Larosa Hotel in Muscat

I stayed at Larosa Hotel for two days and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. The room cleanliness was far below expectations. The toilet was not clean at all, including the inside of the closet, which was very unhygienic and unpleasant. The floor of the room also appeared dirty and not properly maintained.

Another major issue was the air conditioner, whenever it was switched on, a bad and uncomfortable smell spread throughout the room, which made the stay very uncomfortable. The room lighting was very poor and insufficient, especially at night. There were also no proper charging sockets available for mobile phones, which is a basic facility every hotel room should provide.

Overall, the hotel seriously needs improvement in cleanliness, maintenance, and basic amenities. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this hotel unless they make significant improvements.

Worst ever hotel to stay in Oman,The hotel was not even providing basic amenities to stay in the hotel,we didnt even received a Bath towel,even when we called 10 times,They were treating like we were a refugee to them,We had a bad experience in which one of the room toilets granite tile exploded and caused destruction,Poor services and lack of basic amenities destroyed our muscat vacation stay,so people stay wise, try to choose better hotels other than this.

Cleanliness – The room floor was sticky and clearly not mopped properly, making it unhygienic and impossible for my child to walk barefoot. The bathroom was in an appalling state: the bathtub had visible stains, a strong foul smell filled the space, and overall it felt like it hadn’t been cleaned for a long time. Staying in such a condition was extremely uncomfortable and unacceptable.

Maintenance – While trying to close the bathroom door, the ceiling light fell off, leaving the bathroom unusable.

Service – Promised technician never came. No proactive support from staff even after repeated complaints.

Amenities – Towels, dental kits, and drinking water were not provided properly, even on the second day.

Check-in – Despite a confirmed Agoda booking, staff made us wait 30 minutes, claiming no record of reservation.

Room access – The key card failed four times; even staff’s master card didn’t work. After multiple trips to reception, we finally got another room past 1 AM.

Parking – No proper parking facility. Guests are forced to leave cars 500m–1km away, highly inconvenient especially with kids and luggage.

Overall impact – The issues forced us to check out early, losing one full day of our planned Muscat trip.

This was the most frustrating hotel stay of my life, and I strongly urge everyone to avoid booking this place.
