St Julians, St. Georges Bay 🧭 Map
A nice little hotel. Ultra clean, friendly staff, and relatively quieter than youd expect from the location.
You will just need to bring shower gel, hand soap and whatever else as they dont provide them; and the garden would be quite nice if it was nicely cared for.
If we were to come back to Paceville (probably wont) we would be happy to stay there again.
Based on the reviews, I didn't expect much, but the location is excellent, and the rooms and cleanliness are great too.
Honestly can’t fault this place. Very good location and I got a beautiful view as kindly requested from my room. The decor is a bit worn however but for the price you can’t complain. This is paceville so expect to hear music in the night but it was perfect for me as I was right next to the strip. Doors are locked at night for safety.
Read a lot of views about rude staff and this was not the case. I feel that staff are being rude to and that when you are respectful you are treated accordingly. We arrived early and our room wasn’t ready even by 2pm but by 2.30pm we was assigned another room that was bigger due to the wait. Cleaning staff and reception staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are a bit dated but clean a few things...
Excellent reception, very comfortable, the structure is a bit dated.
Cheap price rooms. Hotel a little rusty but clean. Very close to the beach. And nice restaurants and bars really close.

Mellieha, Triq Dun Belin Azzopardi 🧭 Map
First time visiting this hotel and it was brilliant. Nestled on top of a hill in Mellieha you will need your walking shoe's to get around. This didn't bother us. You are literally right behind Mellieha church which is stunning. The view from the hotel shines right down on Mellieha seafront.
We stopped here for 3 nights in February from the 26th and the weather was amazing. 17-18°c.
The hotel and rooms...
The staff were so lovely here, and the views were amazing ♥️ also really close to lots of restaurants in Mellieha, very easy to walk to - enjoyed our stay here! Only downsides; the room was a bit smaller than we were expecting and the breakfast selection was quite small compared to the hotel we visited in June and maybe 2 of the days we enjoyed the breakfast but the rest there wasn't much choice for...
Stayed here from 20.12.25 to 03.01.26 having booked via Thomas Cook. Great value holiday, bed and breakfast. Fantastic views from my room, which was very spacious, clean and quiet. Staff are super friendly. Located close to shops, cafés and restaurants, and of course bus stops. Only issues were the noisy fridge, a torn bedsheet, a poorly fitting duvet (not wide enough) and the double bed was actually...
Firstly, the good things. Location is very convenient for the town, beautiful church and public transport. Staff were all friendly, breakfasts were OK. Views are obviously stunning being located on the top of the hill. Housekeeping was regular, with rooms tidied daily and towels changed as needed.
The not so good things, rooms are pretty small, the pictures are a bit deceptive. Bathrooms small. Beds...
We stayed for 5 nights and had a lovely experience here. One thing that stands out is definitely the customer service from the staff; Dora in particular was so helpful towards me and my partner. She helped us with renting a car and offered us the chance to check out later due to our flight being in the evening. The location and view from our room was beautiful and peaceful. The room was very clean...
I absolutely loved this hotel! The room was big, the bed super comfortable and the receptionist was extremely nice! And the view from my room! Wow!!
I didn't have the chance to eat breakfast or to use the swimming pool but overall amazing experience.

St. Pauls Bay, Triq il-Bardnell, SPB 1015 Budzhibba, Malta 🧭 Map
Location was good, within minutes of walking from several bus stops with multiple buses. Extremely convenient when visiting Rabat/ Mdina, Mellieħa and Gozo. Room itself was big and well equipped. One of the towels was a bit dirty and some parts were showing its age but other than that the area was generally kept clean. I felt this was extremely worth the price I paid and would certainly stay here again...
Apart from one member of staff the rest of the other staff were excellent they were very helpful curtious polite we couldn't ask for any more.
The breakfast was really good, it was plentyful, had a good range of food and the quality was clean and tasty.
As a budget hotel it was well worth the money we paid and would recommend to others.
We as a family wouldn't hesitate in going back.
Great value for money. You get a lot for the price and the service is first class.
I will come back All was very good!!!Tha breakfast was very tasty,All what You need,to start Your Day!!!
Booked again and loved the stay, easy and comfortable spot however I was disappointed at the towel situation cuz it was idk not clean or burnt I guess??there was a brownish mark, other than that I loved it there again since the staff is very helpful
The air con and ventilation are not working and the room is always very humid and there’s always several insects flying around. The breakfast is quite simple but the sausages & bacons & eggs are way too oily. The juice is quite bad but the coffee/chocolate machine is good enough.

If you’re looking for a basic hotel for a decent price, this is it. Don’t expect anything close to luxurious. Heck there isn’t even a mini fridge in here. At least I had a roof over my head and a place to sleep so this place was alright for me. Thing is though, there are many downsides to this hotel, at least for me. The beds are squeaky and you can hear the pubs all around at night. The window for...

We have never stayed in this hotel before but walked past it every time we visited Upper Barracca Gardens which is literally a two minute walk away.
View from rooftop breakfast area was stunning.
Room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Very dated furniture but suited us. Only extra we would have like would have been a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities, however we knew when confirming...
We booked this hotel 1 night for around 150 euro with breakfast, relatively expensive for what we got. Maybe because it's long weekend there.
It's really good location. Classic old hotel but poor condition. Lifts are charming, small but still working. Our room is hidden in staircase area. We had windows with inner view - mean no view and a bit of sunlight. A/C is old but working (not too strong but...
The location is outstanding. You’re central to everything. Additionally, it’s a straight walk up from the bus station & a funicular ride down to the ferries. The staff is wonderful. They were all very helpful, knowledgeable & friendly. As others have said, the rooms are dated. However, my room served its purpose. It was a decent size & had a fridge. The bed was comfortable. Housekeeping did an...
This hotel is very well located close to the harbour and Valettas other amenities and attractions. The ataff are polite and helpful and the food served at breakfast perfectly good. The hotel is old which is a major part of its charm, but this is offset by ts condition. it's quite run down in places. Out bathroom was in serious need of renovation with many other aspects of the hotel needing bringing...
The location of the hotel was ideal for exploring Valletta with everything you want to see within walking distance. However, the hotel itself is dated and a little rundown. It could do with some major investment. The facilities on offer were very basic and that applies to the breakfast. The staff are friendly and try to be helpful but the condition of the hotel tarnishes everything else.
Old hotel 🏨 facilities Because there is no ventilation system, the room smells a bit damp. The only reason for us to book the hotel is that you can go to Barrakka Gardens and turn left 20 meters away. It costs 1 euro to take the elevator downstairs. The ferry to 3cities (Three Sisters Cities) is across the road. The terminal is very convenient. At the same time, St. John's Cathedral 💒 and Mint Street...

Hotel Flamingo is incredibly good, all praise for the staff, hygiene and kindness. The breakfast is correct, maybe add a little more fresh fruit and vegetables. It is located near the sea, there are many shops and stores around and near the center. Malta is beautiful and has interesting content that should not be missed and a nice experience to drive on the left side🥳
Breakfast was great! But it didn't start until 7 am, and the soundproofing was a bit poor. The hairdryer adapter seemed to have been taken by other tourists, so we had to use our own. The air conditioning didn't feel cold at all, I don't know if it was locked in winter.
A small, easygoing and cozy Hotel, perfect location and friendly staff :)
We had a lovely stay at this hotel! The entire experience was excellent from start to finish. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. They constantly made sure we were comfortable and taken care of.
The location was also fantastic - everything we needed was just a short walk away, making it very convenient for exploring the area. Overall...
Hotel itself was lovely; free tea and coffee provided in the restaurant, friendly receptionists, spacious rooms and very clean. Bed was comfortable. Lots of things within walking distance. Reception is 24/7, so don't worry if you have an early flight and require an early check out.
Main downside was that it got very noisy at night - this noise was outside and beyond the hotel's control, but it did...

My Friend and I (2 students from Germany) went to Malta for 1 week. The stay at the hotel was really nice. The housekeepers were trying to make to stay for us as good as possible. The have been really helpful all the time. There's a 24h service at the reception and whenever you have a question or need some advice they always helped us in a very friendly way.
The quality for the price was replay good...
Fantastic hotel in a great location! Clean and cozy rooms, friendly staff, nice breakfast, excellent service! I could strongly recommend!
P.S: The man working on the reception - Charles - is a great person who gave us extremely good advices and he is eager to help with everything.
We were honored to meet you, Charles! :-)
Amazing place! We were very worried about it judging by others opinions but everything changed when we arrived. Room was extremely clean and fresh. The place is run by its owners (wife and husband). Marsalforn, 2 Michelangelo Refalo Misrah 🧭 Map
The rooms are pretty small, a bit dated, but very clean. Not bad, considering the low price (at least in the off-season). The included continental breakfast was quite good, a nice variety of options including meats and eggs.
Although the rooms were very clean, they were rather small. Very close to seaside shops and restaurants. Our stay was 3 nights.
A lovely, cozy hotel in Marsalforn on Gozo. The staff are very attentive to all guests, the rooms are spotlessly clean, and the breakfast is delicious and of good quality.
There is a small local beach with nice water, and a large sandy beach, Ramla, just 20 minutes away by bus.
The island’s capital is also 25 minutes from the hotel.
This is probably the most charming little place among many towns.
We arrived late after a long day hiking in February and they opened for us. The most comfortable beds and the best breakfast of our trip. They served the usual eggs, ham, toast etc plus local pastries and homemade marmalade. Lovely family run hotel on the seafront.
Wasn't our first visit however it was very disappointig to find the lack of upkeep in the hotel - Thinks that required fixing/replacement three years ago still haven't been fixed, no reception so we couldn't point this out. Otherwise the Hotel location is very central and Breakfast is decent. Probably won't visit again.
The Hotel is very clean and well kept. Our room was very comfortable. The breakfast had a wide selection to choose from. The staff were excellent and courteous. I would highly recommend. A lot of restaurants surrounding the bay were you can have lunch or dinner and enjoy the evening.

This hotel was spotless and the staff was excellent. I stayed here to work in Mater Dei and the location was very convenient for that! The breakfast was simple but good but what really sets this place apart was the staff. From the very start I felt that the staff made me feel very safe and comfortable and were very friendly - Thank you so much!
Perfect small hotel. Clean and comfortable with lovely friendly staff. Good position and quiet for sleeping. Nice little pool area and outside seating. Super value for money. A lovely stay.
The staff and in particular the manageress were excellent.
Lovely small hotel. Perfect for the travelling tourist and in easy reach of the town. We were visiting a sick relative in the local hospital which was an easy 20 minute walk. Good bus service into Valletta. Rooms were spacious, very clean abd quiet. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. A very reasonably priced hotel too.
I selected this hotel as it is very close to the university. Fortunately the weather was good so I could make the short walk through the nature reserve, which had no decent paths out lighting. The journey would be near impossible in the rain, and very difficult in the dark. The hotel was ok, but felt much more like a student hostel. Rooms are very basic and the fridge and/or kitchen are both chargeable...
This hotel has made my trip to Malta much better its safe and quiet

The bathroom is in the room not sharing

Staff is so friendly and helpful. Had a very bad night sleep due to road works just in front of the hotel but apart from that nothing to complain about. Would definitely come back
Great and comfortable hotel located in central Paceville. We stayed here with our infant son, they provided a crib, and had amenities like beach towels and converter plugs available. Delicious breakfast and great pizza restaurant attached. For the price, it's a great place to stay while touring around Malta.
We usually stay here when we come to Malta as it's almost in the middle of everything. The sea is 3 minute walk away. Any pizzeria is almost 3 minutes away, and if you want to eat at the Rokna anyway, they have a restaurant with great selections. Free parking for 1 hour. It's right across the street from the Hilton Hotel. Gift shops are very close. Bus stop even closer to take you to Valetta, Sliema...
Better than staying in Valetta is staying around any hotels in St.Julians bay.
Average hotel. Need some serious maintenance. Never accept the first floor rooms, you will get all the noise from the street...
Malta's oldest pizzeria well worth a visit. It may also Malta's smallest elevator. The rooms are worn and the electrical plug require adapter.

Amazing balcony and spectacular views. Spotless apartments with great kitchen and full range of items needed. Showers were fab and staff lovely. Directly on a bay with access for swimming, bus stop and stroll in town. Highly recommend.
Stunning balcony view. Room decor very tired and desperately needs redecoration. Staff very friendly. Unfortunately, our bedrooms were next to the restaurant kitchen extractor fan which was extremely noisy and unpleasant until the early hours of the morning. We asked the staff if we could move to another apartment but there were no others available. As a result we left a day earlier than planned
Amazing views of the sunrise and isolated from the busy Marsalforn
Can't remember when we first visited Horizon but it has become part of our life. Simply the best views on Gozo with the best located restaurant and the most attentive service. Kind owners polite staff excellent food and roomy elegant Gozo styled accommodation. Damien Edwards.
Position of the apartment is close to ideal, just by the see, facing east... In the mornings you have the privilege of enjoying sunrises over the sea and in the afternoons and evenings you can enjoy in the terrace without strong direct Sun.
However, the apartment itself is quite outdated, wooden furniture which is not my taste. Perhaps someone who likes it, will enjoy it. Other cons are; you can not...

Location is perfect. The apartments are located right on the beach & close to so many bars & restaurants. Bus to Valletta also stops on the same street. I got there very late, no staff available but very good communication via WhatsApp. Able to stay overnight in a very nice and clean place. Bed was very good. Breakfast was provided. Loved it!
First, let me say that the room is close to the airport and clean, which is why we booked it. But the “king” bed is not even a queen—it’s a full, and it was self-check in, when I filtered for hotels. I wanted a front desk. Instead I got a text with instructions for how to access the keys. The owner is nice enough, and again, the place was fine. But it was way too expensive for self-check in to sleep...
Nice room, great breakfast before early flight, big bed, AC works properly. A lot of towels, cozy atmosphere. 20min from airport by foot. Somebody smokes in the hall.
Children are not allowed in the hotel, so I didn't check in, and a lot of the information was unclear, and I couldn't cancel even if I contacted the hotel or Ctrip. I won't choose this hotel next time.
Bus around don’t work till July 4th, and the government don’t make clear notice. So be prepared to take taxi to Valletta if live here. Other than that, very nice place and the owner Marvik is an awesome guy.
Malta government should do a better job.
