Muscat Express Hotel in Muscat

Excellent place! The staff were friendly and incredibly helpful. We arrived in the morning and were able to check in earlier than expected. The reception staff even assisted us in booking a taxi at a very low price; we got to the airport for less than 2 rials. On our checkout day, we left our luggage in storage and went exploring the city.

The room was clean and quite spacious. Housekeeping came daily, though we sometimes skipped it. Every day, bottled water, tea, coffee, and sugar sachets were provided. The room had a fridge, TV, air conditioning, and a kettle. We requested a hairdryer, and it was brought promptly. The furniture was in good condition, and the beds were comfortable. The shower was stocked with shampoo, body gel, and other toiletries. You could also ask for a razor, hand cream, and toothpaste.

Breakfast was served from 6 to 10 AM. We had enough time to go to the beach before breakfast. There was a wide variety of dishes, with food and drinks to suit all tastes, including meats, eggs, pastries, vegetables, and fruits. In the hotel lobby, coffee and dates were available 24/7.

The hotel is conveniently located in Muscat. We walked to Ghubrah Beach every morning and evening, which was a 15-minute walk. The beach was clean and tidied daily. A new hotel being built nearby slightly spoiled the view.

Within walking distance, there are numerous cafes, restaurants, shops, and currency exchange offices. Car rentals are also readily available. A large shopping mall with cafes is about a 20-minute walk away.

Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is also nearby.

Overall, the hotel left a very pleasant impression.

Everything was great! There are shops and affordable cafes nearby, and you can get anywhere in the city within 15 minutes by taxi.

Good hotel. It's a 15-minute taxi ride from the airport. Most of Muscat's interesting sights are no more than 20 minutes away by taxi. Oman Avenues Mall is within walking distance. The staff were friendly. The room was large, clean, and everything was new. Breakfasts were generally good, but not perfect 😀

The room and the staff are nice

The room was very good, clean and with a nice look. The same for the bathroom, clean, spacious, and efficient.
I consider the ratio quality/price very good in this case.
The breakfast was ok, with some variety.

Stayed here during a layover, and it was super convenient being so close to the airport. We even got to see the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. I really liked the hotel; it was clean, breakfast was included, and the staff were very friendly.

I've had a great stay. Nice check-in staff. Clean, comfy and large room. Easy to get to. Appreciate the early check-in.

Arrived in the early morning hours and the reception checked me in promptly. Breakfast was good and value for money. Eggs can be fried to your choice of style. The room was sufficiently big and facilities were adequate. Know this is a 3 star hotel only. Would recommend to stay if on a budget. Sound proofing was not too good but I don't mind as most of the time I was out.
