I’m fortunate enough to travel the world for perspective. Initially, we were not impressed with this accommodation. Just looked a little bit run down, leaves around just missing initial presentation. We had the last room which was room five stairs up to our room had an old town and litter on them and the next day the room along the corridor was being renovated as were the stairs which made going past not the best experience. The room was clean, but the blanket on the bed for display was old as were the Bath robes which we didn’t wear but couldn’t help noticing that they looked like they wereover 10 years old! Towels weren't the best hit either. We had three black moths in our room and some mosquitoes which put us off considerably. HOWEVER- This Riad was definitely a grower … the breakfast was wonderful. The pool was cute and had a nice bar area although quiet when we were there as I think it was the beginning of the season as lots of maintenance work was ongoing around uswhich didn’t go down particularly well when I was snoozing! It’s cute this place, we saw the deluxe rooms and they looked lovely and I think our experience would’ve been much more positive. This Riad is very Moroccan and has the potential to be so much better so easily. As it’s a small property, I think it would’ve been nice for the owner to come and introduce himself and chat to us which over to much prefer doing rather than on here. The location is perfect. Down a few alleyways like most of them but very safe. We really liked the people of Morocco very friendly, not pushy. Even though this review is slightly negative I think that if the property had been ready completely for its guests and we have been in adifferent room then I probably would have said that it had the potential to return to.

We had some difficulty with the airport pickup but the owner was very helpful and the riad also made up for it. It's in great and safe location. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was truly amazing, everything that we wished for all fresh. It has a great pool and sunbeds downstairs and on the rooftop as well. Cameras are installed everywhere for our safety. Rooms are very clean and pretty. Loved to stay here.

The owner at Riad Chergui is a real treasure. Her enthusiasm is infectious and she is a joy to talk with. She went out of her way to help us several times. The riad is lovely and the food very good. She had great recommendations of what to see in Marrakech and how to avoid the typical tourist downfalls. I felt she really cared about us and wanted us to have the best experience possible.

Very kind staff; Rooms were quite clean. Exellent location for walking to the medina. Riad was difficult to find and not suitable for anyone with mobility issues; narrow and steep open staircases to rooms. Moroccan breakfast served family style in the mornings. Riad is quite chilly in the winter months - probably lovely in the hot weather. Shower water pressure was excellent. Rooms really need more electric outlets; we could either charge our phone or have the light on.

Great stay at this Riad Excellent breakfast every morning and I must give a mention to the cleaning ladies they were fab. We also had a great massage from the lovely lady who works there Worth every penny . The location is also very good close to most of the attractions . The only thing would be for me is to change the sun beds after breakfast as they aren’t ever in the sun but that’s just my opinion .

Although very pretty and nice pool and staff the beds were small and had not blanket or duvet.

Cozy, English-speaking spot that serves good and inexpensive food. Best of all, the money goes toward promoting social programs to empower women.

Our family went to the cafe for lunch. My daughters wanted a Henna tattoo and they were so patient and well done I got one as well! Food was good and great teas :)

I read great things about this cafe and opted to go here, bringing my sister along, over any other henna artist in the city. While my sister's henna ended up being good, mine was smudged while the artist was transferring me over to the drying area and then was half-way fixed after the fact. The older female artist noticed my distress over the messy areas and tried to fix them, but given that it has partially dried, the henna had already stained some. When I asked the owner whether the smudged areas would show he said yes, they would appear a bit messy. I then asked whether it could be fixed and he said that I could wash it off and try again. Not wanting to go through the 45 minute-long process over again, I asked if a slight discount could be taken given that the finished product was less than perfect, through no fault of my own.

He stated that no discount could ever be given and I could either wash it off and leave (the tint already having partially dyed my skin) or I could pay full price. He then, aleady defensive and angry, briefly spoke to the artist in Arabic, who told him that I had moved during the drying (several others there can attest that I did not). Contradicting his earlier statement, he went back and said that it would look just fine once I took it off, not messy at all. We left having paid full-price at a premium rate (given the reputation of the cafe), as I didn't want to further disturb other clients, for henna that was messy. The beauty of henna is that it's imperfect, but clean lines are desired in nearly any form of hand art. This is just shoddy work and poor business practice.

Excellent restaurant in the heart of Marrakech. Service was quite pleasant, and the food had a distinct French twist- a welcomed change from local Marocan cuisine.

Tacky decor. Ridiculously overpriced for distinctly average food. Avoid. Avoid.
