The hotel was decent and very budget-friendly, making it a good option if you want to save money. The location is great—within walking distance of the souk and the corniche. The front desk staff were welcoming and always helpful.

I've noticed a common trend in hotels here: the lobby is typically grand and looks newly renovated, but the rooms themselves are quite old-fashioned. In my triple room, the headboard was designed for twin beds, and the third bed felt like an afterthought. There was no electric kettle, and the bathroom was tiny.

Great hotel for the price! Huge room. Cold AC & hot shower. The staff was incredibly kind & helpful. Saw reviews about loud music, but I wasn’t able to hear it from my room. I was able to walk to the old Souq & some other places (not the shortest walk, check out the distance on google maps) restaurant was great downstairs with cold beer. Highly recommended for other budget travelers!

Ideal location for Mutrah which you can walk to the centre and the water within about 15 minutes. Very helpful staff and friendly. It’s not 5 star accommodation but good value. I had a problem with my hire car and needed a jump start and the security guy helped me out.

The hotel was generally acceptable, but the room and bedding were dirty, run-down, and had a bad smell. The breakfast was also a disappointment; it wasn't a buffet, and the menu was fixed. Overall, I'm not satisfied with this establishment and wouldn't particularly recommend it, despite the staff being serious and helpful.

I was warmly welcomed at the hotel, and a staff member even helped me carry my luggage to my room, which I really appreciated. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.

The hotel is well-located, but the main drawback is the lack of nearby public transportation. The closest bus stop is about a 20-minute walk away, and the buses are highly unreliable and rarely on time. Additionally, taxis in the area do not accept credit cards, so you need to withdraw cash specifically to pay for rides, which can be inconvenient.

The furniture in the room is old. there are no slippers.
There is a SPAR supermarket near the hotel.

We have enjoyed our time in Matrah Hotel. It was quiet and clean. Desk people were very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast needs a lot of improvement, as it was only one option. which was an omelet.
It's very near to the corniche and Matrah souk.
