Hotel Alexander, Amsterdam1 / 27
8.4
North Holland, Amsterdam, Vondelstraat 44-46 🧭 Map
We really enjoyed our stay at hotel Alexander, great location, lovely courtyard and lounge area.
Fuss free stay at this hotel, quite close to the 397 bus to airport & bed was firm enough. I slept well. Old building so there is some noises but it wasnt too bad in the night. Shower was good water pressure
The staff were all fantastic! There were problems the entire stay with internet and the room was mediocre as we were unable to control the room temperature and the shower water leaked into the bathroom every time someone showered.
Wonderful! Great location, warm and friendly staff, coffee in lobby all day. Rooms are small, but we keep coming back for the friendliness of staff and fabulous location.
Friendly staff, clean, great location, great lobby with coffee all day. Rooms are small, but we’ve stayed here twice and love its location and ambience.
The room was very small but clean and cozy. I slept well. The bathroom was larger than many others I experienced in Europe and the shower did not send water all over the floor. The staff was friendly. The free coffee/tea in the lobby was appreciated. The location was convenient but on a quiet street that was safe and relaxing. The train station was a 10-15 minute walk away. I would stay here again...

Beachhouse Hotel, Zandvoort1 / 29High rating
8.9
North Holland, Zandvoort, Boulevard Barnaart 59 🧭 Map
Surely it’s a bit over advertised. The room is much smaller than expected. The photos they used look much larger you know. Plus, I really don’t like the bathroom as they don’t have a door for the shower!! The bathroom floor got flooded once you start to take a shower I mean the view is so great that’s undoubted. But I still feel the cost is too high given the room settings.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The view of the sea was absolutely beautiful and made our visit extra special. We also really appreciated that complimentary coffee and tea were available throughout the entire day. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. We would gladly stay here again!
Great little hotel by the beach. Breakfast was very nice and the rooms are exceptional good(we had family rooms). We would definitely come again.
Beachhouse hotel is right on the beach and convenient for the cycling trip that we were on. The reception people were very helpful and checkin was easy and quick. There is bike storage and the hotel is easy to get to while cycling the National Park trails. Highly recommend the hotel for the remote feeling and the beach is quick to access.
Incredible staff and amazing location with so much to do and experience.
All the staff are very friendly and willing to accomodate any requests you may have, the hotel is small enough to have a family feel but located right above the beach, which is a sandy one,to also feel like you are on holiday. Breakfast is an event with all you could want and that is if you want to leave the room, clean, spacious and my choice, with an unbroken view of the beach and sea.

Nice location and decent room.
Small and clean room, just nice for 2 people. Walking distance to attraction places.
The hotel is really good and very convenient.
Excellent location, close to all the main attractions, about a 20-minute walk away. Also conveniently located near tram and bus stops. The hotel has an elevator and heated hallways. The room was a perfect 10. We were on the 3rd floor and had a nice view. The hotel reception staff were very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

The place was perfect for visiting, people were nice and it was calm. There is a lift for you and your luggage. The room was clean and comfortable. Only issue was that I couldn't control the heating and it was really hot. Just need to open the window to have the right temperature
The room was small but it was clean and enough space for two people. Staff were friendly and breakfast was good. The area was very nice and walkable!
Lovely family run hotel. Very clean. Reception manned 24/7. Comfortable lounge bar and battio area. Tea and coffee all day on free vend in the breakfast room. Has a lift. Perfect quiet location 300yards from the entrance to the vibrant city. Perfect for us.
The location of this hotel was amazing! Super close to most of the popular museums, the hotel staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was everything we needed. Definitely will be staying here next time I visit Amsterdam!
Room is clear and amended with all that is needed for a stay in Amsterdam, There is no kettler or refrigerator in the room. Also the coffee which is available for free in the kitchen is not allowed to drink in the room. But there is plenty of food and drink around the city so it is not the minus. The bathroom is perfectly clean and smells nice. Hotel is situated in the beautiful neighbourhood in an...
Don’t go there if you’re claustrophobic. Sweet, small rooms, great staff, relatively clean too much carpets for my taste and allergy, but overall a pleasant experience. Notes : the whole place smells like old cake.

Clean room, great location, and incredible staff. Super informative and very helpful - would recommend this hotel to anyone. A short walk from Amsterdam Central Station and tourist spots so ideal place to stay.
Highly recommend this property. Great location, especially if you need to be close to the main train station. A great quirky vibe, enhanced by our canal-facing rooms.
We got a medium room, and it was comfortable although small by USA standards. It was clean and the staff was wonderful. We got the hotel breakfast 2 of our 3 days and it was very good, and a better value compared to what we found walking around the city. The hotel is close to the train station and canal tour organizations. It is along walk to museums, but an easy tram ride. Trams 2 & 12 go north...
The staff were so genuinely helpful and kind. I felt immediately warmly welcomed and considered. The room was ideal for our layover, 15/20 mins from the airport and walkable to everything! Canal facing made it extra special.
All good. convenient location, located walking distance from train station, good breakfast
Hands down the location is absolutely amazing, on a quiet corner near the canals and the view is amazing. Not much noise from the streets yet the sound proofing of the old building is bad, you can easily hear the stairs, front door or other rooms. (Ear plugs were used to guarantee quiet sleep). I stayed over the summer time and even though there is a fan to blow air, the room gets too hot and missing...

Lovely staff and amazing location, would definitely recommend to people we know.
A nice boutique hotel. Location is fantastic. Small lobby, small breakfast dinning area but generally they have everything. Free flow coffee and tea too all day long. Hotel room reasonably size, which is almost similar to most hotel. Friendly counter staff too. Overall good!
Cute hotel with a nice location, just 5-7 mins walk from Centraal station. Also very accessible to centraal canals. Pretty spacious room, although the room is slightly tilted which makes us feel dizzy especially at night.
Most hotels in Europe are probably like this, but it's best to assume there won't be many amenities. I went in with that expectation, so it wasn't an issue at all. The hotel staff were incredibly kind from check-in to check-out, which I really appreciated. It's very reasonably priced, and I'd love to stay here again if I have the chance. The pasta place nearby is also amazing; I went two days in...

Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam - City Hall by IHG, Amsterdam1 / 30
8.7
North Holland, Amsterdam, Valkenburgerstraat 14-16 🧭 Map
Even though it's a budget hotel, the room amenities exceeded my expectations. I'm not sure if it's because I was traveling with an elderly relative, but the room was fully equipped with fall-prevention devices, which was incredibly thoughtful. The bathroom was almost half the size of the room itself. Aside from the price, I'd happily stay here again.
The room was a bit small, but clean and tidy. It's located by the roadside, yet surprisingly quiet at night. It's a 20-minute walk to the central station and about ten minutes to the old town, making it convenient for shopping and dining. The only downside was the breakfast, which was a bit too simple 😄.
Small modern hotel which was very clean and comfortable.  The staff were very welcoming and helpful.  Very nice continental breakfast and they were happy to make us a breakfast on the go bag for our early departure on our last day.  Location is good approximately 15/20 minutes walk into the centre.  I would recommend this hotel and would visit  again.
Excellent, highly recommended! Had a wonderful experience!

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Amsterdam - NDSM Wharf, Amsterdam1 / 30
8.7
North Holland, Amsterdam, NDSM-Plein 28 🧭 Map
I purposely booked this hotel because it was out skirt of the city centre. Less touristy. There was parking available next to the hotel. There wasn’t a hotel bar available but next to hotel there was a Japanese restaurant. To get some drinks. So if you want to get out of the city centre and get some rest, I would recommend this place
Our early 2026 stay at the Hilton Amsterdam was a highlight of our trip. Located in the elegant and quiet Apollolaan neighborhood, the hotel offers a sophisticated escape from the city center's bustle while remaining within a 15-minute tram ride of major sites.
Excellent overall. The service was exceptional, facilities very modern, and the river view spectacular. Our only issue was the location. We were at the Hilton in central Amsterdam and were informed it wasn't the hotel we'd booked. It wasn't a big problem, as we were only a few kilometers from the correct hotel.
The location is inconvenient; you have to take a ferry to get to the main attractions.
Hotel is located right by the ferry port which is free to use to take to the city centre making the location ideal. Room is really nice and so is the bathroom. Staff at checking in was friendly and overall the experience was great.
Very comfortable, great scenery, with a sense of design, if you like a large room, please skip it

I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Nicolaas Witsen from 18–20 February and couldn’t fault it. The hotel is very modern, spotlessly clean, and extremely comfortable. Perfect romantic getaway in Amsterdam! My girlfriend and I just spent two wonderful nights (February 18-20) at Hotel Nicolaas Witsen, and it was everything we hoped for and more! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly—they made us feel so welcome and were always ready with tips, directions, or just a smile. The hotel itself is beautifully modern: our room was spotless...
The location is just perfect. Staff is amazing, the very kind lady explained the places to visit in the city in detail and all the staff was so nice and helpful. Rooms are clean. 10/10 The two negative points are: 1- the room is really not well isolated we could hear the neighbours talking and walking. 2- The hotel doesn’t provide sleepers. It’s a very good hotel overall !
Great boutique hotel!!!! The staff were all fantastic! They made me feel welcome. I got the best advice for places to eat and places to go for gin tastings!!! The room was spotless and made up when I requested cleaning. Loved the breakfasts! The eggs were made to order by the sweetest chef in the business. The gin and tonics at the bar were great too. Ask for the Old Genever.
We had a lovely stay at this hotel! The rooms are compact but that's no surprise in Amsterdam. There is still ample storage and we really appreciated having the little fridge. Our room had a giant window that could open so the room never felt stuffy. The bed, duvet and pillows were INCREDIBLY comfortable and just what we needed after a long journey to the city. An excellent hotel. If you list want to do your thing and want a room only then, this is for you! Great location for all you need.
Great area that was walkable, close to public transport and lots of restaurants and local sights. We checked in super late due to a delay and had to call (not at door) but they were there and got us in quick. Friendly staff. A bit far from the train station, and we were on a lower floor so it wasn't very soundproof. However, the room was very clean, the shower pressure was excellent, and the front desk staff was super helpful with our luggage. Plus, there's free afternoon tea and snacks daily. When we checked out, they even gave us a big bag of snacks (drinks, two large packs of nuts, KitKat chocolate), so the service...
Super stay, friendly and helpful staff and got a free goodie bag😍 with local treats.
Clean and beautiful room! Loved this little hotel!!! The staff were friendly, helpful, easy to work with at checking- so full of helpful information. They have danish each day! The room was for 1 person only. We booked a year ahead of time and our cruise ship room was bigger than the hotel. Also the elevator did not go to our room and we had to lug our luggage up and down steep stairs.

North Holland, Amsterdam, Herengracht 137 🧭 Map
The room was cold and could not be increased. We have filtered the search with Breakfast included but it was not. Breakfast is available so it’s misleading. It also says parking in the area for 35€ but that parking is outside of Amsterdam and we need to take a train into town. Also misleading. Otherwise it was okay, clean and pretty quiet.
Great hotel in the perfect location walkable from most of the main areas, hotel was lovely inside and out great views of canal and decorated lovely for Christmas, staff where helpful and I would definitely stay again.
We only stayed one night and had a large, very spacious room on the top floor room overlooking the canal. Breathtaking views and the room was very comfortable. One bath towel was ratty, there was dust on the end table, the water jugs were dirty and the fridge not very cold. But we could easily over look the deficiencies as the view and spaciousness was amazing!
Lovely front desk staff. Big caution if stairs are a problem or have large luggage. We were assigned room on 5th floor, elevator only goes to 4th. Narrow, spiral stairs to 5th floor. They don’t help you with luggage. They reassigned us a room on 4th floor but still had several sets of small stairs to get to room. Believe it or not, we also had 3 steps in the room up to the bed. Great room but if stairs...
Great great location! Cute place. Staff is very nice . The best boat cruise departs across the canal. Towels are lackluster, but overall the room was very nice. Definitely recommend
The hotel is in a convenient location and most things are walkable. However, upon arrival we were assigned a room on the 5th floor. The elevator only goes up to the 4th floor with a narrow winding staircase allows one to access rooms on the 5th floor. Upon discovering this I requested a room on a lower floor. So not sure where to start with this one.. Upon booking I messaged and asked the hotel was it okay to get an early check-in and they said yes it’s all good as I told them we get to Amsterdam for 7.30am they let us check-in our room as soon as we got there we had the secret bookcase room.. Brilliant room beds comfy we then decided to extend our trip a few days changing room to another which was an old...
Well, the room I booked was completely different from the one we got. They said it was due to a small renovation, but honestly… I’m used to the amenities and hospitality standards in Japan, so overall it felt lacking. I’m not really enjoying the stay as much as I expected. I guess my expectations were too high 🤷🏻♀️ — lesson learned.
Nice location and Everything was clean and perfect. It was cozy and we had a great stay here. We booked again as we love the neighborhood here. It was the best. Near tram station

Not sure why some reviews are so poor. This hotel was excellent! Great accommodating staff, perfect location (tram a couple minute walk), lovely local restaurants, markets, and more! I absolutely loved choosing this hotel and would definitely be back when visiting Amsterdam. Thank you staff at Amadi Park for everything ⭐️
The hotel is located quite conveniently. The reception is not on the ground floor, in general it is not a problem. The room was not large, but quite comfortable. There are traces that the hotel is not new and the sink was not perfectly clean. But in general it is normal. The hotel is suitable for 1-3 nights.
The hotel is in the city center and can reach various attractions on foot. The hotel is clean and tidy, and there is a smoking area. Although the breakfast is simple, the quality is very good. I will book it again next time.
Very nice for the great price.
Pros: Clean room, serviceable dorm style lodging, good location. Cons: WiFi is slow and limited, half my stay I couldn't sign in. Lighting is very dim, bed can feel cramped. Opened my door at 9:30 AM asking if I wanted my room cleaned, which was a bit invasive

The lobby and lounge area were nice. The staircase was cramped, and the room was okay, though the bed was small. The front desk was very welcoming.
This boutique hotel looks cute for its design, but their business practices are dishonest! I felt uncomfortable with how they treated customers. First, the room I received was not what I had paid for based on the pictures in the app. During my one-night stay, they claimed the hotel was fully booked and offered me a “special arrangement” in a secret annex. I was taken aback and suspected it was staff...
I chose a very small room type, however it was enough for one person. The location was good and the hotel was modestly decorated and clean. I would stay there again.
The lady that checked me in when I arrived on the 7th December at around 11am was so so friendly and welcoming. She anticipated all questions I wanted to ask and have me an update as soon as my room was ready. She was super friendly and helpful and just such a joy upon arrival. I'm sorry I didn't get her a name otherwise I would mention it her to as recognition for an awesome welcome I received.
The first time I went to Amsterdam with my bestie, we arrived at the hotel at 8pm. It was by a very quiet river. Cute boutique hotel in the heart of Amsterdam. Friendly staff, fresh Continental breakfast and proximity to sights and transit made this hotel the perfect base camp for our visit. Lack of an elevator, air conditioning and mattresses that could use an update are the only reasons for 4 stars.
Centrally located hotel within walking distance to major attractions. Staff was friendly and we enjoyed the free breakfast. Hotel location is very good. Near many landmarks. Room size is OK. Breakfast is satisfactory. The downside is - the building is old, stairs are narrow and there is no elevator. Obviously if you are with children or with a large suitcase, or if you have difficulty climbing stairs, this hotel is not for you.
