Les Borjs de La Kasbah in Marrakech

Building on all the previous excellent reviews : I loved the details so many luxury hotels forget ; wonderful high quality cotton sheets , heated towel rails , magnifying make up mirrors, gorgeous artisan toiletries including cotton pads and cotton tips . The weather was bad , but I still had a good time .. though with good weather it must be even more enchanting to stay here . Everything is done with exquisite taste and warm hospitality. If there is an issue the staff go the extra mile to not only solve it , but further enhance your stay … so much appreciated the kindness of Nora , Hamza and all the staff. The hamman and spa is a must This hotel surpasses the best luxury hotels … thank you for a wonderful first stay - I will return with friends and family The food and cuisine is delicious and reasonably priced

Loved every minute of our holiday . All the staff were so friendly , helpful and lovely people and I mean all the staff. The food in the restaurant was wonderful plenty of choice and well priced. Our room was brilliant and the size of the bathroom felt like we were VIP even if it was a standard twin and the whole road had a dreamlike quality from its rooms to the facilities to the small quiet areas to relax . I cannot recommend les borjs de la kasbah enough , we will be back xx

This is an excellent hotel with fantastic staff, who couldn’t be more friendly and attentive. The room (205) was spacious and overlooked the dining courtyard. The en-suite was also very spacious. Although we had a set menu for dinner because we stayed half board, which was very good, the à la carte menu had a great variety and was reasonably priced. The local wine was surprisingly very good as was the Casablanca beer. The swimming pool area is tranquil and overlooked by the spa facilities. The water was at the right temperature and not too deep. The hotel is well located in the southern part of the city with all the main sites within walking distance or you could take a taxi to any of the main attractions. We did a walking tour on the first day to see the sights and acquaint ourselves with the layout of the city. Cycling tours are available from Green Wheels which is 50 yards from the hotel. We decided to do our own thing and hired bikes for the morning at a cost of 5euros each, which is extremely reasonable. Going solo is not to be recommended for the faint hearted as the traffic is manic with cars, motorbikes and donkeys jostling for position.

A lovely traditional style hotel within the old city walls in the Kasbah area in Marrakesh. There are three things beautiful about staying here. One is the building itself which is a beautiful renovation of five old houses to make a really stylish and comfortable and quiet hotel. The rooms (picture) are so attractive and well presented. The second is the food in the restaurant, both the breakfasts with lots of freshly prepared dishes and then the dinners in the wonderfully atmospheric courtyard is an experience in itself. The third is the staff - they are so welcoming, helpful and efficient. They always have time for you, and make you feel an honoured guest and friend. Do find out about the history of the renovation. Do sample the breakfast pastries (home made) and do taste the Lamb Tagine for dinner. They also have a superb selection of Moroccan wines and, as we run a wine society in our village in England, we took advantage and tasted 4 of the 5 reds while we were there. All really excellent. Shame we weren't staying longer to finish the list! The pool is well maintained and we could see from our bedroom window that it was being fully serviced every morning. My wife enjoyed her massage in the spa, at a very reasonable price. The only slight downside is that it is a 20 minute walk to the main square, but on the plus side the distance adds to the quietness of the street the hotel is in.

Tucked away in the Kasbah area of the old town this is a beautiful Riad constructed out of several properties in the early 2000s. It is clear a lot of thought and love has gone into the property, which is full of Moroccan charm. Whilst the Medina is absolute chaos, Les Borjs provides a peaceful escape. Its a 20-30 minute walk to the main square and souks, with plenty of street food and cafe options along the way (the staff provide guests with a local map and talk through the main sites and best routes). An excellent breakfast is included with fresh fruits, juices, omelettes, cakes, etc (there is no in-room coffee facilities). Service is outstanding with nothing too much trouble - the team will gladly answer any questions about the area, arrange taxis, etc. and there are also some trips bookable from the hotel. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if visiting Marrakech.

Was welcomed warmly to this exquisite riad..my room was just beautiful...the in house hamman out of this world...breakfast delicious and so much to choose from. The pool was a relaxing experience where I enjoyed a delicious lunch as was dinner in the courtyard in the evening. Being a solo traveller the warm hospitality was appreciated

We had a lovely stay at Les Borjs de la Kasbah as part of an OAT Tour. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, bring your swimming suit as there is a gorgeous pool. The location is an easy walk to the main square with lots of shops along the way. Dining options are good both in the hotel and near by. You can also rent a bike across the street. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and welcoming.

This Riad is as good as it gets. I could not have wished for a better hospitality experience. Beautifully decorated, comfortable room with strong water pressure in the shower and a robust aircon, excellent bedding, no outside noise, a swimming pool to dream of and a truly delicious breakfast all made in-house with attention to healthy, natural ingredients and special spices. Nora, the hotel manager graciously took time to explain the local culture to me, made sure my laundry was tended as well as my take-away meal, with attention to all the details. Thank you Nora for being a first rate hospitality professional. One additional advantage of this Riad is being situated where parking is available just outside in case you have a rented car, and staff will help with your luggage. I am already dreaming about coming back for an extended stay.

Stunningly beautiful and tranquil. I feel thoroughly pampered and chilled! Fantastic attention to detail in the design, service and food which is very high quality and big portions! Pool area and roof terrace are both very beautiful and relaxing areas to just be and there are so many other areas to go and hide to read and relax! I loved the coffee and chocolate Hammam which smelt lush! The massage that was part of the treatment was with luxurious shea butter. I didn't want to wash it off the next day! I wanted a beautiful quiet place as a retreat and this place was perfect. Staff are so kind and helpful too. Thank you so much everyone!

What a gorgeous Riad restored beautifully with attention to detail, lovely super helpful staff and Nora & Tom make you feel sooo at home, great location 15 mins by foot to the main square 10 to the Bahia Palace/Saadian tombs, quiet bliss in the midst of the hustle & bustle! with a great sized pool. Arranged airport transfers perfect. Loved my hammam, great breakfast choice, miss my omelettes and great food in the evening. Everything works and I slept so well. I had a look at other rooms too for my return they are all beautiful. True authentic experience with a big touch of chic. Nora thank you for my teapot, I will be bringing the family back. Thank you

Authentic Riad with super-professional team; having stayed there twice, the enthusiastic and positive reviews from other guests are no surprise. It's located in a quieter spot near to the old palace and is within 5 minute walk from main thoroughfares. The team are extremely helpful and accommodating; food and dining is authentic and good.
