First time visiting this hotel and area staying mid September. Check in was very good, very nice lady on reception was helpful and welcoming. The hotel very kindly upgraded us to a Junior suite with pool and distant sea views. Overall the room was very nice very comfortable beds with a separate lounge area and large terrace. Fabulous bathroom with separate bath and walk in shower. The only thing is the furniture could do with being modernised a little bit. Aircon worked very well which was good as temperatures were still 35 degrees. The pool area was great and opened at 10.00 am. No rush for sun loungers being mid September but I imagine maybe not the case in height of summer. Very clean as well and loungers were in very good condition. Used the pool chiringuito several times for drinks and service was always very good everybody queuing in an orderly fashion. Pool is more of a dipping pool but that was what was needed with the heat. Found our time around the pool to be very relaxing and very chilled. The only negative we have is the dining room it really needs to brought into the twenty first century. The overall appearance is very dull and gloomy and not at all welcoming. Food wise although the hotel has a limited choice for both breakfas and dinner we were always able to find something to eat and generally very good quality. Have to say the coffee machines at breakfast are very good. Overall we really enjoyed our trip and 100 % would return.

We have had a great holiday at Ohtels Cabogata. When we arrived we had been upgraded to a suite. The room was spacious with a safe, fridge and an amazing bathroom. There were daily cleaning if required, but the hotel was clean and well maintained. Our room was above the night entertainment which doesn't start till 10pm so if you are a light sleeper can keep you awake. The location of the hotel is only 20 minutes from the airport so we were here quickly. It is situated near a small village where at this time of year not much is open and what is, is aimed at the Spanish holiday makers. This made going out for food quite difficult. The food at the hotel was ok. I did mange to find something to eat every day, but sometimes it was just salad. That isn't because of the amount of food on offer but just for personal likes/dislikes. You had to make sure you mixed the food as the food is kept on heaters that heat from underneath so the food on top got a little cold. Food from the outside bar was not cooked to order, so when I went for a burger, they were cold and unable to be eaten. However, the chips and pastries were really nice. The pool didn't open until 11am which is a bit of a shame for this who like a morning swim. However, there were sunbeds that were accessible. The staff at the resort were really pleasant and helpful, especially Robert and Tatiana on the bar, and the lady on reception with long brown hair, and glasses. Thank you for a great stay.

Up on arrival we’ve never been to this hotel nor the area so didn’t no what to expect, got dropped off right outside the reception door, upon entering I thought this is nice, the reception guy was very pleasant English not very good but it was enough, we was lucky to get a junior suite over looking the pool which was very spacious and lovely, beds where so comfortable and very big lovely bathroom, the cleaners where in every day making beds and changing towels,we arrived late evening and the restaurant was still open all different types of food on offer you won’t starve in there plenty to choose from, the bar staff pleasant, the pool area is spacious with plenty of beds and a lovely pool, the pool bar staff work very hard serving drinks and doing snacks though out the day you just need to be patient, entertainment is all Spanish, you could see the cleaners still working in the evening outside, outside the complex you’d fine 1 supermarket and about 10 restaurants,it’s perfect for a nice chilled out break where you can relax and meet people have a laugh

Booked this late and wanted a stress-free week in the sun. Check in was great, took no time at all. Our room was huge, very spacious with every thing we needed. The beds were so comfortable. Bathroom facilities were superb with a lovely shower. Air con worked well. Pool area was good, never struggled to get a sunbed, it did get busy around lunch time but we were always there around 10.30 so had no problems getting a bed. The restaurant had some good dishes and we always found something tasty that we liked. Ok so here's the negatives....only 2 though. Having been to a fair few All inclusive hotels this is the first one I have ever seen where the bar staff have to cook and serve snacks at the same time as serving drinks meaning at times the queue at the bar was horrendous, especially between noon and 1pm and 4pm to 5pm. To be fair the staff work so hard and really deserve so much credit for trying to get everyone served, they need a pay rise. Just a separate snack bar would be perfect and maybe a small onsite shop for essentials. At breakfast the 'hot' items....scrambled eggs, sausages etc were always cold which is such a shame as they tasted great but not ideal. That said we had the best time here and would definitely return as we overall had a super week looked after by hardworking friendly staff. Small town 15 minutes walk, pebble beach 10 minutes walk away with a lovely walk way built over looking the beach. Had a super week thank you!

This hotel was absolutely wonderful. We stayed for a week and we loved it. I see a lot of reviews complaining about the hotel being Spanish speaking which English people are moaning about. This did not bother us as we aren't entitled and believe everyone should speak our language! The staff tried their absolute best and were super friendly even with the language barrier. Yes the entertainment is all in Spanish but it is easy to get the gist of what's happening. The drinks were strong and there were lots of variety. There were always singers available and the pool music was good to listen to. And the music is off from around 2pm till 5 when the entertainment starts again. The food had amazing variety and we always left feeling nice and full. The water on the table was a great touch too. We could not fault the rooms at all! It felt so luxurious and the air conditioning was so good that we sometimes had to turn it off as it got too cold! The entertainment does finish at midnight which may be a problem for some but for us, we were on holiday so we didn't mind the late nights. The entertainment team truly work their socks off all day, some of them we saw everyday and they put their heart and soul into it. The only thing I'd recommend as an improvement is sometimes the signs above the food were wrong in the buffet hall. As a vegetarian, I did notice a few times where it claimed a dish was vegetarian but I could see that there was meat on it. But this didn't bother me as I'd probably double check anyway! I've noticed some reviews mention the pool area being unclean but this was all down to the families which were there. We saw some unacceptable behaviour from families who left their rubbish and food everywhere and didn't dispose of them. Yes the cleaning staff cleaned it up but anything like that, is down to people (in our case, English families) who have no manners or respect for the hotel. We had an amazing stay and would love to come back! Don't let the bad reviews put you off, it's peoples entitlement and high standards which is the problem, not the hotels!

We visited this hotel for a week, arriving on 8th July 2025. Let me start off by saying Danny, the hotel manager, David and Maria who were his bar managers were all fantastic and really couldn't do enough to make you feel welcome and comfortable - it's a shame we didn't meet them until later in the stay. Unfortunately they really struggled to carry the downfall of the rest of the staff who, once they knew you were English, basically put you at the back of the queue or refused to talk to you even in attempted Spanish and provided below par service compared to the other local guests. Restaurant / Bars - 3/10 Breakfast was cold. There's no easy way to say that the "hot" items on the buffet were freezing cold which is definitely a food safety issue. There were trays of scrambled eggs, beans, mushrooms, bacon and sausages that even at 08:00 when it opened, were freezing cold. I will say the freshly made omelettes by the chef were lovely and I ended up having these every day. The pastry and cold meats selections were fairly nice. Dinner wasn't too bad overall. There was a decent selection of hot and cold food with plenty of choice for adults and children alike and the food was always kept just about warm, at no point was the buffet food hot (again we tried this at 20:00 when the buffet opened). I'd avoid the grill chef completely in the evenings. After ordering a piece of pork from the grill I watched the chef stop picking up the raw meat with the tongues, and then use the same tongues to give me the cooked meat, and straight back to loading up the raw chops onto the grill. Needless to say this went straight in the bin and is another massive food safety issue. The biggest food safety issue was the raw food at the pool bar. My 5 year old daughter was served a raw in the middle chicken burger which made her incredibly ill (see the attached photos). This is at the same time as the English people next to me at the bar being served beef burgers that had been sat on the grill for hours, whilst when the locals were requesting food, the burgers were being cooked from scratch. As you can imagine, these were freezing cold and disgusting after being sat hovering over the grill. Again, the same with fries. There were cooked, put into bowls and left on the side for hours and when ordered by the English, thrown back into the fryer for a minute to be reheated. The locals were treated to freshly cooked fries straight from the freezer. The coffee/in hotel bar is advertised as having hot food available from 16:00 to midnight, but on two occasions, we found that only crisps and ice cream were available — no hot food as described. Hotel Room - 6/10 We decided to upgrade to a junior suite before the trip which was a fantastic idea as it gave us 2 x double beds in the main bedroom, then a living area with a single pull out bed under the sofa which was surprisingly comfortable. Our daughter slept like a log on the pull out bed and it gave her a bit of space to her

One of the best holidays we’ve had. The staff are absolutely amazing ( in particular David at the pool bar and Tatiana (fifteen at the main bar indoors)). Most of the staff can speak a little English, with one or two being very good. This is not an issue as it’s easy enough to learn a little Spanish to help. The food in the restaurant was excellent. A huge variety which catered for all, including coeliac’s which we found pleasantly surprising. The pool areas are brilliant, with plenty of activities throughout the day. Our little girl really enjoyed the kids club. Again, the staff in there speak good enough English if needed. The hotel location was great with only a short walk to the beach. The views from the promenade were out of this world. What we loved most about the area was that is was so traditionally Spanish, and we were able to fall right into the local way of life. As a family, we can’t thank the hotel staff enough. They were absolutely amazing from the minute we checked in, until departure this morning.

The check in took an age
The senior person it seems decided no to check us in ,and asked the assistant.
This person decided from the off that she would not speak to us.
Rooms very good
Tha hallways show consideral damages and patches applied to walls.
Food!plenty on show, but twice the food that should have been hot was cold.
Breakfast is good.
When booking we asked if we could have breakfast and midday meal. The travel agent rang and this was agreed, not to the liking of the reception at the restaurant.
Lighting in my room 226 was not working properly
The headboard lights only switched on/off you could not have one light on and one off
Bathroom.the main ceiling light came on when it felt .like it.
No towel provided for the bidet or soap dispenser.
Which meant you had to get soap from bathroom in your hand and return to bidet.
No football was shown which is a pity.
Some of the staff were pleasent and cordial.

Nice clean hotel and friendly staff, very quiet area, need to get a bus into the city as there's only a few tapas bars down the road and some on the plaza across the road from the hotel.

The hotel staff are excellent, as is the food, rooms, pools, fast WiFi and amenities. There is a lovely children's play area in the shade. And a nice Spa with excellent treatments.
