3 star hotels in Malta

I recommend this place; it has a good location (within just a few steps from the picturesque waterfront, the harbour and some historic sites, and also with a good connection to public transport of Malta - a few bus stops in the area). The room was very nice and clean, with a comfortable bed. The hosts are very friendly, hospitable and very helpful - they have a lot of tips to make your stay in Valletta...

There's someone on site to talk to, which can be really helpful.

A great place if you're on budget. The staff were very nice, Carmine took my on a small walk around the neighborhood, where he showed me all the shops, bus stops, restaurants...etc The location is excellent, very quiet area and close to Valletta ferry and 3 bus stops

We were really really pleased with this apartment,it had everything we needed,very clean,comfy bed,lovely shower,clean towels daily if we wanted them and the lady kindly cleaned bathroom and topped water up. Perfect for people watching and nice view of harbour,very central,really quiet.I think Clifford has thought of everything!Thanks!would highly recommend.

For location, this gets a 10/10. It is legit right next to Upper Barrakka Gardens in Valletta where you can see amazing sunrises and sunsets (in November, at least; not sure about the rest of the year). Ferries depart at the bottom of the Barrakk Gardens's elevator so if you take any ferry, like to Gozo or Three Cities, it's super convenient. An amazing apartment overlooking Upper Barraka Gardens. Such a fantastic location to walk around Valletta. The apartment was very comfortable and quiet and the host was responsive. The bed was very comfortable and thoughtful touches were included - tea, coffee, water etc. The room was also serviced daily. We could not think of a better place to stay when exploring Valletta and we would highly recommend

The small hotel with few apartments was in an abolutely fine location - just inside the old city and next to peacefull upper barrak gartens. Room with an OK interior - a bit old / outdated but fully functional. An issue was handled within hours - fine. Bathroom fine and the large bed really good. Internet connection super.

It Is very clean, everything what you need you have in your room, excellent location, quite but still in the middle of everything, near all bus stops, markets and restaurants.

Room is clean and basic. Air con is great Hallway very noisy all morning with people hanging around in there. My room is a single near the entrance hall. Cant open the door to the outside area. Items left by others ( I think) wash up liquid, shower gel etc

You can see the idea for the place and the history. The damp has done its job, the bathroom shows uninteresting stains. A few things don't work. Staff very helpful.

I had a lovely stay there. It's very well located close to the ferries to Malta, walking distance of late night supermarkets, restaurants and lots more! The host is friendly and easy going and has interesting knowledge to share.

The hotel is very well located in Sliema, it is close to everything, (beach, ferry, supermarket...) the staff is very responsive and very nice, towel and sheet provided on arrival. A washing machine and a dryer are available to wash your stuff which is very convenient. The hotel is very secure with a code at the entrance and cards to enter the rooms. I would come back to this hotel if I were to return...

You get what you pay for... very basic facilities, rather poor design and upkeep but a pretty convenient location and good price.

Had a lovely stay. Apartment spacious and well equipped. Good location. Lovely family, the water is boiling - my husband sustained a painful and extensive burn to his back and bum from the shower. Worried if this happened to a child

Me and my wife stood at the lantern guest house for 7 nights and the only thing to say about this it was absolutely wonderful. Joseph and his family are so helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very delicious everything there you need for a good start in the day. You want to stay in marsalforn at gozo go there. Nice clean rooms and just perfect for enjoyable stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was okay. Shower was great and room good for my one night stay. The air-conditioning works with coins. I opened the balcony door and the window in the toilet, the cross breeze was enough for me to sleep.

Very nice and charming family-run guesthouse. Cosy and nice rooms, well kept and good cleaning. Excellent and very caring staff, always there to make you feel cared for in every way. Great breakfast, served in the most charming breakfast room.

Very friendly and helpful in getting me checked in after very late arrival around 3am. Great location super close to beach, restaurants and bus stop. Comfortable and clean room. No major noise heard from nearby restaurants nor traffic going past in the road although I was on first floor and some noise from breakfast room does carry if you're looking for a lie in.

The accommodation was clean (new clean towels every day), and the shower was excellent with strong water pressure. Not a bad little apartment, clean and in a good area. Only issue is the building work right outside the property! Banging and drilling starts at 7Am.

I really liked the familiar atmosphere. The rooms where very clean and with new furniture. I liked everything and I am pretty sure to book a room at VelaBlu Boutique Guest House when coming back to Malta!

We really liked to stay there, was always clean and there's a modern furniture and good air conditioning. We even were able to extend our stay very easily. Would go there again.

Honestly. Are any of the apartments there clean? I have visited a few and they all look like some kind of hippy colony. This place could be a real gem if it was taken care of!! What a shame.

Very calm village with an amazing view, just 15min walking downhill to closest beach and has holiday houses for rent with access to a swimming pool!

Our stay at Electra Guesthouse was just perfect! We had a double room with a private bathroom and balcony overlooking the ocean. To our delight, towels were refreshed and our room was cleaned spotless daily. Considering the prices of other accommodation we stayed at in Europe - this was by far the best value for money and an absolute bargain. The reason for this star rating is because the Manager was amazing and so was the room... Has for the Service received for Breakfast no Stars... No Menu was offered , Waiter had Bad Attitude, Breakfast not even that edible... Would I stay there again No Ways

A decent stay.. Nice accommodating staff..break fast included in the bill and its worth .. you need to carry coins for A/c ( i am not sure all rooms followe the same system) if you are person with walking difficulties ask before you book only thing lacking a lift

Only had meals there and the breakfast was very good. The chef obliged when we asked for something off the menu ... smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Yum. Had their pizza one evening and wouldn't write home about it.

Hotel was great, clean and check in was easy. Included towels and shower gel, but no toothpaste. Kitchen was available for everyone to use but the hob was not working. Location was not too far from the centre, quite well connected so easy to take bus wherever you need to go. Overall enjoyed my stay and would book again.

A good budget option hotel. The hotel has an arrangement with a nearby restaurant for breakfast Full English excellent. My Seaview room had a wonderful view and balcony. Bus stop and ferry close to hotel.

Stayed there before so knew where everything was. They didn’t do breakfast which I knew. My room was very small and always single rooms seem to be at the back of hotels in odd little corners. On the plus side the buses are outside the door and there are shops including a supermarket close by. The hotel sits right on the promenade which is really lovely.

Facing the sea, the view is amazing. The room is clean and the bedding is clean. The only downside is that there are always all kinds of noises in the middle of the night. Sometimes it is very loud and wakes people up. However, the hotel is in a good location and convenient for transportation.

I was quite worried when I read quite a number of negative opinions about this hotel. Starting from positives: fantastic and kind staff (Ms. Elena - hotel manager was very responsive and super reactive, reception team open, available and always present, cleaning team - really working hard with a smile every day). My visit to the guesthouse met my expectations. The rooms are new and renovated, clean, and well-equipped: electric kettle, coffee maker, iron, and hairdryer. Daily room cleaning is a plus. The breakfast is very good, with something for everyone. And last but not least, the best staff in the world! I highly recommend it.

I've stayed in beautiful hotels all round the world but this one would rate as perfect as it can get. Admittedly no bar or restaurant but as we are surrounded by them ,it's no problem. I'm here now and everything is open in Malta. Last minute trip but I'm definitely coming back..

Check-in and luggage storage are handled by Hotel 115. This hotel is like a regular apartment building. You enter the building with your room key. Good value for money for a 3 star Good location in Sliema. I wanted a central location between St Julian and Valletta, with a short walk to the ferry. Room was modernised in a basic building, and also spacious too for a standard accommodation.

Very nice and large rooms, well decorated. Handy we have the breakfast everyday across the road. However, I was on level 2 and it was quite noisy in the mornings.

The Urban Rooms is located in another building than the reception. The Urban rooms is locked when you arrive and there is a note sayting you must get your key in Hotel 115, in the next street.

Check was a little confusing at first then instructions give a door code for the room, I stayed in room 1 (Ghenba) and teh code didn't work but I contacted staff who quickly sorted it out and it's an actual key.
