Dar Taliwint in Marrakech

We booked online after reading reviews, the owner, Lénaïck arranged a driver to meet us at airport arrivals, and met us at the Riad to introduce himself and give a quick intro to the surrounding area. Lovely traditional Riad very close to all souks and attractions. Clean and secure location, The 2 ladies that cook breakfast are very friendly and helpful. Overall a great place to stay and recommended,

We were met from the airport transfer (arranged by Dar Taliwint) by Lénaïck - the French host & owner of this Riad. He is SUCH a charming & wonderful man.
On arrival he gave us some delicious local sweet mint tea, and oriented us in simple terms, so we wouldn't get lost around the labyrinth of alleyways that is Marrakesh.
The Riad is of classic style, sympathetically & beautifully restored to its former glory, based around an open courtyard. Moroccan furniture, lamps & personal paraphernalia adorn the Riad.
There is a rooftop terrace with seating & games, and a fab view over the city.
Breakfast is freshly cooked every morning by 2 lovely ladies who work there. Coffee, freshly squeezed juice, fruit, fresh bread, eggs etc etc will see you right for the day.
Honest and humble, this is the perfect base to explore the city.

Excellent location, within walking distance to the Bahia Palace and Djemma El Fnaa. Lénaick is friendly, helpful and attentive. He marked all the places of interest on a map when we checked in, explained to us the easy way to get to and from the riad so that we wouldn't get lost, and was always on hand with suggestions and answers to questions. The breakfast was delicious, a good mix of Moroccan and continental food. When we checked out at 6.30 am on the last day, Youssef packed us some breakfast to take with us. The riad is gorgeous and the room was very comfortable. Though we were not the only guests staying at the riad, we always felt as if we had the entire place to ourselves. I cannot recommend this place strongly enough.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic and varied breakfasts every morning. Riad is in an amazing location, just on the edge of the souks so you can get easy access to them, but can also enjoy peace and quiet in the Riad. Also right next to Tinsmith Square where there are some excellent restaurants that offer great value and nice views.

The room was lovely and had an amazing shower. Very cool in the room also. Also had a new air-con unit that worked very well. The room was always clean and was cleaned every morning by the friendly Riad staff.

Lenaick, the Manager/owner of the Riad is a lovely and genuine person. He ensured we had a lovely stay and arranged airport pickup and drop off for us as well as a fun day trip.

Excellent value for money. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Marrakech :D

This riad is located on a quieter alley near Bahia palace, but still super walkable to all the medina sites. The alley was well lit in the evening and easily accessible by car, as there is a car park very close by. The service was excellent, as Lenaick arranged our airport pickup and stayed up to past midnight to greet us, and still gave us the most delicious mint tea when we arrived! Everything was as good as the pictures; breakfast was filling. The only critique is that the beds were only serviceable, but not overly comfortable.

Dar Taliwint is very well located inside Marrakech Médina but this is not the only good point about it.

The full Riad was renovated with the same material and tools from the original construction.

The owner, Mr. Lénaick, is the best host, and he had explained us about the restoration, about the Médina and gave us a great welcome tea.

The staff is so friendly and helpful that we felt they work with their heart on it. They clearly love what they do, so they keep the whole Riad very tidy and clean.

Our room had many blankets and heater for the cold winter, also in the fabulous bathroom we had a Moroccan soap and Shampoo d’Argain for our usage.

In the mornings we had always a great breakfast with fine home made jams and always a special cheese for our delight.

Its terrace is amazing and you will have a great view over the city of Marrakech.

Don’t think twice and stay here if you are coming to Marrakech.

We will definitely stay here again soon.
