House in Karakol

Wonderful two-night stay in this clean, comfortable guesthouse with friendly and helpful staff. The space was the perfect environment to relax after a long trek across the country. The breakfast was good and the location ideal, within walking distance to sites, restaurants, bars and shops. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for 6 nights to ski. The hotel is a family home with rooms. It is very nice and really great value. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The owner is very helpful. The breakfast was generous, tasty and different each day. Our kids loved the porridge. There are a few restaurants nearby and a bar next door. The supermarket is a 10-12 minute walk away. If you are staying in Karakol this is...

Very neat and clean property, Very comfortable to stay here. I stayed for one night and felt like it’s my own house. I will suggest you guys to book and stay here. And the lady owner is very supportive and can speak English well. I will give 10/10.

We accidentally booked a room in the wrong year and although they were full, the host still invited us in and helped us find another accommodation. So we didn't stay, but I'm sure it's a lovely place if the host is so kind and friendly.

The Tunduk guesthouse is just amazing, it is close to the city center of Karakol. The hosting family speaks well english and are very wellcoming. The rooms are great too. Shops, bar, and restaurants just around the corner. 5 star place to me.

Aigoulu and her family were the sweetest! You must take breakfast included as you’ll eat like a prince/princess 🌸🧡 she is a super host, speaks fluent English and gave us lots of tips. I was sick at the beginning of our stay and felt so safe at this place. I am so glad we had the chance to find this place to stay. Would definatly come back here 🌼 super super clean and beautiful house.

The rooms in this resort are so warm and cozy. It is a good place to rest with nature. The beds in the room are so comfortable.

Beautiful property at a beautiful location, just down the mountains and pine trees. The route is off-road, and you would need a 4x4 esp if there was rain prior to ur trip. The rooms are decent, but very small. They have A line rooms, Yurts and normal rooms too. Yurts do not have private bathroom i guess ( not sure though). The food was good. There is a stream next to the property and you can take a...

This place is just the best. The host is super cooperative and very kind. Horseback trip to waterfall - mesmerizing. Food served in this place is various and delicious! House jn which we’ve stayed - clean and cozy. And there are two fantastic dogs! Absolutely recommended ❤️

We had a great stay at Zhyluu Suu Resort. We were warmly received and could stay in the A-Frame. The best bed and shower we have had so far in Kyrgyzstan. We enjoyed the food and the quiet surroundings. Highly recommended!

This is a lovely guest house run by a wonderful couple. It is located a short distance from the cathedral and restaurants and shopping. Our room was comfortable, and we loved the fact that the hosts are environmentally friendly, providing recycling bins and refillable soaps and shampoo. There is a large terrace upstairs and also a beautiful garden and porch downstairs. The wi-fi worked well. The breakfast...

Good location in town. Phantastic atmosphere by architecture, furniture, light. Comfortable space to meet, relax, enjoy tea and coffee. Rooms with good light, comfortable beds, perfect temperature of room, elegant design of interior/furniture, very clean and practcal bathroom. In summary a guesthouse, we were enthusiastic to stay and enjoy hospitality, consciousness of sustainability.

Let me tell you about the evening we found Matsunoki. After a long day of dusty roads and altitude headaches, we just wanted a shower and a bed. What we got instead was something close to magic. The gate opened to a garden that smelled of pine and flowers. Inside — polished wood everywhere, soft lighting, the quiet clink of teacups. The family who own it (a beautiful Kyrgyz-Japanese blend) welcomed...

Beautiful Japanese style guest house in a great location. The owner cooks a fabulous omelette at the wonderful breakfast. It is spotlessly clean and very well-appointed with comfortable beds and a real homely feel underpinned by the excellent, friendly and personal service

Love Matsunoki for the great breakfast, quiet rooms and hospitable staff. The location of the guest house is another great thing. There is a park, central square, local sites and restaurants. Attention to the detail is tuned to the maximum which one can see from the recycling boxes, different types of tea in the hall available 24 hours, carefully folded towels and etc.

Spent a week in Kyrgyzstan & this was our best accommodation by far. Friendly & helpful host. Immaculately clean, airy & well equipped. Also laundry available which was a bonus. Best breakfast including lots of fresh fruit & pancakes. Very central.

Spent a few days here. Owner was lovely and very helpful. My room was very clean and pretty comfortable.

A very nice guesthouse with friendly owners. Large rooms with comfortable beds. Dedicated toilets outside the room. Good value, although a bit far away from the center.

One of the best Places we stayed in Kyrgyzstan. Friendly family, clean room and facilities, perfect parking spot.

Confortable peaceful guesthouse +Absolute silent neighborhood, you'll sleep well +Comfy clean beds +Clean surroundings +Friendly housekeeper -a bit away from the center, however with a 102 number minivan easily reachable (5soms bus ticket) -shared toilet with poor water pressure

Lovely host, helped us arrange a guide and taxi to Ala kul. They understand English and German. Remember to ask if you can shower during the day, the boiler needs some warming up time.

Sergei is the best host! He took really good care of us before and after the hike to Ala Kul. The breakfast is amazing and Bella is a super cute dog.

We stayed here in July. Best accomodation we had in Kyrgyzstan. Hosts are very hospitable, especially if you understand little bit of Russian/other slavic languages. The only downside are the beds, which are little bit less comfortable. The dog Bela is very friendly.

Great place to stay in Karakol! Sergei and his wife are such kind hosts. Nice and clean room with hot shower and a great breakfast. Sergei helped us with any information needed, and we could do our laundry there. Nice atmosphere with the other guests as well. Highly recommended!! Thank you Sergei!

Fantastic guest house. Sergei and his wife are excellent hosts - and Bella the dog was a delight. Rooms were clean and very cosy, the en-suite bathrooms are also a big plus. I highly recommend staying here if you are in Karakol.

We definitely recommend this guesthouse. It offers an excellent value for money, especially compared to other accommodations in Karakol. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The owners are super kind and always ready to help. We did the Ala Kul trekking and they kept our big backpacks for free. The last day the owner even took us to the bus station to help us take the right marshrutka. Also...

Very friendly welcome. Comfortable, clean, and well-equipped rooms. Highly recommended!

There were five of us here, a group of friends; there were no other guests. The hosts were very welcoming, always willing to accommodate your every request. It was clean, warm (we were there in winter), and spacious.

It's a nice cozy place, runs as a family business, very clean well equipped place. The kitchen is shared with everything you need to cook your own meal, or they can prepare you a meal. The place is prepared for families and big groups; washing machine, large dining room, outside you have BBQ and cooking equipments with necessary tools you might need, a sauna to relax in. The host family is a nice welcoming...

Ascar gave us a fantastic welcome! Excellent value for money, clean, and a great breakfast thanks to Gulzat. Friendly and very helpful. Plus, Sona (by reservation) is a must-have! 🥵 Multi-jet shower, perfect for summer or winter after a trek. Everything is at your fingertips thanks to Ascar, who knows everything there and will give you all the information you need to make the most of the Karakol region...

Very clean and welcoming. We tried a couple of rooms and both were immaculately kept. It's a family-run establishment where the mother prepares excellent breakfasts and dinners. We had a wonderful time. They treated us wonderfully. If we were to come back, this would be our first choice.

Great place! Very nice and helpful family. The place is clean and the breakfast is great! Askar speaks good english and can help in organizing your trip. We came back several times and always were happy to come back

The place is super inviting, warm and really well kept. The rooms super nice for the value and great showers. They were super helpful too with making sure everything was good for me. Super lovely lab will greet you maybe and the breakfast was varied and perfect. Overall typical wonderful Kyrgyzstan hospitality. Stay here.

A nice family home with good facilities and many nice amenities included in the room - especially for the price. I payed 1700 som for a room with a balanced and filling breakfast. The hosts are lovely and will go out of their way to help you! They have 2 dogs and a cat

I’d highly HIGHLY recommend Argo Guest House to anyone looking for a place to stay in Karakol. For 36 USD you get a spacious room, a balcony with chairs, a hearty breakfast with fresh fruits and vegetables (porridge unpictured), and refillable water. The host speaks limited English but enough to get by. Laundry service is available at 400 som per load. We were able to wash 2 supermarket plastic bags...

For Karakol's circumstances the rooms and bathrooms are outstanding! I would always prefer guest houses compared to e.g. hostels because you get to know people from around (not from abroad). The big room is great. It has got a balcony facing north so this is great in summer for example, because you don't get the midday sun straight in your room.

We've already stayed twice in this cozy and warm house, where you're welcomed like close family and where they're ready to fulfill your every wish. The very pleasant and welcoming hosts, Kuban and Raushan, and staff members Sergey and Natalya do everything possible to ensure your vacation is truly relaxing. The clean and cozy rooms, the hot sauna, the delicious food made from the finest organic ingredients...

When we arrived, we were absolutely blown away. It was absolutely wonderful. We had such a wonderful time, thanks in particular to the staff, who went out of their way to be polite and friendly, ensuring everything was perfect. We loved every minute of our vacation and highly recommend this guesthouse to families, groups of friends, and practically anyone. Have a wonderful stay!

I've never written reviews, but I really liked this hotel. After long flights and a difficult journey, my family and I decided to stay there, and we were right! Spacious, cozy rooms, polite, friendly, and helpful staff—everything was top notch. And the coolest thing is that you can pay in Bitcoin—a first for me in Kyrgyzstan. Overall, thanks to all the hotel staff for creating a warm atmosphere. Thanks...

Good day everyone! I was on an infrared summer vacation and stayed at this hotel with my family. We really enjoyed it :) The staff was friendly, the food was delicious, the rooms were clean, and the prices were affordable. I think we'll be back at the Tumar Hotel next year.

If you're looking for a great and affordable way to spend your winter holidays, this is the place for you. The location is excellent, it's close to the ski resort, and the prices were very reasonable. Thank you very much, we'll be back.

Really nice place. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, food facilities (towels, soap, hair dryer). Hospitable host and good food. Bonus: the house has many traditional art on the wall.

🇵🇱 To nie jest zwykły nocleg – to doświadczenie, które zostaje w sercu! W Karakolu znaleźliśmy miejsce pełne ciepła i gościnności. Śniadania smakują jak w domu, pokoje pachną czystością, a w ogrodzie rosną jabłka, śliwki i maliny, które można zbierać prosto z drzewa. Domowe konfitury przenoszą w smak dzieciństwa. Janara, mistress, when guests come and visit, we feel like old people. You don’t have...

Nice stay but slightly overpriced for the region.

Charming, has wifi, very good english

I’m not exaggerating when I say this hostel is pure magic. You wake up, open the curtains (or step outside your door), and there they are: the legendary Seven Bulls rocks standing like giants against the sky, with nothing but endless wilderness stretching in every direction. I’ve hiked a lot of beautiful trails, but I’ve never felt so completely surrounded by raw, untouched nature. I think what truly...

A wonderful experience spending the night in a yurt. Beautiful untouched nature. I appreciate the opportunity to communicate with the staff in English, which is not a given in this region. The hygiene in the yurt could definitely be improved – when I wanted to go to the toilet/shower, I had to walk across the yard, where there was horse shit. Thank you for arranging the horse riding.

Getting there was a bit of a hassle, the bridge google map showed was closed and we had a hard time finding the other bridge. However the room was comfortable and the food was really good. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

This guest house sits right below the Seven Bulls. There is a panoramic view through the kitchen windows. In the nearby vicinity one can do different walks through beautiful countryside. The owner speaks excellent English and is very helpful. I really liked the modern kitchen and bathroom with 24 hour hot water. I stayed for two nights in the yurt dormitory which only has 3 beds and is quite spacious...

- Emir Guesthouse is located in a perfect area - in front of the Seven Bulls. Additionally, the village is nice and I really recommend to stay one night - The yurts outside are common rooms and there are also multiple shared bathrooms - Cholpon speaks English and she is very nice and helpful. Additionally, the entire family is very welcoming and they are happy to chat with you - The food (breakfast...

The guesthouse owner speaks great English which made the whole process of booking and making arrangements very fuss-free. He also helped us to arrange the transport from Karakol city center and also horses to get us to the base of Ala Kul pass so that we would be able to get there and back within the day. The guesthouse is super comfortable with heaters and even has flushing toilets/hot water showers...

One of the best stays we had in Kyrgyzstan. Amazing views from the room, super clean, warm rooms and the friendliest hosts. The food was also delicious. They arranged both our horse riding and UAZ trip to Altyn Arashan - everything went smoothly and felt well organized. I would definitely recommend.

Beautiful new guest house, clean and comfortable, the first one you will come across once you arrive! I recommend a stay there they have both shared rooms and private rooms, the owners speak English also 😊

One of the best hotel stays I’ve had. The room was spotless — everything felt fresh, clean, and well-maintained. The bed was incredibly comfortable, perfect for a restful night after a long day. What really blew me away was the view — absolutely breathtaking, like something out of a postcard. You could sit by the window for hours just soaking it all in. On top of that, the internet was unbelievably...

At least a five plus! Hiked up and spent three nights enjoying every moment there. Excellent facilities, warm welcome and information to maximize your chance of making it to the lake. Go for it! Highly recommend . Don't forget to plan some time at the hot springs ♨️

after a long day of hiking nothing better than staying here , lovely family running the guesthouse , excellent facilities, delicious local food, the price also good. We stayed in a yurt, so warm and cozy. Can't recommend it more.

Wonderful Stay for a Cycling Group at Karkara Glamping! We were looking for a place for our cycling group to stay near Karkyra and chose Karkara Glamping (Karkyra, Kyrgyzstan)—absolutely no regrets. This is a yurt camp in Kyrgyzstan where it’s comfortable to sleep, easy to wake up early, and great for lots of hiking. The yurts are clean and warm; they are especially cozy at night. Bedding is new and...

The camp is located in a very beautiful valley, with a lot of possibilities for activities. We visited in the off season, and the staff was very nice, and there is also a good doggo and some calm horses you can ride. The yurt was an amazing place to sleep - make sure to watch the sunrise and take a walk in the hills. The staff also helped us when we had an issue with our rental car. Wish i could have...

A wonderful glamping experience! Was certainly the best accommodation during our one week tour. The yurt room is tastefully furnished and many amenities provided. Location is quiet and peaceful and a lovely place for walks. Meals were provided which were pretty good with adequate choices. Would strongly recommend this place!

I was lucky as I could book this hotel at a good rate. The room (yurt) was fantastic. Most of staff here couldn't speak English. So, I feel a little bit ignored. But if you speak their language, this hotel will be a good choice.

Yurts were fantastic - lovely, warm, comfy. Food was excellent too. Service was a little unusual by Western standards, but appreciated the support from the host :) Excellent walks nearby in the Karkyra Gorge (only 5mins drive away along the river)

Excellent service, the guys were very helpful in choosing the right gear. I highly recommend them.

A wide selection of skis and boards. Thanks to the guys, they found great skis, and I had a blast skiing.

Best Yurt Camp I have been to in Kirghizstan! Quiet, clean, warm, and close to Karakol. Ideally located to start trekking 🥰 Quality Breakfast included

Fantastic yurt camp surrounded by nature. The hospitality, helpfulness, and meals were all perfect! Highly recommended.

Despite a bit of trouble finding the place on our own (google marker was in wrong place but i've now submitted correction), we got there at midnight, and the host still welcomed us in. Simple, but wonderful, and to wake up in a setting next to a roaring river and surrounded by trees, stunning. 4x4 required to get there, and Russian speaking only.

This was my first yurt experience in my life, and it couldn’t have been a better one. Close to snacks, atm, and lovely help by the kind man working at the camp. Highly recommended.

Really nice “city yurt”, everything was very clean, it had electric heater and it was very cozy even on a cold night. Owner was really nice as well as simple yet lovely breakfast, would highly recommend :)

Sleeping in a yurt seemed to be a strange idea, but it worked: I slept there better than anywhere else!. Good breakfast, friendly staff, hot showers, fast wifi. Very nice place.

Great yurt to stay! Clean and nice place to enjoy your holiday. Helpful and friendly host who give us lots of useful advice for our trekking trip.

We spent there three nights in tent and one in the yurt between treks. This camp is absolutely perfect with the manager being very nice and kind. He can arrange transport and give you necessary information about treks, schedules and prices. Breakfast are ordinary. Its a very cosy place to stay. 10/10

Location: nice and centrally located on the main road of Karakol. Easy to find because it's written outside in HUGE writing. Room: Yurts were cold so we opted for a private room instead which came with an electric heater too! Beds were comfy with plenty of thick blankets p Staff: Very friendly staff. Limited English but enough to get directions and arrange breakfast/laundry. After we left Turkestan...

I genuinely wanted to leave a 5-star review because the family here are, on a personal level, super sweet. When we arrived for our almost week-long stay, they welcomed us so warm-heartedly. They frequently invited us for tea, helped us out, and even folded our laundry and put it nicely into the wardrobe. Their kindness felt incredibly genuine, which is why the end of our stay feels so hurtful and disappointing...

One of the absolute best places we stayed in all of the “Stans!” We spent nearly a week here and were very happy with our stay. The rooms each have a private bathroom, were large and very clean and comfortable. The entire place is newly remodeled and very nice. The couple that run the guesthouse are lovely people. It is clear that they truly enjoy meeting travelers from around the world. They spoke...

Very warm welcoming, smiley, helpful, friendly and service minded hosts. Rooms are cozy and exact like photos. You have done a great job Jibek👏👏 P.S. to anyone who want to explore The Altyn Arashan the host is able to arrange a driver with a good price

Emir Guest house was a perfect experience for us. The heart of the house are the owners, they truly made us feel at home with their kindness, warmth, humour and calmness. We have been on the road for 8 months and they are easily the best hosts we have had. They were beyond accommodating - helping us book the Ala Kul trek and even driving us to the start point at a discounted rate. We were cooked a...

Couple running the business are the most lovely people we have met during our travel. They are so helpful, welcoming and friendly - almost like a family. I’m missing you guys ❤️. Breakfast were delicious, rooms were nice n tidt with private bathroom, architecture of the house is really interesting and I find it pretty. I recommend this place 1000% and also hope to come back some day. Take care!
