We’ve just come back from a really enjoyable holiday at the Alua Calas De Mallorca and overall had a fantastic time. The rooms were good – clean, comfortable, and serviced every day, which was great to see and kept everything fresh throughout our stay. There were a couple of small downsides. The food wasn’t always the best and was sometimes only lukewarm, but there was still enough choice to get by and it certainly didn’t take away from the holiday overall. What really stood out and made the trip was the staff – they were absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Friendly, approachable, and always willing to go the extra mile. A big thank you to the bar staff – Jamie, Karen, Abdellah, Jose Maria, Daya, Mario, Maria Jesus, Raquel, Samuel and Isabel – always smiling, always helpful, and created a great atmosphere. The entertainment team – Gonzalo, Wilson, Alvaro and Laura – were fantastic and kept things fun and engaging throughout. Reception also deserve a mention, especially Waka and Luisa, who were amazing when helping me sort an issue with my iPad connection – really appreciated the support. Overall, a great holiday with a few minor areas to improve, but the staff truly made it a 5-star experience for us. We’d definitely return.

We had a fantastic stay at Alua Cales de Mallorca Resort with my wife and our 2-year-old daughter. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was so warm – friendly staff and welcome drinks on arrival set the tone perfectly.
The food was brilliant, with a different theme every evening, and the main restaurant overlooking the sea was beautiful. The staff were outstanding throughout our stay – so friendly and especially engaging with our daughter. Isabel in the restaurant deserves a special mention, she was absolutely fantastic.
Our room in the main building was spacious, clean, and had a bath which was ideal for our little one. We asked for a fridge and the team made it happen quickly. The sea views from the room were stunning.
The resort itself was great for families – two main pools and two smaller pools for children, plus a stunning sandy beach just a 10-minute buggy-friendly walk along the coastal path. At the hotel, sun loungers were never too much of a problem, and we loved watching the lifeguard enforce the “no reserving” rule by removing towels – a nice touch!
Overall, a brilliant family holiday with excellent service, lovely facilities, and everything we needed for a relaxing break. We’ll definitely be back!

We’ve just returned from another fantastic stay at Alua Calas de Mallorca and honestly it never disappoints. The food was lovely with a really good variety each day. As an all-inclusive hotel, it’s definitely recommended — you genuinely never go hungry or thirsty, there’s always something available to eat and drink throughout the day. The pool snacks were also really tasty and perfect for keeping you going between meals. However, the absolute best thing about this hotel — and the main reason we keep coming back — is the entertainment team. They are unbelievable at what they do. From the evening shows to the poolside games and all the craic in between, they bring the whole place to life. Wilson and Consalo kept us in great spirits all week, and the entire team consistently go above and beyond. They genuinely make the hotel experience what it is, and without them it just wouldn’t have the same energy or atmosphere. We’re already booking for a third time next May and can’t wait to see them all again doing what they do best — keeping everyone entertained with their high energy and great vibes.

We arrived last Monday for a friend's birthday and were greeted on arrival with Pina Coladas, which we thought was a lovely touch. The check-in was friendly, prompt and we were on our way to the rooms in no time! Our twin room was a basic room but the views were had from the balcony overlooking the coast were stunning. Everything about this hotel was amazing, all areas kept spotless. The choice of drinks available from the all inclusive were spot on but if there was something not included, you had to buy but prices were more than 50% cheaper than back at home. And the choice of food at all meal times as well as the bar snacks were plentiful and appetising. Need to give a big shout out to the entertainment crew, especially Alvario, Laura and Wilson, who kept us entertained day and night. And also to the bar staff.

While the room itself was pleasant, offering beautiful views and a lovely sunrise each morning, my overall experience was far from what I expected, particularly given the hotel's rating and our booking expectations. Firstly, despite having specifically booked a double room, we were provided with two single beds. We were informed that a double bed was an optional request, which I find perplexing, as our reservation clearly indicated a preference for a double. This oversight was frustrating and disappointing. The service at the hotel was also inconsistent. Some staff members were exceptionally helpful and attentive, promptly addressing any issues I raised. However, others were unprofessional and dismissive, which left a negative impression. This was especially disheartening towards the end of the season, when one would expect staff to remain professional and customer-focused. The quality of food was another significant concern. The meals provided were consistently substandard, with no clear labelling of ingredients, making it a potential hazard for guests with allergies. The menu was monotonous, with fish being served daily, despite my personal dislike of it. Unfortunately, both my partner and I fell ill from the food, which severely impacted our holiday. When my partner attempted to report the food poisoning incident, the reception staff, particularly one individual, was rude and unhelpful. My partner was told to wait until customer service opened at 9:00 AM, only to find that no one was available. A second receptionist, Fabian, was even more unprofessional, tried to flip the desk and knocking over signs in a display of poor behaviour. We were left without any apology or assistance. The drink options were also subpar. Cocktails were made from a machine rather than freshly prepared, resulting in diluted, ice-heavy drinks. Additionally, many of the cocktails required an additional charge, despite the hotel offering an all-inclusive package. We were provided with two drink tokens upon arrival, limiting us to just one drink each. This was quite disappointing and restrictive for an all-inclusive resort. The lifts were another major inconvenience. There are only two lifts serving the hotel, and one was consistently out of order, making it a challenge to navigate between floors, especially when the hotel was busy. We were on the 8th floor and often had to wait 5 to 10 minutes for the lift to arrive, or resort to using the stairs. For guests with mobility issues, this situation would be especially problematic, and I can't imagine how difficult it would be during peak season. While the hotel is marketed as all-inclusive, I did not find it to be a good value for the price paid. The surrounding area offered limited dining and shopping options, none of which were particularly noteworthy. The beach, though a 10-15 minute walk, was tucked away in a cove and provided a different, yet pleasant, experience from the typical sunbed setup. The entertainment wa

We saved all year to take our 20-month-old on his first holiday, and this hotel completely ruined it. Within 1.5 days, all three of us came down with food poisoning and had to cut our trip short to come home early.
Room:
The shower was either boiling hot or freezing cold — impossible to bathe our baby safely. When our child was sick, we asked reception for help with towels and bedding. The staff initially said they had nothing, then reluctantly handed us two towels and a bit of blue roll. The toilet frequently overflowed, the bathroom and hallway reeked of mould and urine, and the shower screen wasn’t even attached properly — it was wobbling and could easily have shattered. We reported everything to management, but nothing was ever fixed, and no one came to check.
Hotel facilities:
The so-called “kids play area” doesn’t exist. The outdoor pools were freezing (as expected for the season), but the indoor pool — one of the main reasons we booked — has been closed for months. Several staff even mentioned it hasn’t been open in ages. Our “sea view” room came with a generator directly below it, making it impossible to sleep from the constant noise.
Food:
The buffet was awful. Meat was undercooked and unsafe — we nearly ate raw chicken — and several other guests were complaining too. There’s barely any food suitable for children, and even basic things like plates and cutlery were hard to find. We ended up surviving on plain pasta and fruit.
Absolutely not what we paid for. This hotel needs a serious inspection — it’s unsafe, unsanitary, and completely misrepresented online. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, especially families with young children.

We've just come back from a week long stay at Alua Calas and was pleasantly surprised, after reading some reviews regarding food/cleanliness and general unhappiness with people's holidays, we wasn't expecting much !
Check in was prompt, we stayed in the 'Mirador' building on the 11th floor and the views are stunning. The room is a little tired, along with the hotel in places but does the job ! Unfortunately we experienced a lot of rain one particular day and there was some water coming down the walls in our bathroom !
The food is decent, always something to find, could be a little hotter, especially we found at breakfast, but overall we enjoyed it.
Probably with it being the time of year we always found a sunbed, never reserved one, just went down when we was ready.
Local shops and bars only 10-15 min walk away, along with a bus stop going to various locations.
Overall a nice relaxing stay, so thank you Alua Calas de Mallorca !
