Location is good. But thats it, no other positive points. Room was not clean. There was biryani left over in my bed. I woke up with a strong cigarette smell from the other rooms. No warm water the shower barely worked.

Our stay at the Uni Hotel coincided with Oman's National Day celebrations, and there happened to be a fireworks display at Qurum Beach. We were thrilled with this fantastic event, which was only a 5-minute walk to the venue at night. The hotel is dated, but it's clean enough, and the rooms are spacious enough for a small family.

Very disappointing experience at Qurum Beach Hotel in Muscat. The building is extremely old and poorly maintained. I booked a Deluxe Suite, but the room looked more like a third-class lodge — outdated furniture, dull interiors, and no proper upkeep. The overall atmosphere was far from what you would expect for the price they charge.
Waited for half an hour to get towels and soaps....Definitely not worth staying if you’re looking for comfort or quality accommodation in Muscat.

Would only recommend if cost is your primary concern.

On one hand, my bed was surprisingly spotless, there were no bugs in the room, and the front desk was helpful. Amazing location a few minutes walk from the beach.

On the other hand, my room (especially bathroom) was very dirty, the shower was in poor condition, the water smells strongly of sulfur, and the AC is very loud and intermittent.

While it is non-refundable once you check in, the front desk insists you see the room quality before you check in, so you know what you’re getting into. If you’re looking to sacrifice amenities/cleanliness for the lowest cost place to stay for a few nights, this is your hotel!

Cockroaches in a room that smelt of toilets. Under and behind any furniture was dirt and cockroaches. The room needs a thorough clean. Loud music from disco next to hotel. Nice staff but I wouldn’t stay here again.

Just 300 mtr to the beach, posh location. But not well maintained, this was once a top hotel now just below average. Loud noises from the bar can be heard till late at night
Food options are extremely limited.

In addition to the bedroom was also the front area like a living room (with a nice-sized couch, a small table for breakfast & a mini-fridge) which made the stay here a "nice comfortable one" I would say, and yes also getting something of a "serene relaxation" during my 8-day stay was by heading to the nearby "eastern end" of the Qurum Beach (at just about a 5-minute walk from this hotel) where the water was calm & fairly shallow (with feet touching the sea bottom to "some distance" into the water) and where it was also a pleasant walk along the "continuous stretch" of about half a kilometer (a longer one actually along the promenade above the beach). As for food, there were "nice & filling" biryani & fried rice at the restaurant next door (which is the restaurant of this hotel), and also at about a 15-minute walk away (to the right after coming out of the hotel entrance then along like a "winding street") is a small shopping square with like a mini-supermarket (with "quite a variety" to buy actually) & also a restaurant with some nice selections (including a delicious "Omani dessert" that I had). And yes, my many thanks are to the managers at the front desk, Akash from the guest services (who brought me a bread-and-omelette breakfast every morning) & also the staff at the hotel restaurant (for the nice dinners).
