountains

Hot showers and huge breakfasts with lots of variety. They make a real effort to please, asking our group what we wanted on subsequent days. The pasty things are excellent cold at lunch time and the jams are exceptional

Nice and clean rooms in the city centre. The bed was comfortable and the room was big. There is a small pantry with water kettle, fridge, microwave oven and large sofa. The toilet was clean and with hot water too

She can’t speak English but always tried to use translator to explain us anything. She also has a laundry room, very convenient! All the good restaurants are only far from the apartment 5-15min by car

The compound is gated and you can park your car inside safely. However, the road outside are undergoing construction so try to enter the compound by turning left into the main road

We stopped here as a last minute change of plans on our way around Issyk-Kul. Room was lovely, toilets and bathrooms were good. Staff didn't speak English but we muddled through. Nice coffee shop around the corner too

You can truly relax and enjoy every part of your stay and if you decide that you wanna feel more at home, visit the second floor lounge where Aziz the best barista in Karakol will make you a cup of fresh ground coffee or anything you'd like to drink from "starbucks"

Also please do visit the Sauna, which creates this great Russian/ Kyrgyz culture around you. Rest like you had the weight of the whole world on your shoulders. This is the Hotel to go in Karakol

In October for four days 3750 som double room. Everything is great. Only the sink is clogged and the toilet is leaking) but they will fix it, the staff is very polite. The room is clean.

Andre was super friendly & knowledgeable providing great advice and going above and beyond helping us with arranging transport etc. The delicious breakfast was a bonus on top which we would look forward to each day

During our group stay, they invited a group of musicians to perform for us with native music instruments, it was such a charming evening. Our room was a little warm, thank goodness at night it cool off so we can sleep

I really liked the location: on a quiet street, but within walking distance of the Globus supermarket, Pizza Empire, other cafes, and a dozen equipment rental shops. The minibus stop to the bus station is also nearby

Muras Hotel was a great stop over for one night. Very clean rooms and bathroom + a very nice breakfast! The host family were very nice and accommodating.
