Albades Hotel Only Adults in Benicassim

Stayed here for four nights and it was an okay experience overall, though a few things could definitely be improved.

The hotel charges at check in which caught me off guard since I didn’t have the same card I booked with, but that’s completely on me for not noticing the policy earlier. The room itself was much smaller than expected. Once you’ve got luggage and bags open there really isn’t much moving space. The air conditioning works but takes a while, so give it an hour or so to really cool the room.

The shower was good but the bathroom sink design is not practical at all. The tap sits right in the middle which makes it awkward to lean over and wash your face without splashing water everywhere.

Soundproofing is pretty much nonexistent. Around 9am you start hearing everything from neighbouring rooms, from people closing their doors to dragging chairs, and you can feel it in your bed. The bedding was also disappointing. The blanket is basically just a thin sheet so it feels like they forgot to put an actual duvet on.

For a resort style hotel with spa and pool facilities it was surprising that they don’t provide slippers. The pool area is nice but sunbeds are limited so you’ll want to go early to grab one.

Breakfast was decent and I appreciated that it runs until 11am on weekends. The options are mostly continental with limited hot dishes and the scrambled eggs were unfortunately very overcooked.

All in all, four nights came to €580 which didn’t really feel like a bargain. I’d say it’s fine if you’re there for the spa or pool and just need a place to crash, but don’t expect much from the rooms.
