I enjoyed a 5 night break at Sands. A little apprehensive due to several negative reviews however my experience was very positive. The rooms are a good size and have everything you need including full fridge freezer and dishwasher. The entire complex is very clean and is thoughtfully laid out. I enjoyed the lane swimming and the surrounding area is perfect for running. I also used the gym several times. Shops and restaurants are within a 5-10 minute walk. A shout out to all the staff, you are amazing.

“Worst hotel experience ever. No AC in the middle of summer, filthy room with stains and a foul odor. We had to leave and book another hotel just to survive the night. Management’s response? Refuse to refund the unused nights and act like it’s our fault. Complete scam — avoid at all costs! #HotelFail #TravelNightmare #BadService #NeverAgain”

PLEASE, PLEASE!!! Do not stay at this hotel, the worst experience I have ever had in my life, full of cockroaches, no AC, no Fan, dirty linens, dirty bathroom, full of molds, they are a scam!!!

I loved the resort; it's perfect for spending a few days in Lanzarote. The grounds are huge, and your little house is in a square with its own pool. It has a living room, bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. The receptionists and cleaning staff are very friendly. I definitely recommend this resort to anyone who visits Lanzarote.

Very dilapidated hotel. Cathedral style room which heats a lot in summer. No air conditioning.
Average restaurant and very limited choice.
Pools too dirty.
For 150€ per night I expected much better.
Hotel must not exceed €70 for half board.
Bring water as there are no drinking fountains.
I strongly advise against it.

The room was very large and comfortable, the kitchen had all the necessary utensils to make your meals, the pools were very clean. The bed was comfortable but a little old and it sounded as soon as you moved. The bathroom was fine, with always hot water, but the tub was very rusty. In general everything is good, it just needs a few small renovations to make it look like new.

The property was basic. It smelt very musty on the first night and although it was cleaned daily it has an cockroaches in the apartment

Was quite impressed with the facilities especially for the price I paid. The room (small apartment) was a generous size but the bed was very uncomfortable and the wind was noisy against the old windows. As was the beeping from machinery backing onto the property from the early hours. The room needs updating as not just were fixtures and fitting dates but some were leaky/loose. The balcony was a lovely space quite private. The layout was pleasant too and was quiet apart from the work behind the building.

Great selection of fresh buffet food. Recipes changed daily on mains. Good salad selections. All staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts choice is good too. Would recommend to anyone. Prices on alchoholic beverages is a little expensive but to be expected in restaurant.

This buffet restaurant is seriously overpriced offering bland bulk cooked spaghetti, vegetables and meat.
The make your own salad table was nice but is not worth the 16 Euro, drinks still cost extra which makes this buffet very expensive. Didn't try the breakfast it might be better value for money, dinner was terrible.

Part of Sands Beach resort hotel, the Mai Tai has its own dedicated pool. The Mai Tai itself is a bar area which is undercover as well as eating area indoors.
The food choice is a little limited, though the service is prompt.
Around the pool you can hire a sun lounger and parasol for €6 a day close to the pool side, which some might find expensive but due to the price it means you'll always be able to get a seat ?
